DYNAMIC TORONTO RAPPER P.REIGN ACQUITTED OF GUN CHARGES.

Raynford Humphrey wiped away tears as a judge acquitted him on weapon charges Monday, praising the Toronto rapper for being “bright and articulate.”“I hope you take this as an opportunity to do the very best in your life,” Justice Michael Code told Humphrey, who performs under the name P. Reign. The 25-year-old was charged with nine counts of weapon possession after three loaded handguns were found in his Cadillac in the early hours of March 8, 2008.Humphrey was on his way to a paid club appearance in the Entertainment District when he was pulled over for having an expired validation sticker on his license plate. Officers found the guns hidden under the driver and front passenger seats and in an armrest compartment.

Humphrey’s lawyer, Edward Greenspan, argued that his client didn’t know the guns were in his car. His two passengers, younger brother Jason Humphrey, an alleged member of the Galloway Boys gang, and neighbour Raymond Powell, earlier pleaded guilty to weapons possession.Code said he had reasonable doubt about Humphrey’s knowledge of the guns and noted there was no direct evidence linking him to the weapons. The judge said Humphrey, who testified on his own behalf, appeared “honest and sincere.”“It’s a very difficult situation you found yourself in,” Code told Humphrey before wishing him, his wife and young son the best.Audible sighs of relief came from Humphrey’s friends and family as Code read his judgment in Ontario Superior Court.

Later, P. Reign became a local trending topic on Twitter as fans congratulated the rapper on the not-guilty verdict. A photo of Humphrey celebrating with a bottle of Dom PĂ©rignon was later posted to the site.Outside the courthouse, Greenspan said the acquittal was solid, with no chance of an appeal from the Crown. He called Code’s well wishes for his client “rare to see.”“Everybody’s got great hopes for Raynford and by being acquitted today … he can go on to make a great life for himself,” Greenspan said.Humphrey, who once toured with international hip-hop star Drake, said the charges have hindered his career by making it impossible to travel for the last three years.“I expect it to flourish a lot more now that this is finally behind me,” he said. “I just want to get across that border. My No. 1 dream is to make not only the city proud but this country proud.

NOW THAT THE VERDICT IN: CONGRATS to Toronto Rapper King P.Reign, Drake's awesome protege of being found NOT GUILTY of gun charges. P. Reign is a big mentor to KJ. KJ loves everything about P.Reign. His voice is so powerful to kids. Before I met him, I asked a promoter to give him my home number to wish my son a Happy 10th birthday last November 11th 2010. HE took time off a concert set and CALLED and left KJ the most awesome message for his birthday. KJ was jumping on the sofa like it was Oprah's couch!!

I examined this case, studied it closely and though I network with the Toronto Police EXTENSIVELY, I am not a judge or lawyer or cop but I truly believed those guns were not his. The Judge has ruled. Congrats also on his MMVA nomination. You can rise from the ashes. P.Reign has a very powerful voice for the youth in Toronto. He's always involved with them positively. It's now time to cross the border and let US audiences see his talent. Good luck man!

Victoria Day 2011 Long Weekend in Canada

Victoria Day celebrates Queen Victoria's birthday (May 24th). Canada is still a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, of which the Queen is head.

Victoria Day is always on a Monday, and thus the holiday is part of a long weekend, which is commonly referred to as the Victoria Day Weekend, the May Long Weekend, the May Long, or the May Two-Four (a case of beer there is called a "two-four" and many of these are consumed over the holiday). The weekend is also called the May 24th weekend, although it does not necessarily fall on May 24th.

The Victoria Day Weekend always falls on the weekend before Memorial Day in the U.S.

The Victoria Day Weekend is the first popular weekend for spring / summer travel. Lots of people open up their cottages, plant gardens, or just get away. Expect crowds at resorts and hotels and busy highways. Fireworks displays are common, especially on Monday night.

Banks, schools, many stores and restaurants are closed on the Monday. Call ahead to find out about other attractions and tourist spots. Public transportation will run on a holiday schedule.

BEYONCE RECEIVES BILLBOARD MILLENIUM AWARD.

Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, and Stevie Wonder paid tribute to Beyonce's 15 year career at the Billboard awards. It was beautiful as her mom handed her the award. Beyonce recently teamed up with Obama and the National Education Foundation to fight against childhood obesity and serenaded the first couple with Etta James' "At Last" during their inauguration ball in January 2009. Congrats to her.

EXCLUSIVE: DRAKE'S FORMER MANAGER DREW WILSON WANTED AGAIN (PART 2) THIS TIME DEFRAUDING DRAKE, NICKI AND A PROMOTER WITH ELDERLY AUNTY'S HELP.

Drew posing with President Clinton on a Toronto visit (Facebook)

So the Toronto Police has now grabbed Drew Dazzle's elderly aunt for helping launder money into her account, this time to the tune of $560,000. Drew is no stranger to these scam and fraud controversies. You remember last year he was arrested for other fraud schemes. Drew Wilson is now in the front of the Toronto Sun as a wanted man again! This time he's booking phony concerts in the name of Drake and Nicki Minaj? What the hell Drew? The Sun's Chris Doucette told me of these developments and I thought he was reffering to the last arrest not aware that it was a DeJa Vu thing!

The 41-year-old Malvern man also used his elderly aunt to help his $560,000 scam, Toronto Police alleged. But with Andrew Wilson so far refusing to surrender, his 76-year-old aunt is left facing the rap alone. “He portrays himself as a high roller who moves in the circles of hip hop artists and other famous people,” Det. Al Verwey said. Wilson allegedly uses many aliases, including Drew Dazzle and Drew Gibson. “He flashes cash, buys drinks and make himself out to be a big spender,” Verwey said. “He talks a good game and I guess some people take him at face value.”

A private investigator in the US stumbled upon a story about Drew ripping off a concertThe South African promoter wanted to put on a series of concerts with Drake and Nicky Minaj and they contacted Wilson after getting his name from a local promoter, Verwey said.“Wilson had some connections with Drake when he was still up-and-coming in Toronto,” Verwey said. “But at some point... the two severed their business relationship.”

But Wilson used copies of Drake’s contracts to prove he was legitimate, Verwey said.Wilson allegedly billed $60,000 and had the cash sent to a U.S. account in his aunt’s name, Verwey said. The promoter then sent $500,000 to an account in Singapore, which was then transferred to a bank in Lebanon. But it’s still unclear what happened to that money.Drake’s publicist Sarah Cunningham said all the performer’s bookings go through ICM and he is solely managed by Bryant Management and Hip Hop Since 1978.
Now this pretty much explains why Cortez Bryant had these disclaimers on his website. He refers to the scammer as defrauding ppl across the nation. Now it looks like across the world!
