TORONTO'S LATEST CLUB BRAWL: ALL THE DETAILS OF THE CLUB FIGHT THAT ENDED UP WITH L'IL SCRAPPY FLEEING AND POINT BLANK NOT PAID.

I left the TIMA awards last Thursday night to go party with L'il Scrappy and Canadian Rappers Point Blank and the gig turned into chaos of sorts as the whole affair centered on the beautiful blonde ladies Ginger and Barbie that promoted the event allegedly failing to pay the awesome Canadian act with an album coming August 19th and an appearance on MuchMusic's MOD. While most are still talking about the gunshots that rang out in an Atlanta, Georgia USA club party that Jermaine Dupri threw, our own drama unfolded with Rapper L'il Scrappy caught in the middle!

NEITHER SCRAPPY NOR POINT BLANK PERFORMED THAT NIGHT!!! Scrappy who I was talking to all night at one point told me he was literally "terrified" as he had NO SECURITY AND WAS BY HIMSELF. He promptly left as he told me goodbye above. Scrappy said to me.........

"I can't take photos, sign autographs or nothing. I am just looking around me right now at everyone around me. I have no security and by myself."

Now don't get me wrong. That was when the fight broke out. Scrappy had been hanging with some fans during the night. Barbie and Ginger on the right on the other side of the above flyer when you click events on Tiltrock's website and some male promoters and artist entourage got into a scuffle and a fight broke out with Toronto police outside totally unaware what was going on inside. I lost a shoe and had rum poured all over my evening gown and even had someone's green chewing gum stuck to my long wig!

Scrappy said goodbye to me and there went some clubgoers $50 VIP tickets for the night! I actually went to visit my baby Scrappy (who's like a son to me) over there at the club to get autographs for my younger boys who like to carry all their mom's celeb photos to school. I have not seen him in 5 years.

His mom Dee was a great friend when I lived there in ATL and I remember when I was on the phone with her one day when we suddenly heard that Scrappy and 50 who were in Hot 97FM in NYC fled when a fight broke out and shots rang out in front of the station. There we are above at the TuPac nomination Oscar party in 2004. That family is a sweet threesome. Scrappy, his sister and mom. They are NOT trouble makers! So what went wrong here?

Poor Scrappy and the fights always breaking out around him. Just 2 weeks ago he was stabbed by some jerk after trying to protect his sister! On July 18, 2008, Scrappy was stabbed and arrested in DeKalb County, Georgia on charges of felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of a firearm/knife, battery and obstruction of officers. He reportedly received a call from his sister who said she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend. This is when authorities said Scrappy went to his sister's apartment, and became involved in an altercation with his sister's boyfriend, and ended up getting stabbed. Scrappy was listed in stable condition Saturday (July 19). We never even thought he would make the trip and down went the trip some ladies at the club complained to me demanding a refund!

Everyone is telling their side to HIPHOSSIP. I received this email below from an anonymous source who says it is the e-mail from one of the "alleged promoters" specifically the one named "Ginger" wrote another person. If this is Ginger's actual e-mail, I shall reply the address and ask her for her statement. Many club goers stated to me that she was allegedly DRUNK that night and she herself told me she threw a glass when she was being choked and some ladies actually fed from the club at that time thinking it was a gunshot!

"i dont kno u u dont kno me but really and truly u font kno the story of really happened. u made us the promoters look bad when in reality it was all point blanks ghettoness that caused the alleged " mishap" i wasnt paying point blank for their performance i was paying their supposed street team for promotion point blanks marketing manager talked me out of hiring a real promotional team that promised us 450 ppl when they heard about the show point blanks ppl hollered at me to be on the show, i never contacted them i didnt even kno who they were and scrappy was not there for no awards he was there because me and my girl paided him to be there was we wanted to have a party that was r first party ever we wanted to try something new

the reason scrappy never performed was because one of point blanks ppl spit in my partners face and another one choked and pushed me up against the wall i was the one who said hes not performing after be dis respected like that point blank is tring to blame us when in actuality it is all their marketing managers fault he is just tring to blame it on me so he dosent have to take the blame if u want 2 talk to me u can call me @ 416 ------- i kno they are probably ur ppl but its not fair to attack us when ur only getting one side of the story i kno i cant turn back time bu tif i could i would have never done this party" me and my partner lost over 13 grand y would i pay point blank for something they never came thu"

This e-mail is completely UNEDITED! However I think Ginger has a right to speak her side of the story. This e-mail was sent on August 2nd 2008 to whomever it was meant for.

UPDATE 8/5/08: Ginger called me at 2.02pm today and asked me NOT to record her interview which I honored. She explained to me that she did not know who POINT BLANK was before this event and had to Google them up. She also said she was NOT a promoter but told me nothing about her being a "stripper" as everyone described her as being. That's not relevant as this is the entertainment biz. She specifically made it clear that this was her Party! She claimed she was choked by someone on stage. Lennox the club owner wasn't gonna let Scrappy in the club with the bandanna around his neck at first because of the dress code even if you're the star. Toronto clubs don't play here! She claimed she paid a member of PB's management an amount of money to hire a street team to give out the flyers and she promised 10 VIP spots and a bottle plus 10 minutes of performance to PB's people.

She stated that person did not did not communicate that correctly to the PB entourage. She said at one point, she and Barbie were handing out flyers themselves till 4am at clubs downtown just to get the word out about their party. She attempted to speak to two members of POINT BLANK but they brushed her off at a party this weekend at Circa nite club another popular spot where Kardi, Estelle, Rick Ross, Luda, Ne-Yo and others were partying nonstop this past Caribana weekend. She stated to me that she did not sign a contract with POINT BLANK and info was miscommunicated to them that they were going to be paid. I advised her that next time they bring an artist from the US or doing a gig, everything MUST be in writing. We all make mistakes. I do understand from many e-mailers that Barbie and Ginger are allegedly strippers that work at the Brass Rail Strip Club.

The drama was intense, Scrappy enjoyed Toronto and went to Footlocker and other downtown shops with Ginger and did pictures with fans all over at least to make his trip worthwhile. Asked why he had no security, Ginger told me that his security were detained at the border, something that is becoming more popular with hip-hop types coming into Canada. Immigration Canada does not play with criminal records and gangster lyrics.....but I am not saying that was the reason. IC always tells you that because you are at their border doesn't mean that you're coming in! Every case is different! Afterall, Jay-Z, NAS , AKON and 50 frequent this place like crazy!!!

Need some trivia today? Scrappy was discovered by producer and performer Lil' Jon while performing at a bar, when a fight broke out during his set in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Along with labelmates Trillville, Lil Scrappy was one of the first signings to Lil Jon's BME Recordings.
