Onyebuchi Chukwu, Nigeria's former Health Minister signs off

Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has now left the building and handed over to Dr. Khaliru Alhassan, Minister of Health for State who will serve as Nigeria's Health Minister for now. Chukwu did a very good job monitoring and managing the health care facets of Nigeria but nothing sprung him more in the spotlight than his way of containing the Ebola outbreak of Summer in Nigeria. 

He will always be known in the International arena because of this. He took leadership where it begins from. Leadership starts at the TOP. He visited quarantine centers and launched them, met and encouraged dedicated staff in all areas, we saw all the pictures on social media handles of the Government. 

Credit goes to so many people including the late Dr Ameyo Adadevoh who stopped the outbreak from the source, Patrick Sawyer the Liberian patient in Lagos who bought Ebola to Nigeria. It was the way the Health Minister acted quickly to Adadevoh's concern that made a big difference.

Chukwu resigned after deciding to run for the Governorship of his state, Ebonyi in 2015. #HNNAfrica wishes him good luck in all his endeavours.
