GOOD RAPPERS IN TORONTO: SPOTLIGHT ON HARVEY STRIPES.

Harvey Stripes travelled across Canada for the "Hustlerz Ambition" tour along with Young Jeezy this past spring 2012. He is one of the few Canadian Rappers I even reckon with. He is a Toronto based rapper whose humility resonates in his music. Most recently he was nominated for a MuchMusic Video award and went on tour around Canada with Young Jeezy. The video above is an excerpt of that tour.

I also caught up with Harvey at the P.Reign "Spike for Life" event where Drake hosted a ton of kids and helped them raise money for a new recording studio at the Boys and Girls club of Galloway. 

Harvey also chatted with me at the 2011 Stylus awards where we spoke about ongoing things in his career and what's next. Montreal hip hop artist NYCE is one busy rapper in 2012 having already released two singles 'Dopest on The Scene' and 'Best Price' to great acclaim along with touring across Canada with American rapper Freeway and opening for Raekwon (Wu Tang Clan) back in March in his hometown of MTL. After landing himself on the April cover of Vandala Mag, NYCE is now letting loose his latest music video in support of his next single 24/7 ft. Tony "Touch Down" Davis & T. Money from his upcoming debut album "Certified"set for release later this year on local label Hustle Cartel Ent.
