H.E Atiku Abubakar has this evening cancelled his 68th birthday celebration dinner, in reaction to ‪#‎KanoBombBlast‬.

Atiku stated that he could not in good conscience continue with the celebration when the national mood is that of mourning.

According to Atiku, "There will be many more years to celebrate birthdays, but tonight is a very sad and sober one for Nigeria. It's best we just pray at home. I would appeal to all who are able, to send donations in cash and kind to the victims of the bomb blast and Internally Displaced Persons in the North East."

After Christian and Muslim prayers were said for the victims of the bomb blast and terror attacks, Atiku left the venue. The event become a prayer session for victims of terror and safety of the country at large.

FERGUSON, Mo. (KABC) --Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson resigned from the department on Saturday, just five days after a grand jury decided not to indict him in the shooting death of Michael Brown.

Wilson's attorney announced his resignation. ABC News obtained Wilson's resignation letter:

"I Darren Wilson, hereby resign my commission as a police officer with the City of Ferguson effective immediately. I have been told that my continued employment may put the residents and the police officers of the City of Ferguson at risk, which is a circumstance that I cannot allow. For obvious reasons, I wanted to wait until the grand jury made their decision before I officially made my decision to resign. It was my hope to continue in police work, but the safety of other police officers and the community are of paramount importance to me. It is my hope that my resignation will allow the community to heal. I would like to thank all of my supporters and fellow officers throughout this process.
Darren Wilson"

Wilson had been on administrative leave since the Aug. 9 shooting.

Twitter is an online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets". It is in real time as compared to Facebook, you have less people inboxing you if you are not following them. I only follow my clients, sponsors and media partners. I strictly WORK on twitter and my accounts are all heavily monetized. One reason I have not been able to follow many Nigerians is due to my boycott of the anti-gay law.

Many Nigerians are homophobic and do not realize that HATE is a serious problem in the world. I grew up 37 years in US/UK/Canada and lived among gays who I view simply as the same as us. I refuse ti follow anyone due to hate. I will NOT follow HATE! It is hate that has caused the problem of Boko Haram and vigilante justice in Nigeria. I charge $40-$200 a tweet whereby a $40 tweet is coming from an advert and a $100-200 dollar tweet is tweeting a live award show or reality show on TV.

President Obama on request for peace in Ferguson: "Michael Brown’s parents have lost more than anyone. We should be honoring their wishes."

Outrage over the grand jury's decision escalated from coast to coast, with protests in about 170 cities nationwide.
From New York to Los Angeles and dozens and dozens of cities in between, protesters flooded the streets to denounce the grand jury's decision. Some demonstrations blocked bridges, tunnels and major highways. But unlike the violence that erupted in Ferguson on Monday night, the protests across the country Tuesday night were largely peaceful.

"They have given us no justice! We will give them no peace," protesters chanted as they massed in front of the Underground Atlanta shopping district in Atlanta.

In the New York area, they briefly blocked one of the entrances to the Lincoln Tunnel.

"We are on the side of Michael Brown to fight for what is right," the Rev. Al Sharpton said in front of Brown's family, earlier Tuesday. ".... "We may have lost round one, but the fight is not over."

The vast majority of protests in the weeks after Brown's death have been peaceful. And authorities hope to keep it that way.

"All agree that the violence we saw in the areas of Ferguson (Monday) night cannot be repeated," Nixon said.
