A representative for Taylor Lautner has blasted internet speculation the Twilight hunk died after an alleged overdose. Reports suggesting the 17-year-old star had died began circulating widely on Monday (11Jan10) after it was reported on a number of internet blogs and by users on social-networking site Twitter.com.

The sick rumors alleged Lautner died at a Hollywood party after accidentally overdosing on cocaine. But a spokesperson for Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment has moved quickly to confirm Lautner is still alive, insisting, "This is a hoax."

PEREZ IS SAD: GIVE HIM SOME LOVE. YOU KNOW IT WAS ALL A STUNT?

A New Statement from Perez Hilton

Filed under: Gay Gay Gay > Personally Perez > Sad Sad

From the heart:

"Words can hurt. I know that very well, from both sides of the fence. The other night in Toronto, after feeling physically threatened by a verbally abusive Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas, I chose the most hurtful word I know to hurl at him. I was in an out-of-the ordinary situaton and used a word that I would not utter under normal circumstances. My intention - however misguided it may have been - was to stand up for myself and tell this belligerent man that I had enough of his badgering and was not going to continue to let him berate and intimidate me. I wanted to hurt him with the word I chose, not anyone else. Unfortunately, the one who got hurt was me and, subsequently, a lot of other people. I wish none of it had happened. I can't take it back. I did what I thought was best at the moment to stand up for myself in a non-violent yet still assertive way. Clearly, I am not homophobic. Also, I am not nor have I ever claimed to be a spokesperson for the gay community. I am just speaking for myself, a gay man. One who is labeled "flamboyant" in the media. An American that is not granted equal rights under the law. I will continue to speak out for equality and I will continue to say things that upset both gay people and straight people. Who I am as a person and what I do for a living are two separate things. I've come to terms with all my incongruities and am proud of who I am and what I do. In closing, words can hurt. But words should not provoke someone to violence. Stripped away from the mask of Perez Hilton, I have been extremely bothered by the public reaction to my assault. Violence should never be condoned with such statements as "It's Karma" or "I don't believe in violence but….". In fact, several television and radio shows over the past couple of days echoed the sentiment "He had it coming". Would they have said the same thing if I was a woman? Would I have "deserved it" if I had been stabbed? Or shot? Or killed? I was attacked from behind without warning and repeatedly punched in the head in a cold, disgusting and unnecessarily violent manner by Polo Molina, the road manager for the Black Eyed Peas, who I did not even speak with that evening. I did not share any words with him and his assault on me was completely unprovoked. I feel like everything happens for a reason and I leave this traumatic experience as a person with more compassion. Specifically, there was an instance last year when actor Jesse Metcalfe was attacked outside of a Hollywood nightclub by a fellow entertainer. I did not condone the violence, but I did make light of that situation. I regret that. Sincerely. There are many ways to deal with disagreements, both good and bad, but violence is never the answer. Never. I now know that first-hand. It should not be condoned, promoted or accepted. No one "deserves" to be the victim of violence. No one "has it coming." NO ONE. And victims should not be ridiculed. I look forward to marching for equality in Washington, D.C. this October. And I look forward to standing up for my rights in a Toronto courtroom shortly, as I fully intend to seek every lawful remedy against the man that attacked me."

Give Perez some love! Calling Will.i.am a "faggot" is no big deal! It's like calling a black man Motherfockn nigga if he were to call me a "bitch ass." These are "slurry terms" we all use. Both men are highly intelligent and talented and have their faults. Free Speech is important and Perez writes what he feels and W sings what he wishes. GREAT STUNT GUYS! Sorry Eminem and Sasha Cohen! This one's better and it works better out of the country!

BOOM BOOM POW? MY TAKE ON THE "BLACK EYE" THAT PEREZ HILTON SUFFERED!

