BREAKING NEWS 7.15pm Jan 7th 2012 Toronto: Beyonce has given birth to a baby GIRL at Lennox Hill Hospital in NYC Jan 7th 2012 around the dinner hour. Her name is said to be Blue Ivy but everyone seems to be calling her "Ivy Blue." One of the GRANDPARENTS tells me it's the other way around with the Blue first. So far me and E! are the only ones reporting it as Blue Ivy. Both Mom and baby are doing fine--MsKemi

In an effort to keep images from leaking to the public, hospital workers placed tape over security cameras and forced employees to turn in cell phones when they arrived for their shifts we heard. Now since when did anyone began to rent hospital floors? Shame on Lennox Hill who needed the $ and publicity badly, I hear Jay had to rent the whole fourth floor for $1.3 million. That should have been FREE courtesy of the hospital.

Russell Simmons tweeted some congrats so did Rihanna. Baby's name is still trending as "Ivy Blue Carter." More to come. UPDATE: As WE first reported, the baby's name is BLUE!! Gwyneth Paltrow has cleared up confusion over Beyonce's new baby girl's name, confirming the tot is named Blue Ivy Carter.

According to the New York Daily News, Beyonce and husband Jay-Z had a quiet New Year’s Eve dinner at Buttermilk Channel in Brooklyn, and she was still sporting a baby bump.And sister Solange also made sure fans knew Beyonce wasn’t a December mum in a tweet, writing, “Shout out to my sister for being THE cutest pregnant woman ever!”

I am hearing from my music industry sources that Beyonce Knowles-Carter has given birth to a lovely baby girl in a New York's St Luke's Roosevelt hospital yesterday. They said she checked in yesterday morning as the staff was put on secret alert. The Carters are extremely PRIVATE and as you know it was texts from people inside the wedding that tipped me finally to the nupitals on the night of April 4th 2008 while I was at the SUV concert here in Toronto. Since we got to see bey's wedding dress 3 years later, I guess we'll see the baby too by 3-years-old. lol. Congrats to Jigga and Bey. I've always told ya there was no fake baby bump. And I want to make sure my child is protected.There are certain things that are so far [out] … it doesn’t even upset you,” Knowles said. CONGRATS AS BEYONCE IS HAVING A BABY GIRL.

We decided to name her Jeyonce and we already know one of the names is gonna be Fela. Kelly Rowland has let it slip that former Destiny’s Child bandmate Beyonce is expecting a baby girl.The R&B superstar has yet to reveal the sex of her baby, but Rowland has told Us Weekly magazine that her friend’s first child will be a daughter. Asked what she might buy the unborn tot for an upcoming baby shower,

Rowland said, “I don’t know. I think her dad (Jay-Z) is gonna give her everything anyways, all I can give her is love.”

Not realizing she had slipped up, Rowland was asked if the child would be spoiled and responded, “I think she’ll be very well behaved. Her parents will make sure of that.”

Meanwhile Bey was spotted entering that office building she works at in NYC on Friday the 4th November. Congrats to Bey as always! We love her here at HipHossip. She's showing good now. Standing in front of her face in 2004 interviewing her, I know she is a small tiny person. Next to Tiny (T.I's wife), L'il Kim and Snooki, Bey will be the next smallest person. Julius does such a good job protecting her. My 2004 intv with her is now so precious! I will post it later.

Beyonce used her baby bump to her advantage this Halloween.The singer was spotted sporting a bumble bee suit as she exited the Darby restaurant in New York City Monday night. Photographers were waiting outside to catch a glimpse of the pregnant singer all dressed up. The 30-year-old star was all smiles as she exited Kanye West's Halloween bash sans her hubby Jay-Z, but she was surrounded by her bodyguards. Beyonce may have been covering her growing belly under those fuzzy black and yellow stripes, but she still managed to make an insect look sexy showing off her lean legs.
