#RIPPrincessDiana Remembering Princess Diana of Wales 19 years later #HNNRoyalty #HNNmemorial

Diana pictured in Washington in September 1996, less than a year before she died in a car crash. Tributes have been pouring in on social media on the 19th anniversary of her death

The official Twitter accounts for both Kensington Palace (@KensingtonRoyal) and the British Monarchy (@RoyalFamily) stayed quiet on the subject on Wednesday. I wasn't too happy about that.

However Prince Harry, 31, recently revealed that he regrets 'not talking' about the death of his mother for much of his life.

Speaking with former football star Rio Ferdinand, who lost his wife to cancer last year, Harry discussed bereavement at a Kensington Palace barbecue for mental health campaign group Heads Together.

The royal discussed the impact the Princess of Wales' death, when Harry was 12, has had on him when asked by Ferdinand how he coped with the loss.

It was 19 years ago Diana was in that car with boyfriend Dodi Fayed who we also remember today and the ghastly accident happened in Paris. The prince admitted that it was only three years ago that he began to open up about how he felt about losing his mother, saying he didn't speak about Diana's death 'for the first 28 years of my life.'

The youngest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess of Wales said he'd come to realise that talking was the key: 'It is OK to suffer, but as long as you talk about it. It is not a weakness. Weakness is having a problem and not recognising it and not solving that problem.'

He added: 'A lot of people think if you've got a job, if you've got financial security, if you've got a family, you've got a house, all that sort of stuff, everyone seems to think that is all you need and you are absolutely fine to deal with stuff.

Many tributes poured out from British Twitter. Read some here in the Daily Mail

OBA-OYEWUMI

First I have to say this is not the Oba Oyewunmi who is the Soun of Ogbomosho. This is the one in Ondo state in Irele local government.

Police said the abductors asked for N40M but they settled for N500,000. They released him all the way in some bushes of Edo state thanks to the combined effort of the anti-kidnapping division of the police and the DSS. this is Nigeria. No security even for a King.

It may be Princess Charlotte's birthday, but royals fans are the ones receiving a special gift!

Princess Kate and Prince William have released new photos of the little princess on Sunday – just in time for her first birthday on May 2.

And once again, mom Kate, 34, got behind the camera to take the sweet pictures. Charlotte is seen playing around her home in pink and blue outfits (with matching bows) and tights by Amaia and 'Emma' pre-walker shoes by Early Days. She is clearly up on her feet, cruising between furniture and anything else she can hold on to, and taking steps pushing toys, but perhaps not able to confidently walk alone yet.
The pictures were taken at Anmer Hall, after the tour of India and Bhutan. "Turning one is an important family milestone, and the family is happy to share these pictures," a palace source tells PEOPLE.

Kate Middleton and Prince William reportedly hid the name of a painting from President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, during their visit to Kensington Palace on Friday, April 22. The Sun reports that the painting, which was selected by Middleton from the royal collection, has a plaque on it which bears the piece’s alternative name.

According to the report, the Duchess, 34, and William, 33, had the nameplate removed from the piece, and placed a potted plant in front of the painting to hide where the plaque had been.According to reports, the painting in question is by Dutch artist Aelbert Cuyp and is titled “A Page With Two Horses.” The landscape piece from 1660 is also known as “The Negro Page,” and features a black servant boy with two steeds.

#Biafra LISTEN: Ooni of Ife states to all Nigerians and Seperatists : It's One Nigeria and forever will be #HNNRoyalty

Olori Wuraola, Ooni and Sultan
The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has appealed to all Nigerians, irrespective of religious, ethnic and political differences to work diligently towards sustaining Nigeria’s hard-won unity.

The monarch told newsmen in Sokoto on Saturday that Nigerians should set aside their diverse backgrounds to work toward in ensuring that the country remains indivisible.

” It is one Nigeria and forever it will be one Nigeria, with all of us the citizens as one.

” I am an advocate of peace and we as traditional rulers from across the country would sustain the royal fraternities,” he averred.

