#HNNTech Why I wanna SLAP Nigerian Cartoonist @Ugo_Jesse SILLY!

Kemi and Jide Kosoko apology

 Drake and JLo

Kemi and Flavour

Ugo Jesse is the Nigerian cartoonist many celebrities want to slap silly. He is more talented as a comedian in my own case cos he cannot cartoon me properly. Nigerian cartoonists cannot draw me easily. He makes me look like one wrinkled old lady. He needs to take a picture of me and mix some computer software with it. Other than that, he takes stories in the news and what celebrities say and do and quickly cartoons it up. Some very funny, others plain annoying!

I had to get my Igbo pals translate what singer Flavour was saying to me there when I asked to bang him in my crib in a publicity stunt. The latest one is when I called my father a moron for apologizing to a movie star on what I wrote about him on social media. He was trying to get me to tell the kid I am the daughter of a moron. unfortunately in Nigeria goats don't always give birth to goats.

The Drake and J-Lo one was genius but Drake never even dated Taylor Swift so that boxed present is wrong there. That should have been Keisha Chante, his high school sweetheart he sang the song "Best I ever Had" for. Keisha is a friend of mine and former BET 106 and Park host.

 NO NO!

YES! YES!

Ugo pls use my profile picture on Facebook, Twitter and IG this 2017 with my new wig and signature glasses as my new signature look. I'm fed up of your head wraps if you don't wanna see your head twisted by me. lol.

Why I thanked Linda Ikeji Social on my e-mail scammed #HNNTech

Earlier today, my e-mail address was hijacked and used by someone at Linda Ikeji Social website. I was livid and sent out a cyberwarfare warning if not removed in 48 hrs. I noticed it at 6.15am and by 10.20am it was fixed. The social platform of the blogger has too many bugs and if we don't complain, they won't improve.

"Thank u @officiallindaikeji Social for deleting the FAKE account created with my business email off ur server. We MUST learn from HUGE mistakes! Pls find a fool proof way to avoid this senseless act of internet trolls who create impersonation all over social media. An email is a powerful tool. It can be used to open 30 social platforms or more. If it is not confirmed people will start operating in my name. Its that activation email I didnt receive. I opened my account with my personal email for that reason when your server said "that email has been registered" which shocked me! I will continue exploring it and point out any flaws. Consider verifying authentic accounts or your 50,000 followers accounts. People's financial info are on your server. I was LIVID! Once again thanks for the prompt action and good luck with LIS."

The REASON why I have no real life friends but ONLY Facebook friends>>Longer Life #HNNTech

My Facebook profile page has 5000 friends and 4500 followers and my verified fanpage has 77,000. I keep it like that. I have no friends in real life. I don't like privacy or trust. Never share secrets with me. I will prolly post it on Facebook.

Scientists who studied Facebook activity and mortality rates of registered California voters found that people who received many friend requests were far less likely to die over a two-year period than those who did not. Initiating friend requests, however, seemed to have no effect on death rates whatsoever.

The findings, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, hint at deeper complexities in the relationship between humans’ health and their social networks — whether those networks are online, or in person.

#HNNTech BlackBerry to END all internal hardware development (No more designing)

Image result for blackberry

Pretty sad to see his Canadian made phone brand almost going obsolete. My friend's BB will not even boot up this morning and I discouraged her from repairing it. Not cost effective. She also have an I-phone anyway. Most Nigerians seem to carry two phones. BB is now bailing out on designing heir own phones. Read below.

BlackBerry says it plans to end all internal hardware development — signalling a strategic shift for a company that built its reputation on innovative smartphone technology created at its base in Waterloo, Ont.

The hardware development work will be outsourced to BlackBerry's partners.

The move was announced by BlackBerry chairman and CEO John Chen as the company issued its latest financial report this morning.

He says that ending internal hardware development will reduce BlackBerry's capital requirements and enhance return on invested capital.

BlackBerry says it had a US$372 million net loss in the three months ended Aug. 31, equivalent to 71 cents per share, but broke even after excluding certain items.

Revenue, which is reported in U.S. dollars, was $334 million or $352 million after adjustments that was below analyst estimates of $391.75 million.

FIVE ways to keep your account well sought and GET VERIFIED on #Twitter #HNNTech

Everyone is on Twitter! Nigerians are leaving Facebook for Twitter but Facebook still has its own unique users. I am one of those unique users. I have a very engaging verified page.I also have a verified Twitter page but the competition is still fierce.

