BEYONCE AND JAY-Z'S PUMPKIN BLUE IVY IS ONE!

January 7th 2013
Happy Birthday, Blue Ivy!
HuffPost writes 2012's most-buzzed-about baby turns 1 year old today, and what a year it's been. Between Beyonce's Twitter record-breaking pregnancy announcement at the 2011 VMAs to those lurid prosthetic baby bump rumors, a motion to copyright the name "Blue Ivy" and instantly awwwed-after accessories (tiny gold Marc Jacobs flats y'all!), hip-hop's royal child has already made quite a splash in her first year of living.
Only one thing they were missing. Those phone calls Beyonce made to HipHossip to take down Ciara's pics as the baby face of HipHossip. lol. Oh... Blue Ivy has been grumbling as Ciara became our hard working baby. Ciara ain't having it!!! So, Blue Ivy got a single with daddy Jay-Z and Ciara is in the studio too.
Happy Birthday Blue Ivy! HipHossip loves ya--MsK

BEYONCE AND JAY-Z CANNOT TRADEMARK BLUE IVY AND LOST IN COPYRIGHT COURT.

BeyoncĂ© and Jay Z have lost their legal bid to trademark their baby daughter Blue Ivy’s according to the Boston Herald. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office turning down their petition to retain “Blue Ivy” for their own business ventures" I wonder why? According to reports, a wedding planning company called Blue Ivy Events will get to retain its good name, at least, in the esteemed eyes of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. So if Beyonce and Jay-Z wanted to launch a similar venture, they couldn't use their daughter's name to do it.

However, experts say, the development does not stop the Carters from moving forward in their push to trademark Blue Ivy in all the other areas they've earmarked. Like, you know, electric hair curlers and non-medicated hair care preparations. If they want. (Beyoncé's rep didn't immediately return a request for comment.)

So to be clear: The decision simply states they can't use the name for a wedding planning business. But experts say they can still trademark it for other things.

"No judge ruled that Beyonce and Jay-Z do not have a legal right to protect the name," explains Greenberg Glusker attorney Aaron Ross. "A trademark examiner determined that a Boston company, which began using the name Blue Ivy first, is entitled to register the mark in the field of event planning."

BEYONCE AND JAY-Z INTRODUCES US TO BABY IVY BLUE.

Beyonce and Jay-Z released their baby's pictures today on Tumblr and thanked all of us for respecting their privacy during this time. I know she was preggo and even saw that last week photo. Remember how the Papparazzi rushed her and Julius was trying to stop them? Remember what she said? "It's OK Julius. Let them take pics." Knowing the Beyonce I interviewed in 2004, she is VERY PRIVATE and Jay-Z respects that. Also HipHossip and E! were the first to list her name as BLUE IVY, NOT Ivy Blue.

Along with the pics of the beautiful family, they left a note which read "We welcome you to share in our joy, thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives. - The Carter Family."
