Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” has been nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammys.

A man from one of the most lawless sections of Canada is in hot water. A British Columbia man is facing harassment charges in a computer-hacking case linked to Mission, B.C., pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen. Vancouver police issued a release Tuesday that Abbotsford resident Christopher David Long, 25, has been charged with fraudulently obtaining telecommunications services, unauthorized use of a computer, mischief of data, identity fraud and possession of stolen property.

Police said the charges related to an investigation launched last March after they received a report of harassment of a "local, well-known celebrity."

They would not identify the celebrity but several media outlets say the alleged target was the Call Me Maybe singer, who hails from Mission, a few minutes northwest of Abbotsford.

Thieves Raid Rapper Rick Ross' Tour Bus!

Wenn reports that Rapper Rick Ross' tour bus was ransacked in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday, according to a U.S. report.

The vehicle was raided and thousands of dollars worth of items, including jewelry and clothes, were allegedly taken.

Nobody was on the bus when it was raided and a police report has been filed in relation to the incident, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports Ross and his entourage were staying at a nearby hotel at the time.

JESSIE J BLAST THE PEOPLE THAT LEAKED HER SONG!

British pop star Jessie J has been left fuming after several of her unreleased songs leaked online.
The Price Tag hitmaker was furious when she discovered a number of tracks from her upcomingnew album were available on the internet before their official release, and she's blamed computer hackers for the leak.

In a post on Twitter.com, she writes, "It's a real shame when people feel they have the right to leak an artist (sic) songs. It's art and personal... I will never know (who did it). Could be anyone from a hacker to someone who has been sent the song once upon a time... Fluff it!! Imma (sic) just keep writing!! Keep believing and keep working my a** off!!"

YET ANOTHER CHARGE DROPPED AGAINST FOXY BROWN.

The Brooklyn district attorney's criminal case against Foxy Brown collapsed Tuesday after the victim refused to testify that she was mooned by the rap diva.

Brown, 32, whose real name is Inga Marchand, hugged her lawyers after Justice John Walsh dismissed the misdemeanor charge of violating an order of protection.

Assistant District Attorney Robert Isdith said complainant Arlene Raymond told him late last week that she did not want to take the stand at the trial scheduled to begin Tuesday in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

A source familiar with the case said Raymond told prosecutors that her lawyer had concluded there was no money to be made by suing Brown so she did not want to cooperate any further in the criminal case.

Brown's lawyer Salvatore Strazzullo announced he intends to sue the city, the NYPD and the D.A.'s office for malicious prosecution.

Now BBC bosses have urged Ozzy Osbourne's wife to contact cops to verify the jewellery is hers.

A spokeswoman tells WENN, "The item went out as a 'find' of things that were taken in a burglary. The police haven't been contacted by the Osbournes so whether we can verify what Kelly's tweeting, we are not sure. We need them to contact the police." Crimewatch presenters appeal for help from the public to crack serious crimes and trace the owners of recently-recovered stolen property.

Osbourne's wedding ring was among a haul of stolen jewellery and designer watches - worth more than $1.6 million (£1 million) - which was recovered from a house in north England during a raid last year (10).

TINY PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO POSESSING ECSTACY PILLS.

Los Angeles County District Attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison says Tameka "Tiny" Cottle entered the plea through her attorney on Monday.She was arrested Sept. 1 along with her husband during a traffic stop on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip.The 35-year-old is not required to appear in person on the case. It will be called for a pretrial hearing on Jan. 6.

Cottle's attorney, Blair Berk, declined to comment. Prosecutors declined to charge T.I., citing a federal judge's decision to send him to prison for 11 months for violating his probation on weapons charges and because only four ecstasy pills were found on him.

Carmine Agnello has dropped his given name and is recording a hip-pop album as Carmine Gotti.

The 24-year-old says he's no longer the kid seen on the A&E reality show "Growing Up Gotti," starring his mom, Victoria Gotti. He calls himself "matured" and "clean-cut."

He says his memory of his grandfather is of someone who was always there for him and his family. John Gotti died in 2002 while serving a life sentence for murder and racketeering.