Today many young people should get productive with their Twitter accounts and not just waste 10 hours daily tweeting for fun. Below are 5 vital things to do to get your account moving this year. Clean your account, build a brand and get verified making you more money on your Twitter ads:

1. Go through your favourites now called “Likes” and delete any unnecessary tweets you liked. You can also save them as screenshots and open a folder on your device named screenshots. Keep your account as light as possible. I have 12,000 likes decreased now to 7000 likes and currently doing my screenshots now.

2. Begin monetizing your Twitter account. I taught this course online and was featured in a national daily on how to make money from your account. Get clients who want their businesses tweeted to your followers. You may want to have two accounts, one personal, one for business. You could be making from $30-$50 per tweet in the beginning. In Nigerian money, that should be a good earning.

3. Get in the habit of running an unduplicated Twitter album. Some people just come to your account for the albums. Never tweet a photo more than twice. It becomes redundant. I realize that the need may arise for business tweets to show an image twice, get creative and ask the client for different images.

4. Twitter now shows you impressions of how many people viewed your tweets including the engagement figures on who retweeted or liked. View it daily to gauge who is following your work and what tweets they are looking at.

5. Fill in your Twitter bio, birthday (which is so neat when Twitter releases balloons on your profile all day) and make your bio short and attractive. Verify your phone number, it's private. Adjust your settings if avoiding notifications. Begin to sell yourself! Those of you in Nigeria using your business accounts to attack others should stop that habit immediately. No clients will use you to advertise their products. Check mine @hnnafrica. I don't even respond to negative tweets anymore.

With these 5 tips, you can be guaranteed of putting your Twitter account in the spotlight and next thing you are well sought to be verified.

My Samsung Phone caught FIRE in 2012 and @SamsungMobile #Nigeria IGNORED me #HNNTech

Image result for samsung galaxy note 7

Now the Galaxy Note 7 is catching fire all over the place today.

There haven’t been any known cases of people being physically hurt by the phones. But the devices are being blamed for fires that destroyed a Jeep and did serious damage to a garage. Meanwhile, U.S. aviation officials are now telling fliers to avoid turning the phones on in flight.

The South Korean electronics manufacturer has yet to explain exactly what’s causing the fires. What we do know, however, is that the problem stems from their battery.

Like almost all modern smartphones and lots of other consumer electronics, the Note 7 uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Electronics companies favor these kinds of batteries because they’re cheap, they pack plenty of power, and they don’t lose a lot of their charge over time when they’re sitting idle. Yet they have also been involved in several high-profile fire incidents, including episodes that more or less ended the hoverboard craze and caused problems with Boeing’s 787 jetliner.

How do lithium-ion batteries work, and why do they seem to be prone to catching fire? We asked Dr. Donald R. Sadoway, the John F. Elliott Professor of Materials Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (and onetime TIME Most Influential Person), to explain. First, he offered a quick primer on battery chemistry,

Apple I-Phone 7 may not impress you! No headphone jack & other features killed #HNNTech

Image result for apple iphone 7

In Shara Tibken's article, this paragraph below is key. This whole "S" business when another Apple phone is launched means the "Same Old Design" really. How on earth do you get rid of the headphone jack? Music and videos can't be listened to in private anymore? Forget it. When they get to Apple I-Phone 10, pls call me.

Besides getting rid of the headphone jack, other changes in the new iPhone device might include more storage (the low-end model may start with 32GB instead of 16GB), a better camera and better water-resistance. Those features may be enough for people to upgrade from a current iPhone and for people who want the newest iPhone. But for others, who now have to buy their phones outright for about $649, or for those who are fine holding on to older models for more than the typical two years, Apple's iPhone 7 may be a tough sell.

"We believe the new features...and minor design changes are unlikely to either drive enough existing users to upgrade sooner or attract more switchers than before from Android devices," Oppenheimer analyst Andrew Uerkwitz noted.

Apple declined to comment ahead of its event.

No Surprise as Samsung RECALLS Galaxy 7 Note phones with batteries catching FIRE #HNNTech

No surprise because it happened to my Galaxy 3 in 2012 and I vowed to NEVER buy another Samsung product. Samsung Mobile Nigeria refused to replace my phone claiming it had exceeded warranty.

The South Korean electronics giant on Friday said that because of a problem with the Galaxy Note 7 battery it would halt sales of the new device around the world. It's also recalling and replacing those phones already sold.

The company's flagship device has been on sale for just two weeks. Samsung said Friday that it has sold 2.5 million of the phones worldwide to date.

