MOS DEF REALLY NEEDS TO BE THE ONE GOING TO SPACE.

Rapper/actor Mos Def will team with Nasa to encourage students to pursue higher education using science and technology this Sunday (September 5th) in Oakland, California.

The rapper will team with famed African-American NASA astronaut Leland Melvin to debut a special holographic presentation at the Chabot Space & Science Center.

"Leland Melvin and myself are working with the Instituting Science in Schools Program, sponsored by NASA and I'm just here to give the young people some inspiration, some positive encouragement and some good information about science, technology, creativity and discovery and how to use math, science and information to make a positive impact and changes on the world around us," Mos Def told AllHipHop.com.

The event is free and open to the public and takes place from 11:00AM - 5:00PM.

I told you a few months that a Canadian woman got on the action too.......One-time stripper Mississauga former stripper Alana Wyatt-Smith, 29, who has a 7-year-old son with Toronto hip-hop artist Saukrates, has penned Breaking the Code of Silence, a memoir examining her 2005 marriage to American MC-turned-actor-Mos Def, three days after they met, as well as encounters with various professional athletes and celebs. dishes about stormy relationship with rapper/actor Mos Def. CANADIANRAMA: Kardinal Denies Link To Mos Def's Ex-Wife, Speaks On Lil' Wayne & Pusha-T Collabo!

Recent rumors had a prominent Canadian rapper (Our own Kardinal) linked to Mos Def’s ex-wife, model-turned-author, Alana Wyatt. Remember I reported her writing that kiss and tell book in my single mama blog! Well, Toronto emcee Kardinal Offishall wants to set the record straight: Wyatt is not his baby’s mother. “No baby mothers,” Kardi explained to XXLMag.com.

"That’s one thing I’ve been really careful about in my career. And it’s not even like a career move, but it’s like to me all that shit is still precious. I don’t need any grief from wifey thinking I got kids from random chicks. I don’t do that random shit too tough. Not to disrespect my boy, but it’s my man Saukretes’ [from Redman’s Gilla House crew] baby moms. It’s not me.”(Kardi is telling the truth! This guy is not into that mess!) Love triangles aside, Kardi found himself caught between two feuding rappers, Lil’ Wayne and The Clipse’s Pusha-T, on his recently released mixtape banger, “Swag.” Despite trading jabs in several interviews, Kardi said the two parties didn’t mind being on the same track. “Pusha did his verse first and Wayne definitely heard Pusha ’cause he put his [verse] on after Pusha,” the Toronto emcee recalled. “That joint is never gonna come out officially, by the way. There’s no beef or nothing like that. “Wayne had a respect for me and Pusha had a certain respect for me as well,” he continued. “I think at the end of the day, the song was too ill and they weren’t really worried about each other being on the joint.

I sent the joint completed to Pusha and [he] was like, ‘This shit [is] crazy.’ He didn’t say nothing to me about, ‘No faggot ass Wayne,’ or this, that, and the next thing.
