#HNNVet OMG! Look at his animal trying to KILL a BIRD by flying on its back!

As much as we’d all like to believe this is a wondrous tale of friendship, sadly it's NOT.

It’s a photo of a weasel trying to kill a woodpecker. Survival of the fittest. I had no idea that the weasel was lighter than the bird!

#HNNHealth Bird Flu Outbreak in two #Canadian farms! #HNNVet

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Four poultry farms where an outbreak of avian influenza was discovered in British Columbia are now under quarantine and thousands of their turkeys and chickens will be euthanized, officials said Wednesday.

There are no reports of the disease being transmitted to humans. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said two more farms have been placed under quarantine, a day after announcing that measure for the first two farms.

Tests to determine the precise strain of the virus were conducted Sunday after bird deaths were reported at a turkey farm in Abbotsford and a chicken farm in Chilliwack.

All four farms are about 5 miles (8 kilometers) apart in the Fraser Valley east of Vancouver.

The Abbotsford farm housed 11,000 turkeys that were to be slaughtered for Christmas. Half died from the bird flu. The Chilliwack barn housed 7,000 chickens and about 1,000 of those died.

#HNNHealth Powerful antibiotics for cows being misused by FARMERS! #HNNVet

NEW YORK/ATLANTA (Reuters) - It is one of the most potent antibiotics used by U.S. cattle and dairy farmers, the key component in the top-selling drug line of Zoetis, the world’s largest animal health company.

But the strength of the antibiotic ceftiofur – and the frequency with which it’s being misused on farms across America – has created a threat to human health that may overshadow the drug’s effectiveness, a Reuters examination shows.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration cautioned in 2012 that ceftiofur could pose a “high public health risk,” in part because the drug belongs to a class of antibiotics considered critically important in human medicine. The warning is the FDA’s strongest kind. The concern is that ceftiofur in animals could spawn antibiotic-resistant bacteria, superbugs that can infect people and defeat conventional medical treatment, even when the drug is used as directed.

#HNNHealth #Ebola Dog Bentley GROUNDED in QUARANTINE till completed. Nina Pham has to wait!

Bentley the Ebola Pooch

Nina Pham has recovered from Ebola, however a judge has ruled her dog Bentley must complete his quarantine before they can be together again. even Nina and Amber were virus free before completing 21 days so what's the big deal. Americans keep violating quarantines until there is a full blown epidemic. They forget its the fruit bats that moved it around here.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said Saturday the reunion will have to wait until the dog is released Nov. 1 from a quarantine period. Jenkins said officials must make sure the dog is virus-free and cannot infect others. Pham is now immune. Jenkins said veterinarians are concerned that if Pham visits the dog, it might affect Bentley's behavior and make it harder to monitor for potential symptoms.

#HNNVet #HNNHealth Nurse Nina's pooch Bentley TESTS NEGATIVE for #Ebola

The dog of Nina Pham, the first of two Dallas nurses diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S., has tested negative for the virus, according to a statement from the city Wednesday.

The dog, Bentley, a 1-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, has been quarantined since Oct. 13, when Dallas officials became concerned that Pham could have passed the virus on to her dog. Dallas Animal Services collected samples of Bentley’s urine and feces Monday to test for the virus, the city said, adding that specimen collection will be conducted and tested again during Bentley’s quarantine.

The fate of Bentley drew widespread concern last week after Pham was infected with Ebola, marking the first case of transmission within the U.S. Animal rights activists and pet lovers feared Bentley would be euthanized, as was the dog of a Spanish nursing aide diagnosed with Ebola. Dallas officials vowed to keep Bentley safe.

Experts have said there is no evidence that domestic pets, such as dogs or cats, can transmit Ebola to humans, discrediting concerns that pets might, for example, lick the mouth of someone with Ebola and then become infected and transmit the disease. Authorities say it is possible for pets to become infected, but that the transmission ends there.

Ebola can be transmitted, however, by wild animals, such as bats and chimpanzees, that are often exposed to the virus after eating bush meat, experts say.

So does this mean animals are quarantines a week? SMH. I wouldn't take chances knowing how long these mean bats in Africa carry that virus around.

#HNNVet #HNNHealth #American Pet owners displaying IGNORANCE over #Ebola (Calling me #BITCH?)

Dallas Nurse Nina Pham

Clearly Ignorance does not excuse stupidity, not only anyone with contact with the dog gets it, but that dog's paws will infect everywhere! Now who's the bitch? Me or the dog. We are eating bats here and that is as bad as it gets when people are hungry in Africa. Bats move it all over the place AND IT'S NOT ACTIVE TILL WE EAT THE DRIED BBQ BATS.Well, we also eat dogs in my tribe here in Nigeria. Now I'm gonna get hate mail.

#HNNVet #HNNEnvironment Warn your kids about this BUG!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS....this fuzzy little bug is called the "Puss Caterpillar." If you touch it, you'll be poked by its tiny venomous spines. The pain is worse than a bee, jellyfish, or scorpion, it can cause vomiting and convulsions. It eventually transforms into the Pussy Moth (Megalopyge Opercularis). They can be found all over the southeast (yes, in VA). But right now, they're dealing with a huge number in Florida. WARN YOUR CHILDREN.

Everything in Florida is in Nigeria. Same climate. We are studying this bug and the norm is not to even touch bugs here.

#HNNVet White cobra caught in Thousand Oaks arrives at San Diego Zoo

The venomous white cobra captured in Thousand Oaks arrived Friday at the San Diego Zoo, where it will join the cobra exhibit after spending 90 days in quarantine.

The San Diego Zoo has the anti-venom serum that would be needed if the snake strikes anyone.

Housed in a specific reptile container, the snake was transported from Los Angeles on the 5 Freeway in one of the zoo's animal transport vehicles, accompanied by the zoo's curator of reptiles.

A deadly cobra that mysteriously appeared in a Southern California neighborhood was taken to the Los Angeles Zoo.

"At first he was not happy and did a lot of hissing," said reptile curator Kim Lovich. "But then he settled down and it was just a nice family trip to San Diego on a Friday afternoon."

#BREAKING #HNNVet Dog elected #MAYOR in #Minnesota USA #HNNPolitics

Duke the dog aka Mayor Duke

A DOG has been elected #MAYOR in #Minnesota USA so u know I CAN BE PRESIDENT in Nigeria!! Even repeal our horrible anti-gay law.

A small Minnesota village has a new mayor. Duke, the dog is Cormorant's newest mayor.

The 12 people who live there elected the 7-year-old dog as its leader.

Duke may not understand politics too well but he's been doing a great job guarding the town.

He even makes sure cars aren't going past the speed limit.

Duke will be sworn in on Sunday.
He won't be getting a salary, but a pet store has agreed to donate a year's supply of food to reward Duke for his service. That's what I'm talking about.

Now maybe my bitch Nalah who shares my birthday can be the town's FIRST LADY!  We need to go to the US Embassy to apply for a visa. Shouldn't be hard. The Mayor is inviting Nalah!! My 50th birthday was August 6th 2014 and Nalah was born to my sister's dog Aug 6th 2006. Alamander had 9 puppies. We kept one.

It's a DOG's world! They guard the towns and a whole President and Army can't guard Nigeria!!
