ADELE CHANGES MIND ABOUT QUITTING MUSIC FOR 4-5 YEARS.

Wenn reports that British singing sensation Adele has backtracked on comments she made revealing she's planning to take a break from music for "four or five years", insisting she's heading into a recording studio later this month.

The soul star, whose heartbreak songs won her six Grammy Awards on Sunday, is currently enjoying a new romance with Simon Konecki, and revealed in a magazine article she wants to take a break from her career in case working damages her love life.

She told Vogue magazine, "I am f**king off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy. And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch."

The singer also revealed she plans to use her break to gather material for her next album, the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed record 21.

She added, "I don't want to be disposable. You're only as good as your next record. I'm not scared of losing this. I won't come out with new music until it's better than 21."

But following publication of the interview, Adele has downplayed her comments, declaring she has no intention of turning her back on her music.

In a blog post on Tuesday, she writes, "I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!"

And her representatives also insist the star has no plans for a hiatus, dismissing her remarks as "an off-hand comment".

MY FAVE GRAMMY RED CARPET OUTFIT: SASHA'S GUNNER DEFENSE MECHANISM.

With all my Whitney coverage, it's been so hard trying to cover the Grammys. Sasha's outfit was my fave! She looks like some GI Jane on the red carpet. Better controversy. If Nicki Minaj and her switched outfits, there would have been no issue.

CATHOLIC LEAGUE BLASTS NICKI MINAJ'S EXORCISM PERFORMANCE ON THE GRAMMYS.

The Catholic League condemned the "Roman Holiday" rapper for her exercise in exorcism on the Grammys last nite which came complete with choir boys, bishops, holy water, faux possessions, levitation and even a confessional. The League's president Bill Donahue expressed his sick stomach this morning in a press release, commenting in a posting on the Catholic League's website entitled "Is Nicki Minaj Possessed?" And.......everyone trashed Lady Gaga over the "Judas" video. Read the entire press release here.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING ME ON FACEBOOK AND TWITTER FOR THE 2012 GRAMMYS.

I wanna thank everyone who joined me on Twitter and Facebook for Grammy night earlier. You can read all the Tweets @HipHossip or at Facebook. I will file all the stories by noon EDT complete with photos of the red carpet. What's your opinion about the awards? Was it much of a Whitney tribute? One song by Jennifer Hudson? Many die hard fans are demanding her funeral be televised like Michael Jackson's. Let me hear your opinions in the new comments field.

THE SHOW MUST GO ON? CLIVE DAVIS DEDICATES ANNUAL PARTY TO WHITNEY WHILE BODY IS STILL UPSTAIRS IN HOTEL ROOM.

Would you have canceled the Arista party or went ahead with it? There are mixed comments from the Canadian music industry. Speaking to industry execs I called on cell phones aka probably at home on a Saturday nite, most said they would have canceled it in her honor simply because her body was still IN THAT HOTEL.

One Warner Music Canada executive who wishes to remain anonymous shared that sentiment of the VENUE. Speaking to Journalism pal Superblogger Necole Bitchie of NecoleBitchie.com, she said some of those celebs may not even have known the body was still there 6-7 hours after she was pronounced dead and called it "eerie" that stars showed up at the same hotel....and she's right. CNN showed the pics and it was like a riot of limos arriving, cop cars, media vans and yellow tape chaos. Above are some of the pictures. The rest is on my Facebook album.
