FEUDING PINK FLOYD STARS ACTUALLY TEAM UP FOR CHARITY BENEFIT.

Feuding PINK FLOYD stars DAVID GILMOUR and ROGER WATERS put their differences aside on Saturday (10Jul10) to perform together at a Hoping Foundation awareness benefit in England. The two rockers hit the stage at Kiddington Hall in Oxfordshire, England to the amazement of the 200 guests in attendance. It was the first time the duo had shared a stage since Pink Floyd's Live 8 appearance in 2005.

The former bandmates, who were accompanied by Guy Pratt and Waters' son Harry, among others, played Floyd favourites Wish You Were Here, Comfort ably Numb and Another Brick in the Wall. The event raised over $500,000 for the charity organisation which aids Palestinian kids.

Bobby Brown Takes Vicious Swipe At Whitney Houston.

Bobby Brown has taken a bitter swipe at Whitney Houston, accusing his ex-wife of marrying him to cover up rumors that she is bi-sexual. The faded hip-hop star made his shock accusation in his new tell-all memoir, entitled Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But... In it he says he was nothing more than a pawn in Whitney’s bid to "clean up her image’."

Making his revelations about their turbulent 14–year marriage which ended in 2006, the 40-year-old writes: "[The marriage] was doomed from the very beginning. I think we got married for all the wrong reasons.
"Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married. I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children." At the time they were first married, the media was accusing Houston of having a bi-sexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. ‘
"Since she was the American Sweetheart and all, that didn’t go too well with her image," said Brown.
"In Whitney’s situation, the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation, whether it was true or not."

The excerpt is poor timing for the diva, who is trying to resurrect her once drug-ravaged image with a career comeback. Although she has already enjoyed a number-one album, her comeback hit the rocks after a dizzy performance on British TV Talent show The X Factor. While pefoprming, the 46-year-old’s glittery frock fell apart. "I have sung myself out off my dress," she told a baffled studio audience.

MADONNA DEVASTATED OVER BROTHER'S BOOK.

MADONNA is devastated her brother CHRISTOPHER CICCONE has written a tell-all book about her life, according to the superstar's estranged sibling. The singer was so upset after learning last month (Jun08) her younger brother was to publish the explosive book, Life With My Sister Madonna, that she reached out to her father for comfort. Speaking on U.K. TV show GMTV on Friday (18Jul08), Ciccone revealed: "We do still email but we haven't spoken (since the book was published).

"I did send her an email a week before it came out. She was very upset and expressed it to our dad - but not to me. I did send an email saying 'I love you and I would never do anything to intentionally hurt you'." But the 47-year-old insists he has no regrets over publishing the autobiography: "I had to write it. No matter how you look at it, it's about me and my perspective. I don't consider it a betrayal at all. It's an honourable representation of our lives... I hope we can be friends again."

Meanwhile MADONNA's marriage to GUY RITCHIE is in trouble, according to the singer's brother. The superstar and her filmmaker partner have been plagued by rumours they are on the verge of a split - despite the singer issuing a statement dismissing speculation about a possible divorce. But in an interview on U.K. TV show GMTV on Friday (18Jul08), Ciccone admitted the couple's relationship has deteriorated over the years. He says, "I don't know for sure one way or the other if their relationship is good but I do know things are not as good as they could be.

"Her career continues to glide up, whereas Guy's has gotten a little bit stale. They're two ambitious and creative people and on some level are competing. And although Ciccone has blamed Ritchie in the past, he empathises with the director: "Being married to her can't possibly be easy. I know what it's like living with her, growing up with her. It's next to impossible and I wouldn't do it."
