Rapper Nas has been hit with a massive $2.5 million demand from tax officials, according to reports. The hip-hop star is accused of failing to keep up with his taxes in 2006 and 2007, and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officials have taken their case to court in a bid to try to recoup the cash.
IRS bosses allege Nas failed to pay $2,584,206.31 , according to papers obtained by TMZ.com. In July (09) Nas was ordered to pay $5,000 a month in child support for his son Knight as part of his ongoing divorce battle with estranged wife Kelis.
Rapper BUMP J. has been arrested for allegedly stealing $100,000 from a Chicago bank in 2007. The rapper, real name Terrance Boykin, was detained by federal officials in Carbondale, Illinois and taken into custody following a routine traffic stop earlier this week. If you don't know Bump J, he is called the "Chief of Chicago." This cat is so talented that he got greedy and stupid!
He is accused of robbing a Chase Bank branch at gunpoint in January 2007 with a male accomplice. Boykin and the unnamed pal are alleged to have entered the financial institution and announced the robbery before taking more than $100,000.
No one was injured in the heist, which was captured on surveillance cameras. Boykin is indicted on one count of bank robbery and of violation of federal firearms statues. He is being held without bond at the Carbondale Police Department, awaiting extradition to Chicago. The other man who allegedly participated in the robbery remains at large