According to the monarch, there was the need for all traditional rulers in the nation to sustain routine visits to their counterparts from other parts of the country.

Doing so, the royal father said, would foster more harmonious relationship, peace, unity and socio-economic prosperity of Nigeria.

Ooni, Ojaja II, further expressed confidence in the Nigerian project, saying that the nation would forever be on the march to everlasting greatness.
He also stressed that the amalgamation of the country in 1914 was never a mistake.

The Ooni further urged traditional rulers in the country as those closer to the people to always work together in the interest of their people and the nation.

The monarch also underscored the importance of the youths across the country, saying that they formed the majority of the population.

The Ooni stressed the need for the youths to be meaningfully employed to curb the menace of youth restiveness and insecurity.

#Canadian Landscaper grass cutter Eric Manu finds out he's KING of a #Ghana tribe #HNNRoyalty

Eric Manu, wife and son with his boss
A British Colombia man is getting ready to go back to his home country of Ghana where he will be crowned king of a 6,000 person tribe in the south of the country.

Eric Manu, 32, has been living in B.C. for three years after marrying a Canadian woman he met in Ghana. The couple now have a 10-month-old son.

Manu’s uncle was previously the king of the Akan tribe, but he died in 2013. This July, Manu received a phone call telling him he had been chosen as his uncle’s replacement.

“I wasn’t really thinking that it was going to be me because I’m too young for that,” said Manu. However, the community of chiefs and other officials decided Manu was the best person for the job.

Manu is still working as a landscaper in White Rock, but now plans to go to Ghana to become king and improve the lives of his tribe members. He also hopes to split his time between Ghana and Canada.

“I’ve learnt a lot about Canada and I really want to transform the life that Canada changed me to the people of Ghana,” said Manu.

His wife will become queen, but traditionally the Akan tribe has a queen mother for the whole village.

“But the wife of a chief, she also becomes a queen of the king, of the chief,” said Manu. “So she becomes the mother of all mothers of the village.”

#BREAKING The Ooni of #Ife 's BODY arrived in #Nigeria today. He's passed away! #HNNMemorial #HNNRoyalty

Oba Okunade Sijuade actually DIED! As a family friend I was just told. The INTERNET has changed everything! Deaths are not announced till 7 days for the big Yoruba Obas I'm told. As you remember it was LEAKED last week that he passed on in the U.K. His BODY arrived this morning and thus I am gonna pay my tribute now. There is an Oro festival going on in Ife now. No woman is allowed outside at night. You won't even find one out during the day. Tensions are high, the same high chiefs who denied his death are now gonna tell us this week that he's in fact passed away. I'm SPEECHLESS!

REST IN PEACE OBA OKUNADE SIJUADE
I met him at 6 years old as my father's beloved friend and his name was Prince Sijuade. My father called him "Prince". I was devastated to learn that His Royal Highness Oba Okunade Sijuade died in the UK this morning. He had become old and ill early this year. He visited our house several times during my childhood and we would play outside with Tokunbo and his siblings while Mama Tokunbo his oldest wife was in the kitchen with my mom making snacks for the dads. As time went on during the time of my brother Tayo's accident in 1978, most of Tayo's treatment was at Harley st in London and the Sijuades let my family live at their house complete with aides and helpers. The hospitality was astounding. In 1980, he became King at 55yo. That was the biggest party ever. I remember those days. Years later Mama Tokunbo passed away but the King continued to forge on. One thing I will never forget Kabiyesi for was my 40th birthday at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Atlanta, USA. It was my biggest party ever. The King sent me $5000 as a gift. In today's money that will be a million naira. I thanked him greatly in 2004 in a letter but it was not till this past January 2015 that I sent a text to him that I was planning to visit him after almost 15 years. I called and spoke to his royal highness after getting his number from my dad. I wished him a Happy 85th Birthday on New Years Day this year. It is however a shame though that I procrastinated on that trip to Ife and never made it. His health was failing at the time I spoke last with him January. I prayed for him and then this morning I was devastated. All I can say is that Prince Sijuade, Oba Sijuade, the Olubushe household did us proud! This is one of the days I wish Ife never broke up into Osun state. We are Yoruba and we are one. Many of you on this page don't know your history and feel those of us abroad are the dull ones. We know where we came from!
‪#‎RIPOoniOfIfe‬
You were the greatest!
Tokunbo and all the entire family, our hearts are heavy today and our prayers are with you.

