REMEMBERING THE KING OF POP MICHAEL JACKSON 4 YEARS LATER. AUGUST 29TH 1958-JUNE 25TH 2009.
In a new revelation by the Associated Press, reports that Michael Jackson's inability to learn new dance moves and remember the lyrics to his songs were symptoms that the singer was totally sleep deprived by the time of his death, a sleep expert told a jury Friday.Charles Czeisler said reports by workers on Jackson's ill-fated comeback concerts that the entertainer was losing weight, exhibiting signs of paranoia and his condition seemed to be deteriorating were consistent with someone who hadn't gotten any real sleep in a long time.
The sleep deprivation was likely caused by Jackson's use of the anesthetic propofol, which Czeisler said would put the singer in a drug-induced coma and not meet his body's need for actual sleep. Studies showed that similar levels of sleep deprivation resulted in the deaths of laboratory animals and would likely cause the death of a human, he said.
The extreme nature of Jackson's sleep deprivation would have shortened the singer's life unless he received appropriate treatment, Czeisler said. With proper treatment, Jackson could have continued to tour and perform for many years, he testified.
Czeisler relied heavily on summaries of testimony provided by a plaintiff's lawyer and emails from choreographers and others working on Jackson's "This Is It" tour to form his opinion. The testimony detailed Jackson's missed rehearsals and reports that he was picking up dance moves slowly, as well as that he requested a teleprompter to display lyrics to his songs.
"The meticulous detailing of his deterioration here was both profound and sad," Czeisler said.
The Harvard professor and sleep researcher is testifying as a sleep expert in a lawsuit filed by the singer's mother against concert promoter AEG Live LLC.
On cross-examination by AEG defense attorney Kathryn Cahan, the researcher acknowledged that he hadn't reviewed actual testimony from the case, including statements from AEG executives that they thought the singer appeared fine and had stellar rehearsals before his death.
Czeisler, who is being paid $950 an hour for his work on the case, said he reached his opinion after reviewing deposition transcripts, medical records and other evidence shown to jurors during Katherine Jackson's eight-week trial against AEG.
A lawyer for Katherine Jackson summarized the evidence used to form the basis for Czeisler's opinion in a 17-minute, 1,833 word question that caused the trial to grind to a halt on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.
Michael Koskoff's inquiry was posed as a hypothetical question to Czeisler that included a summary of testimony, passages of emails already shown to jurors and other evidence presented during trial.
A judge said the question contained details that are inadmissible in the trial and misstated several other details. Superior Court Yvette Palazuelos opted not to strike the question from the record but allowed Koskoff to clarify it. That process took another 19 minutes on Friday.
Attorneys spent roughly an hour arguing over the structure of the lengthy question, leaving jurors waiting for nearly 30 minutes on Friday.
Czeisler earned more than $250 listening to the initial question, and more than $300 listening to Koskoff clarify it. Czeisler is a Harvard-educated sleep expert who has consulted on sleep issues for sports teams, the Rolling Stones, ex-NBA player Shaquille O'Neal and government agencies such as the CIA and U.S. Marshals Service.
In all, he estimated that he had spent 120 hours on the case, which would earn him $114,000.
Katherine Jackson's negligent hiring suit claims AEG Live is responsible for her son's death because it failed to properly investigate Conrad Murray, who was convicted of giving Jackson a fatal dose of propofol, and missed warning signs about his health.
AEG denies it hired Murray or could have known that the former cardiologist was giving Jackson propofol as a sleep aid.

Oh!!!! This is one of those kids I loved with bold lyrics that changes your mind about youth today. He was so positive. One of his tracks (Let Me Ride) got my attention while I was still fighting gun violence in Canada when Snupe said "Before the rap game, it was all gun play" He loved his new rapper status. All you had to do was listen to him. I woke up this morning going to the majors etc. This morning, Líl Snupe did not wake up!! Lil Snupe joined the Dreamchaser roster and his recently released mixtape was R.N.I.C. (Real Ni**a in Charge).
There is no word yet on the exact events leading to his cause of death. I will keep you updated. Below is what his manager Lee tweeted.

