YOUNG JEEZY CONCERT FALLS VICTIM TO SWINE FLU.

A concert headlined by rapper YOUNG JEEZY at the University of Delaware has been scrapped by school officials after an outbreak of swine flu in the state. Jeezy and rap newcomer Drake were due to play a show at the Bob Carpenter Center on Thursday night (30Apr09), but the gig was called off on Wednesday (29Apr09) following the suspected discovery of 10 cases of the avian illness among students, reports AllHipHop.com.

University of Delaware President Patrick T. Harker says, "While the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have not yet confirmed any swine flu diagnoses, I have no doubt that these suspected cases are causing a great deal of concern among the entire campus community. "The University's first priority is the health and well-being of our students and employees. Therefore, we are working closely with the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) to safeguard student, staff, and faculty health. The first death from the swine flu epidemic currently gripping America was confirmed on Monday (27Apr09) - a Mexican infant who passed away in Texas.