Prince George steals the show at Trooping the Colour parade as Kate Middleton 'goes back to work' #HNNRoyalty

The Queen attends Trooping the Colour

The Queen attends Trooping the Colour

Seems like yesterday I was watching Prince William on this same royal balcony, today Prince George stole the show at the Trooping of the colours. Ugly Camilla was also on hand with Prince Charles. George, wearing a smart navy jumper with matching shoes, watched the extravaganza as he was held by royal nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.

He was held by William and waved to the crowd below.

The one-year-old looked up at the aircraft as they roared over the Palace to conclude the pomp and pageantry of the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

It was Kate's first official engagement since the birth of Princess Charlotte six weeks ago.

Kate and William issue WARNING over baby PRINCESS PRIVACY #HNNRoyalty

The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Depart The Lindo Wing With Their Daughter

Letters have been sent out by Kate and William's communications secretary calling for "acts of harassment and breaches of privacy to cease".

The royal couple left their London home of Kensington Palace on Wednesday bound for Anmer Hall with toddler George and new baby Charlotte who was born last Saturday. The letters, distributed by Norfolk Police and signed by the Cambridges' communications secretary, say the couple have "a more than reasonable expectation of privacy".

It called for "acts of harassment and breaches of privacy to cease".

The letter went on: "There have in the past been a number of intrusions into the privacy of the Royal Family which in the main have been as a result of professional photographers using long-distance lenses, not only to observe the Royal Family, but also to photograph them going about their activities on the estate."

#HNNRoyalty LOOK how frail and fragile @ThisisBuhari LOOKED at our palace last night! #HNNPolitics

Sadly last night at our palace (I am the Duchess of Oyo aka daughter of the Balogun of Oyo>>Head of the King's army), before #Buhari left Oyo state, he could NOT answer ALL of my questions. He was tooooooo weak. He speaks 6-8 mins at rallies and has a prostate cancer diagnosis and possibly other over 70yo ailments.

I have only believed in youth becoming our leaders not elderly people. Even the Alaafin looked healthier. He really needs to go abroad and get a health work up. All weekend I will be at @Vitaminkemi to discuss LIVING with Prostate cancer. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

It is not a death sentence. Obasanjo and Tinubu have positioned Osinbajo well to become President one day or even Acting Prez should Buhari becomes weaker. Fayose is 100% right. He should go abroad and get a medical work up.

He never liked Kings and so far we have seen him with 9 Kings in the quest to taste democracy he toppled 31 years ago. He even suspended Emir Ado Bayero and Ooni of Ife during his terror reign stating they did not take his permission to go to Israel.

#HNNRoyalty Happy Birthday to Oyo Royal Family Member, Princess Nike (Alaafin's granddaughter)

Princess Nike via Facebook
Princess Folasade Adeyemi, the daughter of the Alaafin of Oyo wished her daughter Princess Nike Happy Birthday today on Facebook. Nike is such a pretty member of Nigeria's famous royal clan. I am a Duchess in that clan as my dad is the Balogun of Oyo.

Princess Sade and daughter Princess Nike

The message was so touching. This mother-daughter combination rocks and that's why I have #HNNRoyalty. The post is below.
""Dearest daughter, a bright future with peace, grace, God's love and favour awaits. No doubt, you are a fantastic gift from above and I love you for making parenting so easy. Happy birthday to the most beautiful with brain, classy, coolest best friend and my better half. Aseyi Samodun o! Ase!""

Just last month all the Princesses celebrated their grandfather/father's 76th birthday at the palace. What gorgeous ladies.