GOOD MOVE: BRITISH PRIME MINISTER THREATENS TO CUT OFF AID TO NIGERIA FOR OUR ANTI-GAY LAWS.
British Prime Minister, David Cameron, on Friday said his government might consider cutting off aid to Nigeria over same sex marriage bill passed by the House of Representatives on last week. The Senate had passed its own version in November 2011.
Cameron spoke on a British Broadcasting Corporation show. He said he would take up the issue with President Goodluck Jonathan soon.The prime minister said he would restate his government’s strong objection to the passage of the bill. The prime minister was reacting to a question by a Nigerian resident in London, Bisi.
“When we meet with Nigerian politicians and leaders, we will be clear about those things we agreed on. We have to be clear where we disagree. We will make clear where we stand on those issues,” he said.
When asked whether Britain would consider stopping a projected 50 per cent increase in aid to Nigeria or cutting it outright, Cameron said, “Nothing is off the table. We need to have these conversations. We also have some very important objectives with Nigerians, for instance on how to deal with the appalling rates of poverty in Northern Nigeria, which are part of the problems confronting the country.”
Britain and some Western Nation had previously expressed opposition to the bill.
Cameron had in October 2011 threatened to cut off aid to countries which ban gay and lesbians.
I think he should and also John Baird and Harper in Canada. Have Nigerians even thought about learning about the bigger picture? There are so many Nigerian Igbos and Edo women who enter Canada in large human trafficking rings claiming asylum from lesbianism. The minute they get their permanent resident papers, they start having more babies with their secret boyfriends who trafficked them in.
I will protect their identity until I need to, but with this anti-gay law, maybe Canada can notice now. Gay magazines I spoke to in Canada told me they were worried about the plight of the real gays that may be fleeing from Nigeria.

The real claimants will flood these countries and cost them taxpayers money. Why do these countries have to take care of full Nigerian citizens?
They work the system while people like me who claim violence in media outlets are given 5 years and not renewed. Either way, everyone has a right of freedom to stay in their country and not face 14 years and people like me face 10 years for hosting a party in a gay club or organizing a community meeting to educate them about HIV/AIDS. No wonder 700,000 adults are infected in Benue state alone, a bulk of them GAY YOUTH! Nigerians never look at the bigger picture.

At about 1.30pm Thursday afternoon, there was pandemonium in Ikolaba GRA near the late Justice Kayode Eso's home on Ajayi Osungbekun street when pedestrians were fleeing as well as okara riders and motorists making fast u-turns. As I looked out from my balcony, I heard shots fired and could not exactly find out what has transpired. Another reason we need an emergency responder system in Nigeria. NO 911/999 system to contact police asap. Armed men apparently trailed a man said to be coming from the First Bank in Agodi with a large sum of cash. As he got to the speed bump at the corner of Green acres, the Okada double crossed him and the passenger on the bike opened fire and grabbed the money in the trunk of the car (boot). They both fled on the bike and left the man bleeding. Operation Burst. the Oyo state Crime patrol squad arrived moments later. I spoke to eye witnesses and will have the video later today as I sent the story to my Tribune newsroom.
There is no word yet on the man's condition but on twitter some say he has died. I will contact the University College Hospital to confirm that. Be aware of your surroundings when you go to the bank. People are always watching you. watch them and see if anyone may be trailing you. Avoid large sums of cash and use ATM cards to make payments and pay for services. There is no one safe rule. Just be safe.

WHY ARE NIGERIANS ILLITERATE IN HUGE NUMBERS???
80% of ppl on my page are illiterates. Are U one of them or are u one of the 20%? Tell me.
I can't tell whether this is a texting issue or spelling or what?Just look at the comments, spellings and all. Many coming out of the NYSC cannot fill out a simple job application. What a shame!!
