Imagine Kim Kardashian could be the FIRST LADY of the United States. lolz. Gives a new meaning to the WEST WING.
Kanye West, no stranger to headline-grabbing antics at MTV's annual Video Music Awards (VMAs), has upped the ante. And Twitter loves it.
Using his acceptance speech on Sunday for a Video Vanguard Award, the rapper-cum-designer announced plans to run for the 2020 U.S. Presidential election. This was just minutes after he admitted to getting high before coming on stage.
Social media had a field day immediately following the revelation, with Twitter users poking fun at everything from West's famously rambling award acceptance speeches to the idea of reality TV star Kim Kardashian as First Lady.
It even provoked a reaction from one of 2016's most controversial candidates, Republican Donald Trump who's already thinking about a win and two terms cos 2020 belongs to him too. lolz.

#VMAS Kanye West announces his Presidential bid for 2020 and Donald Trump ain't happy.
WORST #VMAS moment: Did Justin Bieber breakdown after the show?

"What Do You Mean" may be a serious earworm, and Justin Bieber may have given a seriously good performance of it at the VMAs, but his head-scratching (and tearful?) pouting after his performance felt strange and uncomfortable. You root for Justin's sanity. This didn't seem like a step in the right direction.

BEST #VMAs Moment: Ru Paul's drag queens had their moment with Miley.

You have probably never heard of Laganja Estranja, but the talented season six contestant of "RuPaul's Drag Race" has spent the last year and a half trying to repair her reputation for simply trying too hard on a TV reality show -- imagine that. Cyrus, who is a big fan of the program, not only had some of the biggest stars of the series back her up for the show's finale, but she gave Estranja a chance to deliver her patented "death drop" to the world. On a gigantic stage, Cyrus allowed a tiny comeback moment.

BEST #VMAS moments: Check out the look on Nicki Minaj's face at Taylor Swift.

Nicki Minaj opened the ceremony with a bombastic performance of "Trini Dem Girls"/"The Night is Still Young." The Julie Taymor-type spectacle was rousing enough, but then Taylor Swift jumped up out of nowhere for a few bars of "Bad Blood." I guess they're besties now? Fine. All the beefs are over we can assume.

BEST: NICKI MINAJ'S SHADY VMA SPEECH
Nicki Minaj picked up the Best Hip-Hop Video trophy for "Anaconda," and in her speech she seemed to be mocking other pop divas (namely Taylor Swift, if I was reading her right) with high-pitched delivery. She thanked her fans for being "epic," which seemed pretty mocking too. Whatever it was, it was heaven. And she even got in a snarl at host Miley Cyrus, who took it in stride. This is too funny! At least she won after all the bitching when the nominations were announced.
