A good friend of mine Christopher Martin, a.k.a. Play of Kid-N-Play and the House Party franchise, was seriously injured in a car crash this Saturday. His car was hit by a fatally wounded driver who was fleeing the police. The fugitive was shot by officers following a home invasion with two other suspects. He is said to be in stable condition. I called him and left a get well message for him. I look at that business card daily and pray for him. Chris owns his own production company, Carolina Pinnacle Studios and produces movies.

Ronald Johnson, Executive VP of Capitol music dead at 49!

VP of Capitol music, Ronnie Johnson, who has worked with Chingy, J. Holiday and Fat Joe, to name a few died of a heart attack after returning from Spain to celebrate his 16th wedding anniversary, will not be forgotten. "He's going to be missed," Darrale Jones, vice president of A&R at Atlantic Records told the Journal News. "I'm still in shock. Jones said he had known Johnson for about four years and described him as an "incredible personality" who had worked with some of today's top-selling artists.

This is the happiest news of my day. Need I say more? This young man shut down his site during the period of mourning of his mom's death. I am so glad he is back. The announcement was made on the site and then the condolences poured in then they were all wiped out the very same day! I'm sure you won't be able to take it if it were your mama! Remember this picture I said his late mom Donda actually took at an event I covered? It's my avatar over there. Kanye has always been nice to me. This arrogant stuff I hear is a mirage! MC Hammer to debut new money making dance website mid January.

MC Hammer has not topped the music charts since the early 1990s, but the former rap star says he has another hit in him — only this time around he will produce it as a Silicon Valley entrepreneur. Hammer, whose real name is Stanley Burrell, is choreographing a new career as co-founder and chief strategy officer of Menlo Park-based DanceJam.com.
