David
Bowie’s son, the film director Duncan Jones, has announced that he
welcomed his first child into the world exactly six months after the
death of his father.
Duncan’s wife Rodene Ronquillo gave birth to their son on July 10, half a year after David, 69, lost his battle with cancer.
The baby would have been David’s first grandchild.
Duncan
announced the new arrival as David’s towering musical legacy was
remembered at the Proms as a host of diverse musicians came together for
a creative reimagining of his work.