The recall comes at a critical time for Samsung, as Apple prepares to unveil its latest iPhone on Sept. 7. If the battery problem persists, it could threaten the momentum Samsung has enjoyed over the last few months, fueled by the success of the Galaxy S7. With the well-received launch of the Note 7 last month and the Gear S3 smartwatch at the IFA trade show this week, Samsung was starting to get its swagger back.

"There's definitely damage done and the whole incident is detrimental to Samsung's image," said IDC analyst Tay Xiaohan. "The level of damage will depend on how Samsung addresses this issue quickly and solves the problem."

Samsung received 35 separate reports worldwide tied to what it described only as a "battery cell issue." It's working with suppliers to root out other "affected batteries" in the market. People have been posting images of their charred burnt devices on social media saying it exploded.

Mark Zuckerburg ends #African trip with a visit to the Nigerian Presidency #HNNGov

Facebook.com/Zuck
Mark ended his visit to Africa coming back to Nigeria to meet the Presidency. There was also an event going on at Aso Rock Villa called the DEMO day focusing on tech and startups.  He was with Ebele Okobi and Ime Archibong as usual and he posted:

"Last stop of my trip: I'm in Abuja to meet Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

We all met with entrepreneurs as part of Demo Day, an initiative for the Nigerian government to fund entrepreneurs with ideas for improving the country. We heard from engineers who are finding ways to reward people for recycling, designing ways to pick up trash easier, and using shuttles to improve commutes in Lagos.

This has been an inspiring trip. The energy and entrepreneurship in Nigeria and Kenya is amazing. I can't wait to come back again soon!"

Check out Mark Zuckerberg's #Kenyan Wildlife Outing #HNNEnvironment #HNNTech

Meanwhile after the bad news about Spacex, Mark Zuckerberg had some time to cruise around the wildlife areas of Kenya with Ime Archibong, Andrea Besmehn and Ebele Okobi. They were all at Lake Naivasha today checking out the giraffes, hippos and antelopes. It was real fun from the photos posted.

Zuckerberg issues statement on #SPACEX EXPLOSION, incinerates $200M Facebook satellite

Media preview

While Mark Zuckerberg is still in Africa specifically in Kenya, tragedy struck as we heard that Spacex EXPLODED today. OMG! This VIDEO on RT shows the moment when it exploded. This would have given many of us Facebook wifi that I've been waiting for. Just hope this wasn't sabotage. Earlier he had lunch with tech entrepreneurs and a government official in charge of information and communications. Zuckerberg posted on his Facebook page:

"As I'm here in Africa, I'm deeply disappointed to hear that SpaceX's launch failure destroyed our satellite that would have provided connectivity to so many entrepreneurs and everyone else across the continent.

Fortunately, we have developed other technologies like Aquila that will connect people as well. We remain committed to our mission of connecting everyone, and we will keep working until everyone has the opportunities this satellite would have provided."

Facebook FIRES Trending Team as algorithms were flawed on Megyn Kelly Trend #HNNTech

Image result for facebook fired

Now if I were in Lagos, Nigeria today, that would have been my question for Mark Zuckerberg. If you are a trending news website like #HNNAfrica you would have noticed there are no more details on trending stories on Facebook. Facebook is not a media company but it is the source of news for 44% of adults out there. What happened severely backfired and as much as 18 people were FIRED!

It’s been a rough few days for Facebook’s Trending Topics. The company announced on Friday that it’s made the news list more automated by removing article descriptions and leaning more heavily on algorithms to produce it.

The company also reportedly fired as many as 18 editorial contractors responsible for writing descriptions and ensuring the accuracy of the sources it uses. Now we’re watching the immediate — and disastrous — effects unfold. Yesterday, a more serious error occurred: a fake news story about Fox News commentator Megyn Kelly’s supposed secret affinity for Hillary Clinton blew up on Facebook, landing it on top of the Trending list. Not only did the engineers (or algorithms) responsible for Trending fail to realize the story was false — it came from a partisan libertarian source called End the Fed — but Facebook also left it in the Trending module for hours to collect likes and comments. All the while, the company unwittingly gave enormous exposure to a damaging piece of false information.

So over the course of a single weekend, Facebook’s attempts to reorient one of its most prominent news products backfired in a big way. In its efforts to rely more heavily on algorithms, the company exposed a central vulnerability in its approach to news. All it took was 72 hours, and a false news story in the heat of a polarizing US election season, to show how fallible its algorithms can be.

