BEYONCE KNOWLES kept her April (08) wedding ceremony top secret by refusing to hire caterers - she relied on mum TINA and husband-to-be JAY-Z's grandmother to cook up treats for the guests. The singer feared that the more outsiders that were a part of her big day, the more chance there was that details and photos would be leaked, so she called on family members to help her out.

Tina Knowles tells Giant magazine, "We cooked all the food. I cooked all my Creole stuff, and his grandmother cooked her oxtails. "My favourite part was when we put all of this home cooking on that fancy china. It was special."

Can they all quit talking about this secret wedding we all know happened and just sell it all to People magazine or something! Wonder who cooked the chitlings?

J-HUD IS SET TO MARRY HER NOW FIANCE DAVID OTUNGA!

DREAMGIRLS actress JENNIFER HUDSON is set to marry her boyfriend DAVID OTUNGA, after the reality TV star proposed on Friday night (12Sep08). Otunga popped the question with a Neil Lane-designed diamond ring on Oscar winner Hudson's 27th birthday. Hudson's representative says, "I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in Los Angeles."

BROWN GETS SERIOUS ABOUT MANAGER GIRLFRIEND .

BOBBY BROWN is planning to wed again after confirming he and manager/girlfriend ALICIA ETHEREDGE are an item. Brown was with Etheredge when he reportedly suffered a minor heart attack last year (Oct07) - but it has taken him almost a year to confirm the romance. Now he tells Sister 2 Sister magazine he's mad about Etheredge.

He says, "That one (relationship) is gonna work 'cause I'm gonna make it work." Etheredge has always maintained she and Brown are longtime friends and business partners - but she hopes to be the one when Brown chooses to settle down again. In an interview last year (07), she said, "I think that Bobby is a big romantic and really does believe in love. "His parents are still married after all these years and I think that he will find that again."

PAUL WALL CALLS FOR RAPPERS TO CELEBRATE MARRIED LIFE.

PAUL WALL has urged his married rap peers to be more honest about their status - and celebrate matrimony. The Texas-based rap star, real name Paul Slayton, wed longtime girlfriend Crystal in 2005 after realising she was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with - and he can't understand why more rappers don't make a big deal about married life.
He says, "There are so many (married) people out there that are ashamed of it... specifically rappers. They don't want people to know they're married, because they think it will taint their record sales or girls won't like them.

"I think more women respect me now, knowing that I'm married and I love my wife. "If you don't want people to know you married, you should never got married (sic)." Wall hopes the example set by himself, Will Smith and Snoop Dogg will prompt other rappers to feel proud of their marriages. He tells XXL magazine, "With Snoop, with his (reality) show, Father Hood, that's a great show for hip-hop, because it shows you can still be married, have kids and still be the same you."

Is he talking about Jay-Z and JD or even Nelly and Ashanti whom I hear are already married? He's married to some black chic.

I never knew that I could feel love on another level like this until I met her, and I am now honored to call her my wife.”
