M.I.A HAS MIDDLE FINGER MALFUNCTION DURING SUPERBOWL HALFTIME.
I did not even notice this till everyone started talking about it. Show was good though. Ahead of her Super Bowl halftime show, singer Madonna promised there would be no "wardrobe malfunction." What she didn't guarantee was no obscene gestures.Rapper M.I.A. provided a middle finger salute to network cameras Sunday night during the 12-minute extravaganza, when she joined Madonna during a performance of the latter's new single, "Give Me All Your Luvin."
The apologies from the NFL and the broadcaster, NBC, came quickly -- they blamed each other." There was a failure in NBC's delay system," said Brian McCarty, the league's vice president of communications. "The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans.""The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show," NBC said. "Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers."The episode was reminiscent of the 2004 Super Bowl when singer Janet Jackson's nipple was briefly exposed during a performance with singer Justin Timberlake.
Madonna had admittedly been nervous about her performance, hoping to position herself as the queen of a new generation of pop stars with an opulent show and a sharp performance that mixed her new release with more familiar songs. She seemed like Roman royalty when muscle-bound men carried her extravagant throne across the football field to the stage for her opening song, "Vogue."Guests Cee Lo, Nicki Minaj and dance rockers LMFAO also appeared with Madonna.
The singing and dancing on "Vogue" was smartly choreographed, as Madonna moved more deliberately -- she is 53 -- but still adroitly. She briefly appeared to stumble at one point while trying to make a step on the stage set, but recovered in time. She let a tightrope walker make the more acrobatic moves during a performance of "Music."Madonna carried gold pompons for a performance of her new single. Twitter was alight with questions about the vocals being lip synched or augmented by tapes, particularly during this song. The best guest was clearly Cee Lo, who joined Madonna for the final song, "Like a Prayer." They were joined by a robed chorus in the show's most soaring performance.
With a puff of white smoke, Madonna disappeared down a trap door in the stage, and lights on the field spelled out "World Peace."The performance was also carried live on SiriusXM Radio, giving Madonna the biggest single audience of her career. For all the elaborate choreography and flashy effects, the finger incident is the more likely headline from the event.Earlier, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert offered some pregame patriotism. Shelton and Lambert did a twangy duet on "America the Beautiful" and Clarkson, in a simple black dress, sang "The Star Spangled Banner" without a hitch after last year's performer, Christina Aguilera, flubbed a line.

RAPPER M.I.A STIRRING CONTROVERSY WITH THE LATEST VIDEO.
If singer/rapper M.I.A.'s purpose was to get people talking about her new single "Born Free," she succeeded. The Sri Lankan-born artist debuted the graphic video on Monday. Immediately, fans took to social media to debate its scenes of military force, violence and brutality.
"M.I.A. is a provocateur and someone who tries to rile people up in a variety of ways," said Saul Austerlitz, author of "Money for Nothing: A History of the Music Video from the Beatles to the White Stripes."
"I think one of the main routes that she takes to that end is the political, and this video has a lot of political resonances, things like Guantanamo, the Iraqi insurgency and the Taliban all sort of jumbled together and rebranded."
The almost nine-minute video for the song from her upcoming album includes nudity as well as scenes of brutality. Directed by filmmaker Romain Gavras, the video revolves around the rounding up of red-headed young men by a group of military commandos.
At one point, a boy is shot point-blank in the head and another young man is blown to pieces.
YouTube reportedly yanked the video in light of its content. Read the rest on CNN as she is PISSED of at YouTube for yanking it. The daughter in law of the Chairman of Warner Music is mad!

M.I.A MAD AT MEDIA WHO NAMED HER BABY BOY!!!

New mum M.I.A. has shot down reports she has named her baby son Ickitt. Latina.com was the first website to suggest the Paper Planes hitmaker had given her month-old boy the odd moniker, but in a MySpace.com post, the rapper/singer insists she hasn't decided on a name yet. The angry mum writes,
"MY BABY IS NOT CALLED ICKITT, PICKIT OR LICKIT THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL THE HOLLYWOOD PRESS. HE'S A BABY, HE DONT NEED PRESS! I DIDNT RELEASE THE BABY NAME BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS NEWS!!!! BUT I WILL BE BACK WITH SOMETHING NEWSWORTHY SOON."Fun-loving M.I.A. then urges the media to "GO PICK ON APPLE, SATCHEL AND MOON UNIT" - the odd-named offspring of Gwyneth Paltrow, Mia Farrow and Frank Zappa respectively. The hitmaker signs off, "LOTS OF LOVE STICKIT!!"
LOL! better not get her mad. That Brewer baby right there is the heir to the Seagrams liquor fortune here in Canada! Great Grandpa is the heir now and Grandpa is the President and CEO of Warner Music.

M.I.A HAS DELIVERED THE BABY BOY THAT COULD INHERIT THE ENTIRE MUSIC AND LIQUOR BUSINESS!
Let's face it, the baby in there is not just one Sri Lankan/black/white baby. It's Edgar Bronfman's great grandson. MIA posted this on her MySpace blog. The unnamed baby was born on Wednesday (local time). He is "healthy, fine, beautiful and the most amazing thing ever on this planet," according to her MySpace posting. The baby's father is musician Benjamin Brewer, son of Edgar Bronfman, chairman and CEO of Warner Music Group and great grandpa is the heir to the Seagrams fortune.
According to Sandra Rose, with all the hype and alleged racism of Edgar Sr not wanting his son marrying a black woman, Edgar Bronfman Jr went ahead and married a black lady, Sherry Brewer and I think they had a total of three kids with Benjamin who uses his mom's name being the oldest. Edgar Sr wrote in his memoir....
“I very much wanted for him to end the relationship, because I told him, all marriages are difficult enough without the added stress of totally different backgrounds. Sherry offered to convert [to Judaism], which though well intentioned, was not the point.”MIA, 31, whose real name is Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam, was born in Britain but raised in Sri Lanka, where her father agitated for an independent Tamil state. She achieved fame with her second album Kala, a cross-cultural mishmash of beats, slogans and lyrical drama.
Her ubiquitous single Paper Plane, which incorporates elements of an obscure Clash track, received a Grammy nomination for record of the year. She got the co-Grammy for that annoying song "Swagger like us."
Better not let the Anna Nicole curse happen here. These babies are heirs to everything in these families!
