The Brooklyn-bred female rapper Foxy Brown has been given 11 weeks in solitary confinement after she fought with another inmate in prison. This involves the rapper having to sleep, eat, and live 23 hours a day in a recreation area away from the other general inmates. She is allowed 1 hour a day to see visitors. Brown is serving a year in jail for violating her probation after a fight she had in a New York nail salon back in 2004. This has been followed by a trail of misdemeanours including refusing to attend court hearings, skipping anger management classes, travelling out of the city without permission, charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges put against her
