Brush up on your Bus Stop and Itch and Scratch, because the Soul Train Awards are slated to return to the airwaves on Nov. 29. The ceremony, created by the legendary Don Cornelius (pictured) to honor the best in R&B music, has been absent from television since 2007; the 2009 awards will be broadcast on Centric, a new channel jointly owned by BET and MTV. Among the honorees at the awards are Island Def Jam CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid, his longtime creative partner, performer/producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, and '70s hitmakers Chaka Khan and Charlie Wilson of the Gap Band. Taraji P. Henson, currently seen in theaters in "I Can Do Bad All by Myself," and Terrence Howard, will host.