Mark Zuckerberg starts day 2 in #Nigeria with jogging on Lekki-Ikoyi bridge #HNNTech

Before a good breakfast, Mark Zuckerberg who is still in Nigeria, took a jog on Ikoyi-Lekki Bridge this morning. This bridge is famous for a lot of things including that Tee Billz attempted suicide saga. Today it was for jogging for the 7th richest man in the world.

I'm still watching this Zuckerberg visit. Notice how he hasn't met one single lawmaker. Not even Ambode, Governor of Lagos state. On Twitter, my followers said they don't want him meeting our "dumbass" lawmakers.

Zuckerberg posted: "Quick run this morning across the Ikoyi Bridge with entrepreneurs in the Lagos Road Warriors running club. Best way to see a city!"

Why Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg came to Nigeria FIRST #HNNTech

Facebook.com/Zuck
Considering I'm the Facebook drama queen as named by blogger/journalist Stella Dimoko-Korkus. Facebook has always been solidly my main platform since 2004 when I worked in Harvard that summer. Andrew McCollum was one of the founders and Angel investor that actually sent me the famous e-mail to join as a beta tester then I named myself the first Nigerian on Facebook.

I had 100,000 friends on MySpace and I wasn't a celebrity or musician. I just networked a lot and was one of the initial people on social media so I was a good candidate to help test Facebook. When Facebook rolled out to the public 10 years ago in 2006, my only real early friend was Glenda Day Dunlap an American lady I dragged from MySpace to join me on Facebook. Everyone has their Facebook story. lolz.

Mark has been with the Pope earlier in the week and posted on his page that his next stop was Lagos. I don't know if Priscilla is on this leg of the trip with him. Great couple. So many new innovations on Facebook today, my favourite being the safety checks when there is a natural disaster or act of terrorism.  The 3 largest markets for Facebook in Africa are Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa with their offices in Johannesburg. Maybe he'll open an office soon in Nigeria and create jobs.

I spoke with him earlier today back in Nigeria. He is currently at some tech hub in Yaba, Lagos. Those kids above better be learning some app development or be 13yo to be on Facebook. lol. Have a nice time over there Mark.  Below is his post:

"Next stop: Lagos! This is my first trip to sub-Saharan Africa. I'll be meeting with developers and entrepreneurs, and learning about the startup ecosystem in Nigeria. The energy here is amazing and I'm excited to learn as much as I can.

Our first stop is the Co-creation Hub Nigeria (CcHUB) in Yaba. I got to talk to kids at a summer coding camp and entrepreneurs who come to CcHub to build and launch their apps. I'm looking forward to meeting more people here!"

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus:Some Users of Apple Smartphone Models Reporting Touch Screen Flaws #HNNTech

The problem with unresponsive touch screens on iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models often corresponds with a flickering gray bar across the top of the screen, iFixit reported on its YouTube channel Monday. Repair experts from all over the world are reporting a widespread problem killing iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices: an unresponsive touchscreen and a gray, flickering bar at the top of the display. I'm still Android all over. Can't use the I-Phone. Too many flaws.

Should You Charge Your Phone Overnight? #HNNTech

This is the standard norm in Nigeria where there are sporadic power outages. This article addresses modern countries.Chances are, you plug in your phone before you go to bed at night, thinking it’s best to greet the morning with a fully charged device. s this a good idea?

That depends.

Here’s the thing. Many people don’t expect to keep their phones for much longer than two years.

For the most part, experts say, those people are not going to notice much damage to their phone batteries before they start hankering for a new device.

If that sounds like you, feel free to charge every night, and as often as you like in between.

But frequent charging takes a toll on the lithium-ion batteries in our phones. And it’s not because they can be overcharged, said Edo Campos, a spokesman for Anker, which produces phone chargers.

“Smartphones are, in fact, smart,” Mr. Campos said. “They know when to stop charging.”

Android phones and iPhones are equipped with chips that protect them from absorbing excess electrical current once they are fully charged.

So in theory, any damage from charging your phone overnight with an official charger, or a trustworthy off-brand charger, should be negligible.

But the act of charging is itself bad for your phone’s battery.

Here’s why.

Most phones make use of a technology that allows their batteries to accept more current faster. Hatem Zeine, the founder, chief scientist and chief technical officer of the wireless charging company Ossia, says the technology enables phones to adjust to the amount of charge that a charger is capable of supplying.

The technology allows power to pulse into the battery in specific modulations, increasing the speed at which the lithium ions in the battery travel from one side to the other and causing the battery to charge more quickly.

But this process also leads lithium-ion (and lithium-polymer) batteries to corrode faster than they otherwise would.

“When you charge fast all the time, you limit the life span of the battery,” Mr. Zeine said.
