The Roots were involved in a serious tour bus crash en route to Paris last night (November 19).

The Philadelphia band, who were heading to the French capitol to perform at a gig with Kanye West tonight, reportedly came out of the accident with nothing more than minor injuries.

Blogging from the ambulance on the way to the hospital, Ahmir '?uestlove' Thompson described what happened.

"In reality the crash was all of about 7 seconds....but to do a 360 on the highway and end up ramped up (the van that crashed into ours was UNDER our double decker bus) in the air....is....well... a frigging miracle."

He added, "Dog we are soooo alive right now."

?uestlove explained that the band suffered injuries resulting in "cuts and neck braces," and that they are incredibly grateful that the accident wasn't more serious. "That was divine intervention. We are so grateful for this outcome," he said.

It is not yet known whether the band will be able to perform at tonight's gig or their forthcoming dates throughout Europe, reports Pitchfork.

Rapper FABOLOUS is convinced he was destined to be a hip-hop star - because his dreams of becoming an artist were dashed when he discovered he was no good at design. The Trade It All hitmaker - real name John Jackson - admits he tried to make it big as an artist after graduating from high school. But he traded in his pen for a mic after realising his hip-hop skills far outweighed his former passion. He tells WENN: "I thought I was going to be an artist. I went to art and design high school. I love hard working young rappers. The theme of this video is the same everyday happenings we all hear about but it's how it's story lined in this video that I like. Hunned Proof is from New Jersey and he's been rapping since 5 years old. I plan to do a phone interview with him in September when I resume interviews.
