THE HIP-HOP CHRONICLE FEATURED ON MTV ON THE KANYE WEST SCREENING

If there's one undeniable truth about Kanye West, it's that he never goes for the lay-up; he only knows how to shoot three-pointers with Kobe Bryant in his face. On Wednesday night (October 6), West showed his 35-minute film "Runaway" at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts screening room in London. He told the audience that his work was inspired by nothing less than Michael Jackson's "Thriller," which is widely considered to be one of the greatest music videos of all time.

The English blog Hip Hop Chronicle divulged that the opening scene features images of West running as Nicki Minaj provides a voiceover in a British accent. And while Hip Hop Chronicle reported that Hype Williams wrote the script, according to the BBC, it was written by West along with art director Vanessa Beecroft and producer Jonathan Lia.

Great night, great vibes, great Hip Hop.

Sumit says.....

"Whats good guys, I want to thank all of you who watched and supported my interview with The Dream. Here's an audio interview of my interview with Keri Hilson backstage at the Ne-Yo concert in London. I wanted to do a video interview but wires got crossed with the label, so I had to make do with an audio interview."

Got a video interview with Jeremih coming on the way with a exclusive freestyle for the UK.

OUR SISTER SITE THE HIP-HOP CHRONICLE INTERVIEWS ELLIOTT WILSON.

In the first part of the interview, Elliott tells Sumit of The Hiphop Chronicle U.K how he got into Hip Hop Journalism, what he hopes to achieve with his new site Rap Radar, what keeps him motivated to come back and how he came up with the moniker 'YN'.

In the second part of the interview, Sumit spoke to Elliott about responsible journalism in light of the DJ Vlad/Joe Budden/Ransom situation.

The conversation slowly moved onto Kanye and his comment about Rihanna being the best thing to happen to Beyonce.

And finally, Elliott gives upcoming journalists/bloggers some advice.

BTW, I have to thank Elliott as he says he loves HipHossip and even sent us a drop. To be posted.

HAVE YOU VOTED FOR MY SISTER SITE THE HIP-HOP CHRONICLE??

My SISTER site has been nominated for 'The Come Up' Award at this year's Online Hip Hop Awards, sponsored by SOHH.com As I understand, its the first time a UK Hip Hop site has made it to the finals, which also means if I win, I will be the first UK site to ever win a Online Hip Hop Award. We are truly honoured and humbled by the nominatation but to win, WE need your help.

There aren't many outlets that have interviewed Russell Simmons, Ice Cube, Nas (twice), Ludacris, Jadakiss, Green Lantern, Estelle, Semtex, Flo-Rida, Dizzee Rascal under 6 months. There aren't many sites out there that have been accredited with press passes to Def Comedy Jam, MOBO's, VH1 Hip Hop Honours, BET Hip Hop Awards, MTV Concert for Vets, the O2 Wireless Festival and be the first UK site to partner with BET.com and be an online partner with MTV.com.

Its now well documented that he started with no contacts and only been in operation for 6 months. I had many doors shut in my face and even racism directed my way because he has Indian heritage (its common knowledge he's British Asian). Apparently there are statements floating around the internet by a fellow finalist with racial undertones - for him that's not in the spirit of Hip Hop. But lets keep it moving ... If you can spare some time to vote, it would be great.

"Yea thats right everyone! 50 Cent has revealed his thoughts on the question we put to Ice Cube (about future legends). Well now in a new video from Thisis50. com, 50 Cent said he saw the interview and was humbled by the comments.
