Forget that TMZ booking photo, the bookings for tickets were HOT as the people of Lagos were thrilled with the annual Cross River festival which came up on December 28th, tagged "Akon Live Concert." The concert which featured internationally acclaimed music icon, Akon, and a galaxy of Nigerian artistes such as MTV Base award winner, Tuface Idibia; toast master, Blakky; Obudu brand icon, Sunny Neji; Olu Maintain; Sammie Okposo; KC Presh; Feladey, D'banj; and South African jazzist, Hugh Masakela. All those artists I just mentioned are your Jay-Z, Snoop, Bustas of Nigeria.....as a matter of fact they all performed alongside each other in 2006 which I covered in that slide show above.

Akon visits my country, Nigeria for the New Years bash!
