MARIAH CAREY's ex-boyfriend may have driven NICK CANNON into the pop diva's arms when he suggested she use the rapper/actor in her new video. Insiders claim it was music producer Mark Sudack who urged the pop superstar to call Cannon and ask him to play her love interest in the Bye Bye video. Cannon and Carey fell in love on the set two months ago, and the couple wed last wee. A source tells Life & Style magazine, "Mark thought Nick was a good-looking guy who'd be perfect for the video. "But, as soon as Mariah met Nick, she fell for him. And everyone on set could tell Nick was crazy about her, too."
