THE CIARA VERSION--LISTEN.

To properly understand this post, listen to the Beyonce version below and wait Jan 5th 2009. Canada, you heard it here first!

CIARA'S ALTER EGO DUE TO COME OUT BUT SHE CLAIMS IT'S JUST A COMIC BOOK STAR!

R&B star CIARA has enlisted the help of a superhero for her forthcoming album FANTASY RIDE - after creating her own comic book character, SUPA C. The Goodies hitmaker, 23, is working with DC Comics to create the cover artwork for the album, inspired by the comic book classics she read as a kid. But she's warned fans not to confuse her with the animated action figure.

She tells WENN, "Supa C is not my alter ego. Supa C is the star of my comic book and a big part of my album artwork. I have always been a huge fan of comic book illustrations as well as action super heroes, especially Batman and Spider-Man. "Creating my own comic book and character has always been something I've dreamed of doing." Fantasy Ride is set for release next year (09).

She needs to get one of those superheroish Halle Berry roles like Catwoman and Storm.

CAPES AND SUPERHEROES: Ciara says 'Move Over Sasha,' Super C Is Here!

Sounds like a cartoon right ? According to a recent interview with Right On! Ciara says her aggressive alter ego, Super C is coming out in full force on 'Fantasy Ride,' her forthcoming album.

While Ciara says her alter ego has been there all along in the recent issue, some have said the R&B star's unveiling of 'Super C' comes a little to close to Beyonce's introduction of 'Sasha Fierce' - her alter ego and title of the star's latest effort.

Regardless of the time, Ciara wants everyone to get to know 'Super C'.

"Super C is a character that people will learn more about on this record. That is my alter ego," says the "Go Girl" singer. The photo above was in 2006 in Nigeria when I interviewed her at the ThisDay performance.
