LISA "LEFTEYE" LOPES MOM INTERVIEW AT JUSTINS IN ATLANTA.

We interviewed the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes' mother on May 27th 2012 during a memorial brunch for her. My U.S partner Futuristic Blogger did that interview at Justin's restaurant in Atlanta. Listen to what Mrs Lopes told him about Lisa being a humanitarian and a big hearted person. I found out many of these things later myself. Remember how she mentored Tamyra into music?

On another note, little did we know that will be the last interview at that location, another hip-hop iconic spot owned by Diddy. I remember going to Justins restaurant, named after his oldest son for lunch every other day during my break and we are talking about serious food here. My fave on the menu was the black eye peas, fried fish and sweet potatoes COOKED the SOUTHERN way.

Diddy

Diddy released a statement saying, he wanted to pursue other business ventures. We'll miss that eatery fixture! in the ATL!--MsKemi

THE LATE LISA LEFT EYE LOPES BROTHER RON CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF HER PASSING AT A BRUNCH IN DIDDY'S RESTAURANT EARLIER TODAY

Ron Lopes is the baby brother of Lisa. It's been 10 years. They are planning a music festival in her name. They had a brunch this morning at Justin restaurant in the Atlanta community. There will be a kids concert, fashion show, tribute convert, freebies for the community as Lisa was a philanthropist as you know.

This upcoming festival summer will feature some great kid acts like the OMG girlz and more. The Futuristic blogger is our partner site stationed in the US for all the activities I may not be available to cover. S/O To him. We do not miss anything!

Special thanks to Ron Lopes for shouting us out and inviting us to be part of his family as well as Trae Davenport, the Publicist for the Left Eye Lopes Foundation.

Tamyra's aunt, her mom, Lisa, Tamyra and her baby brother at her graduation in 2001 and below Tamyra and I at an autograph signing after the Idol season ended.

Above is a very rare photo of Lisa, another mentor of hers gave me in 2004. Did you know that Tamyra Gray, one of the Idol final 3 in American Idol season ONE was mentored by Lisa?  Here is Tamyra's high school graduation in 2001. Classic memories! "MsKemi, Lisa taught me how to sing!"...Tamyra told me in 2004.

Happy Birthday to Lisa up above in the heavens. You will always be missed here!

About Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes Foundation (LLF) Headquartered in Stone Mountain, Georgia, the Lisa Lopes Foundation (LLF) was developed in 2003. LLF was created by Lisa's mother, Wanda Lopes-Colemon, brother Ronald Lopes and family friend Anashay Murphy. The mission of LLF is to provide access to Basic Health, Education, Self-Awareness and Recreational Programs to children living in low-income communities within the United States and Central America. LLF was inspired by Lisa's dream of building a children’s home on land she purchased in Honduras. Shortly after revealing her plans to her family, Lisa passed away in an auto accident in Honduras. Four years later LLF opened Lisa's Home of Love, a 10,000 sq. ft., residential facility.
