Just when I thought the Williams sisters were not having fun in Nigeria per Serena's 10/30/12 tweets, as they arrived separately yesterday 10/30/12. Must have been the view from the Limo. The gals are now in Ikoyi at the Ikoyi club where we had a news conference and they will be teaching kids tennis. Oh the beaches, the private resorts and all the food. Check out Serena's tweet. KURUPT THANKS FANS FOR THE CONDOLENCE MESSAGES ON NATINA'S DEATH.

As most of u already know that the music world lost Natina Reed of Blaque over the weekend. She had a 10 y/o son with rapper Kurupt named Tren (above). He has come out to thank everyone. I hear the driver of the car will not be charged and that Natina was in the middle of the street and cops wanna know why she was there, impaired or what? It can never bring her back.

MTV writes, that though they never married, Tha Dogg Pound rapper and Reed were engaged in the early 2000s and have a 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, together. Reed, who was crossing a street when she was struck, died two days shy of her 33rd birthday. On Sunday evening (October 28), Kurupt (born Ricardo Emmanuel Brown) expressed his profound loss and extended his gratitude for the outpouring of well-wishes in a statement to MTV News.

"Myself and Tren, Natina's son, would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this tragic time," he said. "This is a tremendous loss to our family. Natina was a great person and I wish everyone had the opportunity to meet her and know her as I did." More on MTV

It is 8.15am in Nigeria and I just woke up after a very joyous celebratory Eid. I went to bed late and as you know here in Nigeria, music is allowed to blast loud outdoors as that is not even a police issue out here. We even jammed Chris Jackson's songs all nite while the neighbors was equally blasting Justin Bieber and his African equivalent Wizkid as theirs was a teenage Eid party.

However, nothing would prepare me for what I saw this morning on my Facebook feed. Kay Jeezy rushed to my room with his laptop screaming "Mom, Mom" look at Cindy's status. OMG! Cindy Jackson's mom has been critically ill for a while now and is said to be on life support. I cannot go thru details but heart related problems that come with age is part of it. We have been praying for weeks and as you know Chris is one of my PR campaign clients.

Everything is on a standstill now regarding music and baby Ciara is only over a month old. Please! Please! Pray on this for me. There is nothing GOD cannot change! My brother was hit by a drunk driver at 17 in 1999 and there was that time when the doctors called us to come say goodbye. He smiled as the last tube was removed and continues to smile at us in heaven.  

Cindy Jackson and CHRIS JACKSON my heart is really heavy. I don't know what to say. after my baby brother, we all had to go say goodbye by his bedside. WHY? What is GOD saying? Why is he doing this. I am angered again just like in 1999. Pls stay strong. Stay strong for Ciara, even for me. I am in TEARS!!

Everybody gets a hug from Drake but it's him that gets that HUG today from all the fans in Nigeria. HAPPY 26th Birthday to Drake today who is one of the few artists I still much relate to in that Toronto I lived for the past 5 years. Always connecting with his fans and being available for all the community events especially with regards to the kids. Last I saw him was at that OVO festival for the people of his hometown Toronto.

Drake has that line "All I care is bout my money and the city I'm from" which is why u hear me using that line all the time referring to my hometown Ibadan and my wallet. Although he loves his fans dearly, Drake's family comes first as I have seen during my 5 years in Canada from when I met him to when he really blew up. 

Uncle Steve, Drake's mom's brother is missed

I was lucky to meet his uncle Steve, a maternal uncle and brother to his mom Sandy Graham whom I spent time with after the 2010 Juno awards. Sadly I heard that Uncle Steve died and it was not reported in the media as Steve passing away but as Drake's beloved uncle who influenced his life and career. It saddened me so much when you watch the advice he gave KJ in getting into a rap career. Steve's voice echoes thru KJ's ears daily now. You know Sandy Graham raised Drake as a single mother and did very well with him. Sandy Graham was a teacher at the prestigious Forest Hill Collegiate in a predominantly Jewish side of town in Toronto. I once worked there as a Pharmacist at the Loblaws Grocery chain  and met several Jewish families. Many great people and their culture over there. Loved their food! However Drake dropped out from high school to pursue an acting career on TV show Degrassi and later ended up a musician. Last week he graduated after successfully completing the missing credits. 

