Christopher Peloso, the husband of Ontario’s former deputy premier George Smitherman, has been found dead after being reported missing for the second time this year.

Smitherman released a statement saying Toronto Police confirmed to him they had found 40-year-old Peloso dead.

"We will celebrate his life and we will find comfort somehow in knowing that he has found peace from the depression that has wreaked havoc on his mind," wrote Smitherman.

Peloso, who is survived by three children, was last seen on Sunday, Dec. 29, at approximately 11 a.m.

On Sunday evening, Smitherman tweeted: "Freedom from depression has been elusive for Christopher and once again he is missing and we fear for his safety."
Peloso was also reported missing in September and was found two days later by a police K-9 unit, curled up and lying near a fence that runs along the railway tracks near Lansdowne and Dupont Avenues.

"We will find strength going forward from the legions of people in our extended family who loved him so," wrote Smitherman.

Depression is a major disease that should not be toyed with. Pls get help. We have not gotten final confirmation from authorities but I can tell you that when I knew George, he was such a caring great man. I supported his political career and he embraced us so much as new to Canada at the time.  Smitherman adored my son KJ. BEIRUT - The former Lebanese ambassador to the United States was killed early Friday by a bomb explosion close to the government headquarters in central Beirut that also killed at least four others.

Mohammad Chatah, who was a senior aide to former prime minister Saad Hariri, was attending a meeting of senior leaders of the March 14 political party. The party is staunchly opposed to the regime of Bashar Assad in neighboring Syria and critical of Shiite militia and political party Hezbollah inside of Lebanon.

The blast, which targeted Chatah's convoy, set cars on fire and sent black smoke billowing into the sky above the recently-reconstructed upscale business and zone of Beirut, close to the Intercontinental Phoenica Hotel.

Four others were killed in the explosion, which was heard across the city at 9:40 a.m. local time (2.40 a.m. ET), Lebanese medical sources said.

Chatah's driver was among the the victims, according to Reuters, citing security sources.

A Reuters witness at the scene said Chatah's car was "totally destroyed. It is a wreck."

The army cordoned off the area to prevent people from getting close to the scene, where the twisted wreckage of several cars was still smoldering. The explosion appeared to be the result of the car bomb, but security officials said they had no immediate confirmation.

Hariri heads the main, Western-backed coalition in Lebanon and is engaged in bitter feuding with Hezbollah group, which is allied to Assad, who is embroiled in an increasingly brutal civil war.
Chatah was also a prominent economist and former finance minister. He also served at the IMF and was former vice governor of Banque di Liban.

He was one of the closest aides to Hariri's father, Rafik Hariri, the Lebanese prime minister who was himself killed in a truck bombing in Beirut in 2005, not far from Friday's explosion.

#HNNBusiness OPINION: My message to Nigerians in 2014 about EMPLOYMENT!

The problem with many of you unemployed is that you wanna work for the government. Nobody works or struggles all day trying to work for the government in America. Get into the private sector or get into self employment like me.

I'm sure u can sell something on the streets that is lucrative. In 1985 I used to sell home made American cookies I baked at 5am daily during my school vacations when I came from America.

Get out there. Don't ask me to find u a job in 2014. I got 14 of you jobs in Lagos 2012/2013. Only heard Thank U from 6. I will offer career counseling only at N12K with my connections and u get a job relevant to your experience.

As much as I hate child labour in Nigeria, I see more KIDS working out there daily selling so much for their parents. I pray for a Nigeria where children will never have to hawk again.

The Akinjides are loyal people and loyal to any undertaking they are involved in. Despite the fact that Honorable Aliyu Pategi  her husband who is from Kwara decamped with some other 37 reps last week to APC means nothing. Here is her statement.
