Al B. Sure! celebrated his 40th Birthday at CineSpace in Hollywood, CA on June 4, 2008 with a host of friends and family. "On behalf of Al B. Sure! We appreciate each person who attended or attempted to attend the party" says the Publicists. ABS! had a wonderful time. There was one huge celebrity list out there. Remember I interviewed L'il B (right) about his reality show on MTV called "Rock the Cradle" It was also Quincy's (left....Kim Porter's son) birthday too and he turned 17."Jersey Mike's Subs" from Burbank, CA provided sub sandwiches to the media in the media room, Moet (Delisia and Evan) who provided the special 'Albert James' crystal studded bottles for the evening and Moet minis to our red carpet guests, 92.3 for everything and all of their staff who pitched in to make things happen (Robert Lyles is the man!), and to Famous Cupcakes.com in North Hollywood for their amazing cupcake display for Al B. Sure! ABS! raved about the cupcakes all evening (as the rest of the crowd).
Celebrity Photographer Arnold Turner snapped special portrait images of the celebrities in the private red velvet room, while many media outlets snapped away at the black backdrop inside on the 2nd floor in the media room. Things were pretty packed very early, and kudos to those who followed the 'strongly suggest' arrival time of 8:30pm. Throughout the party, many decided to enjoy the DJ party room or go directly in the live performance room and toast with the birthday boy! The video presentation on the club screens ran all night and was provided by the most fabulous CJ (Cartier) of AfterParty247.com
The night was hosted by Tommy Davidson who was amazing! Co-hosted by Eric Benet, various singers took the stage including Ali Woodson of the Temptations, Keith Robison from the movie 'Dream Girls,' Jon B, Chikezie (American Idol) a lot of others including his son Lil B. Sure! who sung Happy Birthday to his father. Al B. Sure! Jon B, Keith Robinson, Eric Benet and company sung Secret Garden, Night and Day as well as free styled to the biggest crowd R&B Live Hollywood has EVER seen. History was made and if you missed it all I have to say is maybe you can catch it on AfterParty247, The Mike Sherman Show, The Weekend Gamer, Black Hollywood News or the host of other shows who were in the media room and post their video footage online. Thanks to Neeta Wooten and Tamiko Thomas of Ideal PR who told me weeks ago about the event coming. Sounds like it was all FUN!!
