2012 BET Awards: Mindless Behaviour Apologizes to Lauryn Hill.

Mindless Behavior apologized to Lauryn Hill for the tax conviction joke group member Ray Ray made at Sunday night’s BET Awards. The Group won the Top award “Viewers Choice” then took to Twitter to take back the shocking remark."We meant no disrespect to our girl Lauryn Hill last night, it was a bad joke."

You never want to burn your bridges in this industry. You never know who knows who? One of Lauryn's daughters is an avid Mindless Behaviour and Justin Bieber fan, and one day she wants to do records with them as I'm told. As the first Blogger to interview them, the young boys meant no harm. I have always believed in them the minute we met while they were on tour in Toronto 2011 with Janet Jackson opening for her.

I can tell you that when I asked Rohan Marley during my interview with him last October that his daughter was the only non reggae fan in the family and just wanted a record deal with Island records and do a song with Bieber and other hearthrobs. Speaking about the bad joke, here is what one of my followers expressed to me after Russell Simmons appreciate how Beyonce took it as she was the one the award was about to be presented to. On the rerun of the award show, many of my Global fans who just watched the show Tuesday nite say they did not see the comment as it was edited out. BET should apologize to Lauryn Hill as well. That boy didn't write that joke, BET did. I certainly hope this mistake was NOT scripted. However we should all overlook it now--MsKemi

TAYLOR SWIFT TURNS DOWN CANCER PATIENT'S DATE REQUEST BUT OFFERS SOMETHING BETTER?

Kevin McGuire is 18 and a second time diagnosed cancer patient/diehard Taylor fan. These days terminally ill patients send requests to big celebrities and get their wishes fulfilled. Remember how Bieber married one kid on Valentine's day just to be Mrs Bieber for a day. This kid however got turned down by Taylor Swift who turned around and asked McGuire to be her date at the upcoming Country Music Awards. OMG!

We spotted it on her Facebook page. Way to go Taylor!

ESTELLE VISITS THE TROOPS BEFORE THE IRAQ MISSION ENDED.

Grammy award winning artist Estelle recently visited with and performed for troops in the Middle East. Below please find pictures and a quote from Estelle about her trip.

"Going to the Middle East to meet with the troops was such an amazing experience. I have nothing but pure admiration, love and respect for everyone that I met out there. I wish them all the best coming home to this brave new world. Happy Holidays to you and yours this season. -Estelle"

Jeni McKenzie is probably the BEST radio personality I know in Canada, not just Toronto, the whole of Canada. As most of you may know, she is the leading on air Radio personality that promotes Canadian Artists the most. In fact Jeni was HipHossip's Radio Woman of the year in 2008. She launched her website www.jjisjeni.com . Knowing the Jeni I know, this website is not even about herself. It's about what else? CANADIAN artists and the rest of us. What cool humility?

The humble Jeni has put together a collage of videos featuring artists like Johnny Roxx, Kim Davis, featured Producers, and even beats from them. She has the "On the go" blog coming soon and also a "Green Tip" blog. Jeni is a earth friendly guru too. You can get all your recycling tips here and more. She dishes this out from her show on FLOW 93.5FM. Jeni Jeni Jeni, still the nicest human being in the music industry had all her peeps come out and show her love. It was packed with Canadian urban music superstars like Rochester, Kim Davis, Drake, Johnny Roxx, Lindo P and more.

The pictures were WICKED! Creatively Dynamic Photographer Belinda of Kamshuka photography took the photographs at this party. Nice backgrounds and groups of totally HOT Canadian celebs. Belinda is available for all your events and you can check out her website here. Boy, I have missed parties but this was one that I really MISSED!
