NEVER SAY NEVER: Beloved Morning Radio Team JJ and Melanie Together Again on FLOW 93-5

FLOW 93-5 delivered a Valentine to listeners this morning with the announcement that former FLOW radio personality JJ is being reunited with his longtime morning co-host Melanie on FLOW 93-5. Starting today, the duo can be heard on JJ AND MELANIE IN THE MORNING on Toronto’s Hip Hop, Dance and R&B station weekdays from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m.

“To say I’m excited to be re-teaming with Melanie would be a cliché and an understatement so I pulled out the thesaurus,” said JJ, newly minted FLOW 93-5 Morning co-host. “I really like the word adrenalized. I’m adrenalized to be re-teaming with my good friend Melanie on FLOW 93-5 in the mornings. Toronto is my home and the best city in the world, I’m honoured to be able to once again be a part of your morning.” "I can't even begin to describe how excited I am to have JJ sitting across from me again!” said Melanie, FLOW 93-5 Morning co-host. “We have an undeniable chemistry that comes naturally to us. It's real, it's honest, and it just feels right!"

“We jumped at the opportunity to bring JJ back to FLOW and to reunite the dynamic duo, JJ and Melanie,” said David Corey, Vice-President of Programming, CHUM Radio. “By reuniting this beloved morning team, we are turning to ‘something old’ to create ‘something new,’ in hopes of making a stronger and more dynamic station for our dedicated listeners.”

As Toronto’s Hip Hop, Dance and R&B station, FLOW 93-5 is a leader in delivering a rhythmic blend of music. FLOW 93-5 is the newest member of CHUM Radio, one of Canada’s most successful radio networks operating 33 radio stations in 16 markets throughout Canada including CHUM FM, Canada’s # 1 FM station.

CHUM Radio is a division of CTVglobemedia, Canada's premier multimedia company with ownership of CTV, Canada’s #1 television network. CHUM Radio is one of Canada’s most successful radio networks operating 33 radio stations in 14 markets throughout Canada including CHUM FM, Canada’s # 1 FM station.

Thanks to Patricia Garcia and Emily Young, our media partners at CTV who sent our release over and welcome back JJ and Melanie. Is it gonna be the Love-Hate relationship or Love-Love? Happy Valentine's Day. Love you both. KJ has never been complete till this reunion. Above are the one year anniversary pics from the former show in 2008.

LOCAL TV GOING DOWN THE "TUBES?" CTV OUR CANADIAN CHANNEL WITH ALL THE REALITY SHOWS WANTS YOU TO HELP SUPPORT LOCAL TV!!

If you watch Canadian Idol, you would have seen it was on haitus this year. Local TV is losing $$$. So you think you can dance, Canada's Next Top Model, American Idol and many more reality TV shows are coming from CTV Globemedia. This is a plight that we all need to support. Read this entire post pls.....Even if you don't live in Canada.

CTV Toronto is inviting its viewers to a public open house this Saturday, May 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in support of local television. The public is invited to tour CTV Toronto’s facilities and meet on-air personalities, including Ken Shaw and Christine Bentley. The Open House is part of a nation-wide day of action by CTV and ‘A’ stations from coast-to-coast to raise awareness on the crisis facing local TV in Canada.

What: CTV Open House When: Saturday, May 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Where: 9 Channel Nine Court, Toronto, M1S 4B5

Why: In Canada, the government allows cable and satellite companies to take network programming for free and then charge the consumer. Most TV subscribers in Canada hold the false belief that part of their basic monthly bills goes to their local TV stations. This isn't true. They get nothing. Television service providers, including cable and satellite companies, are reaping huge profits at the direct expense of local Canadian TV stations. Canadians are at risk of losing local television.

CTV Newsnet will broadcast highlights, interviews and testimonials from all 16 local open houses coast-to-coast in a live two-hour special beginning at 1 p.m. ET hosted by Ken Shaw.

CTV invites the public to go to SaveLocal.CTV.ca and sign the petition in support of cable and satellite companies paying for the signals they distribute. The site also features an online mechanism that allows viewers to write to their local member of parliament to ask them for their support of local television.
