Former SPICE GIRL MELANIE BROWN refuses to hire a personal trainer to help her keep fit - because she ends up chatting with the hunks instead of exercising. The slim singer tried to shed weight by recruiting an expert when she was younger - but she was too distracted by her teachers to focus on her work-out.

She tells British magazine Hello!, "I don't have a personal trainer - if anything, I might take a spin class once a week, or do a boot camp class. But that's about it! "I had personal trainers when I was in my twenties, but I didn't really do much training - I did more talking!"

I bet those PT's are hot and hunky too.

MEL B 'S SCARY BIRTH STORIES FOR BANDMATE AIN'T FUNNY!!

Former SPICE GIRL MELANIE CHISHOLM is nervous about giving birth to her first child - because ex-bandmate MELANIE BROWN has frightened her with hospital horror stories. The British singer is expecting her first child in February (09), and is the last of the Girl Power troupe to become a mum. But despite the star's excitement about her impending parenthood, she has heard terrible tales about having a baby - from mum-of-two Melanie Brown, known in the band's heyday as Scary Spice.

However, the star insists she has not been put off - and the rest of her bandmates have offered her the support she needs. She tells U.K. magazine Reveal, "The girls are really excited and supportive. I've seen quite a lot of them lately, except Victoria, obviously, because she's out in L.A. a lot. "Mel B has been talking me through all the fine details of giving birth and has told me loads of horror stories. Well, she is Scary isn't she? So I suppose it's her job to scare me a bit."

MEL C LISTENS TO MUM FOR PARENTING TIPS.

Former SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE CHISHOLM has snubbed parenting advice from her ex-bandmates - in favour of tips from her own mother. The first-time mum-to-be, who confirmed her pregnancy last month (Aug08), reveals her former group mates have offered her wise words on raising kids. But the 34-year-old insists the only person she is listening to is her own mum, Joan. She says, "The girls are made up (happy) for me and have all offered to guide and advise me, but I'm sticking with my mum.

She's my best friend and you don't get any better than that. "I used to love the fact that I was the only Spice Girl who didn't need to lug around loads of baby stuff. Mad, innit (isn't it)? Me, a mum." Chisholm is the last of the Spice Girls to fall pregnant - Melanie Brown has two daughters; Posh Spice Victoria Beckham has three sons with soccer ace David Beckham; and Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton each have one child.

MEL B: 'SPICE GIRLS WILL NEVER REFORM'

The SPICE GIRLS will never reform again, insisting their recent reunion tour was the "final goodbye". Fans hoped the group had kept the door open on further concerts, following their 2007/2008 world tour - particularly after band members refused to rule out a second reunion.

But Scary Spice Melanie Brown dismissed the suggestion at the BMI Urban Awards in California on Thursday (04Sep08), telling reporters, "No. (That tour) was our final goodbye." Brown did admit she misses her bandmates, and enjoyed the chance to perform with them again, saying: "I think we always really enjoyed the whole journey. It was really nice to tour again. Really nice. We're all still friends."

MEL B ASKS FOR A BOOB JOB IN CARTOON AD!

Former SPICE GIRL MELANIE BROWN asks for a boob job from SIR RICHARD BRANSON in a new cartoon advert for Virgin Media. The Yorkshire-born singer, known as Mel B in her girl power heyday, is seen in the saucy animation dressed in her trademark leopard print catsuit.Her character visits a German plastic surgeon and tells him she wants make a "big impression in Hollywood" while gesturing to her chest.

And after 'prescribing' Virgin's Movies on Demand service to help her "stand out from ze udders", the surgeon is revealed to be Virgin boss Branson. After seeing the advert, cheekily titled 'Melony Brown', the singer said: "I'm over the moon with my animated alter ego and the advert really made me giggle! It's definitely fresh and original and I'm going to make sure all my friends and family go to the cinema to see it." The commercial, masterminded by So! Animation, will hit British cinema screens from September 12 (08)
