Barack Obama FINALLY visits the #Louisiana floods #HNNGov

Almost 11 years to the day of Hurricane Katrina, President Obama showed up in Louisiana 4 days after Donald Trump visited the flood ravaged families. Many people were upset that the President was chilling on his Martha Vineyard vacation while they were suffering.

“If the president can interrupt his vacation for a swanky fund-raiser for fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton, as he did on Monday, then surely he can make time to show up for a catastrophe that’s displaced thousands,” The Advocate, a local newspaper, wrote in an editorial last week.

Mr. Obama received a briefing from federal officials, state and local politicians, and emergency workers in the area. He also toured one of the area’s devastated communities and meet with people whose homes have been lost to the fast-rising waters.