The FOX News story below but I spent most of the last hours of the MMVA as in 11.15pm with Will.i.am and Perez Hilton. Perez left with Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas while Will.i.am, Fergie and the rest of the group and entourage were making videos and chilling. Will even did a video of me on his phone saying "good job on that Obama campaign." Who was that guy who shoved me in front of Fergie and said "Fergie's gotta go." Fergalicious looked at him and said....I am TAKING THIS PICTURE! Just heard that was Polo Molina!!!!

That is the picture of my 2004 autograph by Will.i.am without her. She was in the bathroom and they were calling me next door to interview Pharrell. For 5 years when this picture was seen, it was like everyone said "Where's Fergie?" Fergie even chilled with me for a few moments. W signed my chest in the picture.

See what Will.i.am had to say in response to Perez

THE WHOLE THING IS A PR STUNT. I'M TELLING YA! I WAS WITH THEM BOTH AT E-TALK BEFORE WE ALL LEFT.

This is the room everyone was last seen at 11.45pm!! E-Talk is Canada's #1 Entertainment show. It's just like ET and Insider, ONLY BETTER! Hosted by Tanya Kim and Canadian Idol Host Ben Mulroney.

Perez Hilton and Black Eyed Peas singer Will.I.Am have posted video statements giving two very different accounts of an alleged assault of the gossip blogger outside a nightclub early Monday morning.

Perez Hilton Twittered that he was bleeding after being assaulted by a member of the Black Eyed Peas outside a party at the club Cobra following the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada on Sunday night.

"I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards," the gossip blogger wrote on his Twitter account. "I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."

Hilton continued in three subsequent tweets:

"Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel."

"I spoke to my lawyer. I really need to talk to the authorities. Please come to the SoHo Met Hotel. Have called the police. Need them here."

"The Toronto police are here now. Thank you. Please stop calling them."

Will.I.Am posted his own online video statement early Monday morning telling his side of the story. The singer said fellow Black Eyed Peas member Fergie had approached Hilton at an afterparty at the club Ultra and asked what the blogger had against their group. Fergie then relayed the back-and-forth to Will.I.Am, who described the blogger as being "rude."

At a subsequent afterparty at Cobra, Will.I.Am says he and Hilton exchanged words. "So I go up to him and say, 'Hey, can you do me a favor, Perez?... Can you not be so blatantly rude to our group on your website? That's just wrong - you don't have to be disrespectful,'" Will.I.Am said in his video statement. "He said, 'I don't respect you.' I was like, 'What? Ok, if you don't respect me that's cool.'

Will.I.Am then says Perez called him "a f**got" at which point "the fans get all crazy and start on Perez Hilton. I'm just sitting there minding my own business waiting for a car."

However, the entertainment website TMZ reported that the general manager of the Black Eyed Peas -- Polo Molina -- had turned himself in to Toronto police early Monday morning. Hilton corroborated this in his own video release Monday morning, saying that The Black Eyed Peas' manager "Polo clocked me right here [motioning to his black eye], and punched me two or three times."

An extremely emotional Hilton also addressed Will.I.am's video statement, saying "You know very well, and I know very well, and God knows that it was not a random fan that hit me."

Hilton did admit calling Will.I.Am a "f**got," saying it was the worse thing he could think of to call the singer at the time. He went further in his video statement, calling the singer "a f***ing coward," and adding he would have had more respect if he would have punched him in the face himself.

OK! maybe not a stunt as Tony Vella's name is in the story. Constable Tony Vella is Communications PR cop for Toronto Police and you know I'm peeps with the cops. This shyt may be REAL! Should have worn my SWAT jacket last nite!

The Midway State took home two awards (the coveted UR FAVE : Favourite New Artist and VideoFACT Best Independent Video) and international chart-topper Lady Gaga, who left fans awestruck with her umm…spark-spitting brassiere, seized the highly-coveted International Video of the Year award. Mega heartthorb co-hosts Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas caused heart palipitations at the legendary corner of Queen and John with not one, but two performances.

