ELLEN DEGENERES STARTS RECORD LABEL AND SIGNS THAT LADY GAGA PIANO KID.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Ellen DeGeneres added ''American Idol' ...

After a season judging singers on "American Idol," Ellen DeGeneres is delving deeper into the music business with her own label.

The talk show host was announcing on her show Wednesday that she is starting a label called eleveneleven. Her first act will be 12-year-old Greyson Chance, who recently became a sensation on YouTube with his piano version of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi."

There's no word on when the label will start. It was formed with Telepictures Productions.

Besides DeGeneres, Greyson has some other strong people behind him: Madonna's manager and Lady Gaga's manager

OH NO! BEATLES/ITUNES DEAL STALLS!!

http://www.saledaddy.com/images/89_The_Beatles.jpg

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has revealed a new deal to provide the BEATLES back catalogue on download website iTunes has fallen through after the rocker, Apple Corps bosses and EMI executives failed to reach an agreement. McCartney states the Beatles' move to digital has been in the works for years, but the Fab Four are too iconic to rush through a deal with iTunes. He says, "

What happens is, when something's as big as The Beatles, it's heavy negotiations.
"We are very for it, we've been pushing it. But there are a couple of sticking points, I understand. So the last word I got back was that it had stalled, the whole process. "EMI want something we're not prepared to give them. Hey, sounds like the music business. It's between EMI and the Beatles. What else is new."
A spokesman for EMI says, "We have been working very hard to secure an agreement with Apple Corps to make The Beatles' legendary recording catalogue available to fans in digital form. "Unfortunately the various parties involved have so far been unable to reach agreement, but we really hope that everyone can make progress soon." Apple Corps is a multimedia corporation founded by the Beatles in 1968.

DAVID ARCHULETA LANDS RECORD DEAL!

AMERICAN IDOL runner-up DAVID ARCHULETA is set to release an album later this year (08) after signing a major record deal - even though he failed to win the U.S. TV show.
Archuleta was widely tipped to come out triumphant on the TV talent competition, but he eventually lost by a landslide 12 million votes to opponent David Cook in the final episode last month (May08). The 17-year-old's contract with 19 Recordings/Jive Records mirrors the paths of former 'Idol' stars Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson and Clay Aiken, who all lost in past seasons but have successfully launched careers in the film, music and theatre arenas.
In a statement released Thursday (05Jun08), series creator Simon Fuller says: "It was fascinating to watch David's journey through 'Idol'.

He is a genuine pop star, and is a gifted singer." Daughtry managed to achieve the best-selling album in the U.S . in 2007, while Hudson won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in the same year for her role in Dreamgirls . Aiken finished a four-month stint on Broadway last month (May08) playing Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot.