Uncle Steve and Sandy did not come accidentally into our lives. After the 2010 Juno award ceremonies were over, KJ and I decided to get some food at our hotel, the Delta Chelsea where many of the stars and music execs were staying, when he went to the bathroom or washroom as the Canadians call it, he took forever. However it was not a number 2 issue, he met a woman, chatted her up and convinced her to come eat with us at our table. I asked the lady if I could videotape this stuff as it unfolded and she said yes. In the video, KJ bought DRAKE'S MOM to me. Talk about your son bringing the right girl home to mom. U have to see this video. 

From there onwards, Drake became a friend to HipHossip, taking pics with us, autographs and so much more. We even got to meet his family at Young Money and KJ practiced with Nicki Minaj's dancers in Toronto before her Summer 2011 concert where Drake has a cameo. Drake also did a drop for KJ's blog The KidReporter.com (new site coming soon)

Earlier in the year, he hosted a fundraiser for his pal Rapper P.Reign who is equally a caring person about the community and raising money for the Boys and Girls Club of Scarborough area of Toronto. Sadly one of the kids that attended that event, Shyanne Charles, a 14 y/o (in red) was killed at the infamous Toronto mass shooting on July 16th 2012 at Danzig street. Beyoncé and Jay Z have lost their legal bid to trademark their baby daughter Blue Ivy’s according to the Boston Herald. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office turning down their petition to retain “Blue Ivy” for their own business ventures" I wonder why? According to reports, a wedding planning company called Blue Ivy Events will get to retain its good name, at least, in the esteemed eyes of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. So if Beyonce and Jay-Z wanted to launch a similar venture, they couldn't use their daughter's name to do it.

However, experts say, the development does not stop the Carters from moving forward in their push to trademark Blue Ivy in all the other areas they've earmarked. Like, you know, electric hair curlers and non-medicated hair care preparations. If they want. (Beyoncé's rep didn't immediately return a request for comment.)

So to be clear: The decision simply states they can't use the name for a wedding planning business. But experts say they can still trademark it for other things.

"No judge ruled that Beyonce and Jay-Z do not have a legal right to protect the name," explains Greenberg Glusker attorney Aaron Ross. "A trademark examiner determined that a Boston company, which began using the name Blue Ivy first, is entitled to register the mark in the field of event planning."

Hollywood families are changing so much and even the terms used by all the wives, baby mamas and kids. Remember my old pal Jada Pinkett Smith, I was just stalking a few Twitter profiles this morning when I saw a tweet where she described Trey, Will Smith's oldest child as her "BONUS SON." LOL...As you all know, Jaden and Willow are hers and Trey is from Will's earlier failed marriage.

But these days, we all have "STEP" siblings, but I guess Jada wanted her another boy and settled for a "Bonus" which makes Trey the Bonus kid!

I met the lovely Jada in Baltimore back in the 90's after being introduced to her by mom who was the head nurse at Constant Care, a medical center where I worked as a Pharmacy Manager. I practiced Pharmacy for almost 25 years before becoming a Journalist of 16 years.

SINGER ADELE DELIVERS A BABY BOY!

British soul sensation Adele has given birth to a baby boy, according to U.K. reports.

The Rolling in the Deep hitmaker and her boyfriend, Simon Konecki, welcomed a son on Friday night, reports the Daily Mail.

A source tells the newspaper, "Adele and Simon are ecstatic at their new arrival. She was over the moon that they were expecting their first child together."

A spokesperson for the singer has refused to confirm or deny the claims, insisting, "We are not releasing a statement at this time. No comment."

Adele, 24, began dating charity boss Konecki, 38, late last year and she announced she was pregnant in a post on her website in June.

Konecki is also dad to a five-year-old daughter with his ex-wife Clary Fisher.
