Report reaching DAILY POST says that a High Court sitting in Gezawa on Tuesday Tuesday, discharged and acquitted Wasila Tasiu, the 14-year-old girl who was charged for the murder of her late husband and 3 others.
The presiding judge in the ruling based on the formal application before the court from the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, says the “the case is hereby terminated and the accused is discharged”.
DAILY POST recalls that Tasiu was 14, when she was given out to a 40-year-old Sani as a second wife.
The marriage reportedly lasted for 17 days. It has been alleged that Sani and his three friends were killed by the 14- year-old, after they took a lunch served with rat poison.
Shortly after her husband was buried, Tasiu confessed to poisoning his meal.