But this year it was the fans that spoke louder than ever before casting close to 470,000 total votes to crown Simple Plan (Favourite Video), The Midway State (Favourite New Artist), and the Jonas Brothers (Favourite International Video) as the winners of the 2009 MMVAs UR FAVE Awards (formerly People’s Choice Awards).

"It’s was an absolutely incredible night, with the best in the business doing their thing for the MuchMusic fans all night long,” said Brad Schwartz, Senior Vice-President and General Manager, The Much MTV Group, CTV Inc."Whether it was hugging a Jo Bros in person, being glued to the TV for three rock solid hours, or directing their own version of the MMVAs at muchmusic.com, the best part for us was being able to bring our fans closer to their favorite stars than they’ve ever been.”

Encore presentations of the 2009 MMVAs can be viewed online at muchmusic.com right now. Viewers can pick their favourite performances or see the whole broadcast in its entirety again. The 2009 MMVAs rebroadcasts on CTV on July 11 at midnight ET. MuchMusic also rebroadcasts the show throughout the week.

MuchMusic announced today that the most fan-friendly event of the year, the 2009 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS airs live from the station’s headquarters in downtown Toronto on Sunday, June 21. OMG! SEAN KINGSTON'S BLING STOLEN IN THE FEDEX MAIL!

Reggae star SEAN KINGSTON is at the centre of a police investigation in Los Angeles after jewellery worth $500,000 went missing in the mail. The gems were in a package mailed to a New York jeweller by the Beautiful Girl hitmaker's sister.

Unfortunately, Kingston's sibling insured the contents for just $500, reports TMZ.com. The authorities were alerted to the missing bling when the FedEx package Kingston's sister sent arrived at the jewellers empty.

As soon as I read the story, I dug out my MMVA pictures. Sean wears these crayons and box like blings sort of like what Flava Flav does with clocks. The are REAL. I took these pictures on the red carpet back in June 2008. We hope the stolen one is not this one!

THE DEATH OF THE MEDIA PASS AND WRIST BANDS HAS NOW ARRIVED!

My press pass has now retired and gone to the press pass ziplock hall of fame where the DJ Stylus, Grammys, Billboards, Oscars and Golden Globe and Canadian Idol auditons all die out. My first MMVA'S was a success and I had an altogether great time. All the CTV offices were party areas this weekend. The pre-party was even hotter than the afterparties. 10 MMVA bottled waters, 6 ginger ales, 4 Pepsi Max and lots of pineapple juice plus the shrimp, chicken rolls, cold seasoned noodles and some things I don't even recognize and just ate period!

My special thanks goes to everyone at MUCHMTV and especially the Publicist and Media relations head who gave me the media credentials that allowed Keminications Media to attend this event. Thank you Jennifer Correlli! See you next year!

F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C FACES AT THE 2008 MMVA'S!!

Captain Rihanna even tried to snatch my pearls as she said she loved them. We could have exchanged them for the hat! LOL!

I partied with Akon at the MMVA afterparty at Circa

Akon even signed KJ's lookalike picture. The Konvster was shocked as he was looking into his childhood mirror! KJ wants to play "Little Akon" in a movie! Akon was so shocked at the resemblance too.

Live Blogging was not an option yesterday as the MMVA Pressroom was the place to be! You couldn't leave and miss the next interview. Despite the thunderstorms and crowds, I have to say this one is THE BEST! The Canadians know how to do it! All the Grammys and Billboards I have attended for my media houses in the States doesn't even come CLOSE! Parties all over the building and more. STAY TUNED AS LATER TODAY ALL THE PHOTOS WILL BE UP!!! Here's a sample!

THE 2008 MMVA IS NOW HISTORY!

I finally met my boy FLO! He was the coolest person I have seen in a long time in this business. I have been asleep for the past 48 hours now and still lost my voice from the MMVA's. I willl be bringing you an exclusive video coverage of the press room question and answer session in a few days or hours depending on when the Tylenol runs out!

