More than 700 members are expected to attend the annual "Canada Run" in Carlsbad Springs, Ottawa, Friday through Sunday. Police asked residents to "limit their contact" with attendees, reports said. News in Ottawa Facebook page said Hells Angels are arriving by the hundreds today for their four day mandatory Canada Run. Ottawa and Quebec Police are stepping up surveillance, but they don't expect any trouble.
The meeting is taking place at the Hells Angels Nomads 5th Chapter clubhouse in Carlsbad Springs, but some members were spotted last night at the Byward Market. At some point there will likely be a large-scale ride, and Police advice to the public is, leave the bikers alone, and the bikers will do the same. They are known to carry weapons and sometimes all hell breaks loose.