RAPPER L'IL WAYNE DETAINED BY TEXAS AUTHORITIES AFTER MARIJUANA IS FOUND ON TOUR BUS....AGAIN?

Rapper Lil Wayne was detained by U.S. Border Patrol agents in Texas on Friday after authorities found marijuana on two of his tour buses.

The marijuana on the buses was detected by drug dogs, said Agent Joe Trevino. The rapper, whose real name is DeWayne Michael Carter, Jr., was among a dozen being detained from his group.

Trevino said the buses were en route to Laredo, Texas, from a concert stop in Hidalgo state.

Calls to Carter's representatives were not immediately returned Friday.

The Louisiana native was the 2008 best-selling artist, with 2.8 million records sold, and is signed to Cash Money Records.

The rapper is scheduled to begin a prison sentence in February stemming from gun charges in New York.

An Indiana fitness trainer deluged Ashanti's mother with crude text messages about the R&B star, peppering his comments with graphic photos and a picture of her family home, authorities said in a court case that could go to trial next week.

Devar Hurd, 31, sent the Grammy-winning singer's mother and her husband dozens of messages to their cellphones before his July arrest, a detective said in papers filed in state court in Manhattan.

The messages gushed lewdly about Ashanti's performances and jealously lamented her relationship with the rapper Nelly, the court papers said. They said one message included a photo of her mother's home and asked about coming over to visit; another mentioned seeing her car when he went to a performance of "The Wiz." Ashanti starred in an off-Broadway revival of the musical this summer.

Bosses at Lil Wayne's record label have vowed to the support the star if he is sent to prison next year (2010).The Lollipop hitmaker, real name Dwayne Carter, pleaded guilty to firearms charges at a hearing in New York on Thursday (22Oct09) and is expected to be sentenced to between eight and 10 months in prison when he returns to court in February (10). The charges stem from an incident in the Big Apple in 2007 when cops found a gun on his tour bus.

But executives at Carter's Cash Money Records label have pledged their allegiance to the star, insisting they will stand by him while he serves his sentence, according to MTV.com. Cash Money Records CEOs Ronald 'Slim' Williams and Bryan 'Baby' Williams have issued a joint statement, which reads, "The Cash Money family will continue to support our artist and friend Lil Wayne in his current court case.

We have worked with Wayne since he was a teenager, and have seen him grow into one of the world's most successful hip-hop artists, with a work ethic that is second to none. Wayne has our love and commitment during this difficult time. We always have and always will stand behind him." Carter is also due to stand trial in March (10) on drug possession charges following an unrelated arrest in Yuma, Arizona in January 2008.

The DNA test is over! Lil Wayne will be forced to plead out to a jail term in New York City on Thursday, according to sources with AllHipHop.

The rapper is expected to accept an 8-month bid in jail over his alleged involvement with a loaded .40-caliber pistol gun found on his tour bus in 2007 while in New York.

The 27-year-old now faces 15 years in jail for each count of criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon.

“Wayne is going to plead guilty,” a source close to the case AllHipHop, stressing that this was definitely going to happen. The rapper pleaded not guilty at press time and has yet to make any such public declaration. “The date is coming up and he’s going to do it tomorrow.” Now that's today!

A hearing on a DNA profiling technique used in the rapper’s 2007 gun-possession case was due to start Wednesday. It concerns a process used for identifying people from tiny amounts of DNA — including some that prosecutors say ties the Grammy Award-winner to a gun found on his tour bus after a concert.

The 27-year-old has pleaded not guilty. He faces at least 31/2 years in prison if convicted.

The hearing aims to establish whether what’s known as low copy number DNA profiling has general scientific acceptance.

Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Carter, won last year’s best rap solo performance Grammy for “A Milli.” His albums include “Tha Carter,” “Tha Carter II” and “Tha Carter III.”

Leona Lewis is planning to press charges against a man who punched her at a book signing session on Wednesday (14Oct09). The Bleeding Love star was forced to curtail a publicity event in London after she was attacked by the 29 year old male, who was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and taken into police custody.

The singer was spotted holding her eye and weeping as she left the store.