Thanks to Tyrone Warner of CTV news who reports that Hedley may have dominated the MuchMusic Video Awards with four big wins, but it was a nostalgiac performance by the New Kids on the Block that stole the show Sunday night. For hardcore fans, it was well worth getting soaked by the early evening rain as NKOTB ran through a medley of their smash hits "Step by Step," "Hangin' Tough," "Please Don't Go Girl," and "You've Got It (The Right Stuff)" before launching into their new single, "Summertime."

But on the awards front, Canadian rockers Hedley were the biggest winners of the night, picking up four of their six nominations, including the night's biggest award, Best Video. "Oh my gosh... we want to thank everybody who works on this so hard," gushed the band's singer Jacob Hoggard, before snapping a picture of himself and his bandmates. Earlier, barefoot and sporting a white headband, Hoggard and his tattooed crew tore through the bouncy "Never Too Late," switching between multiple microphones set up around the stage.

Hoggard placed third on "Canadian Idol" four seasons ago, and the band released its first album in 2005. Hedley also won awards for Best Cinematography, Best Director and Best Rock Video. The MuchMusic Video Awards are unlike any other awards show on television. Instead of podiums and stuffy speeches, the MuchMusic headquarters is transformed into a mulit-stage party that attracts thousands to Queen Street West in downtown Toronto.

The show kicked off this year's show with this summer's defacto jam, "Flo," performed by Flo Rida in a guitar-heavy remix, followed immediately by a high-octane performance from the ever-popular Simple Plan. Hailing from Montreal, Simple Plan won the People's Choice Award for Favourite Canadian Group -- the fifth time they had won the award. "It's simple; we owe it to our fans. They're so amazing and loyal," said singer Pierre Bouvier in the band's acceptance speech.

During a break in the rain, illScarllett took their loud guitars to new heights as they wailed "Nothing Special" on the roof of MuchMusic quarters -- even though they went home empty handed. Hometown hero Kardinal Offishall ensured Canadian hip-hop was well represented at the awards show when he performed his new single "Dangerous" with megastar Akon by his side. Other performers included Sean Kingston, dance crew Jabbawockeez, Girlicious and Rihanna, who took home the award for Best International Video.

Earlier in the night, celebs braved the rain as they arrived in flashy rides to the MMVA red carpet on Toronto's Queen Street West. While Flo Rida preferred a yellow Lamborghini, Offishall rolled up in a TTC bus crammed with girls ready to party.

It wasn't only rock stars at the MMVAs -- celebrities such as Chace Crawford ("Gossip Girl"), Rainn Wilson ("The Office"), blogger Perez Hilton, Kristin Cavallari ("Laguna Beach"), Whitney Port ("The Hills") also appeared at the awards show. Mike Myers even made a special cameo appearance during a skit with comedian Trevor Boris.

FLO-RIDA at the MMVA performing "LOW."

The audio in this video is bad and it's not Flo-Rida's performance as you can see the comments field in this video on YouTube. It looks like it was recorded from a recording! MUCH says KJ can have this humongous bus stop poster after the awards. It does look like we would need a pick up truck for that!

Girlicious rehearsing. They are sexy!

I was myself. No make up and in the raw. I took a shower, no make up or fancy wigs and I went over there to get my media pass a day early. We media folks are told to get there early as it's first come first served basis on the good spots. They will be providing a media room with high speed internet access for us and I hope to be blogging and sending all the pictures LIVE! I visited the rehearsals and the set from 5pm to 1am last night. Several artists were performing. Sean Kingston, Simple Plan Girlicious and Kardinal were among those present.

KJ, my kid correspondent was the star of everyone on the set. The sound engineers to the security just loved him. He fell in love with Lindsay from Thunder Bay and Cheyney at Flow 93.5FM who treated him to a scrumptious Nacho meal followed by a bowl of ice cream sundae and two 7-Ups and a pineapple juice. Everyone tells him his a little cutie Akon and that gets into his head! Unfortunately, Akon did not attend rehearsals last night but I will meet him today in the press room.
