ALEXIS ON FIRE ANNOUNCES FINAL FAREWELL TOUR.

The Canadian Press reports that a year after a rocky breakup, Alexisonfire has announced plans for a farewell tour.

The Juno Award-winning post-hardcore rockers from St. Catharines, Ont., will launch the reunion trek at London's 02 Academy on Dec. 3, according to a graphic posted to the group's official website.

From there, the group will play two shows in Australia before hitting Canada for gigs in Edmonton, Calgary and Montreal.

The tour will wrap with a pair of dates at Toronto's Sound Academy on Dec. 26 and 27.

The quintet announced their split last August in a blog post, in which singer George Pettit said the breakup was necessary but "not really" amicable.

He added that fellow singer Dallas Green had informed the rest of the group that he wanted to focus on his Juno-winning City and Colour solo project, and the band decided to dissolve soon afterward.

A rep for Alexisonfire confirmed recently that the band's full lineup was expected to take part in the reunion.

The White Stripes would like to announce that today, February 2nd, 2011,
their band has officially ended and will make no further new recordings or perform live.

The reason is not due to artistic differences or lack of wanting to continue, nor any
health issues as both Meg and Jack are feeling fine and in good health.

It is for a myriad of reasons, but mostly to preserve What is beautiful and special about
the band and have it stay that way.

Meg and Jack want to thank every one of their fans and admirers for the incredible
support they have given throughout the 13 plus years of the White Stripes’ intense and
incredible career.

Third Man Records will continue to put out unreleased live and studio recordings from
The White Stripes in their Vault Subscription record club, as well as through regular
channels.

Both Meg and Jack hope this decision isn’t met with sorrow by their fans but that it is
seen as a positive move done out of respect for the art and music that the band has
created. It is also done with the utmost respect to those fans who’ve shared in those
creations, with their feelings considered greatly.

With that in mind the band have this to say:

“The White Stripes do not belong to Meg and Jack anymore. The White Stripes belong
to you now and you can do with it whatever you want. The beauty of art and music is
that it can last forever if people want it to. Thank you for sharing this experience. Your
involvement will never be lost on us and we are truly grateful.”

Hip-Hop Crunch is telling us that a source to The New York Daily News Tuesday: “While promoting Shrek Forever After, Eddie talked a lot about his kids. Ever since, he’s been making efforts with Mel to get to know their daughter….”

Eddie’s ex, Nicole Mitchell, has reportedly been instrumental in the family reunion of sorts.

“Eddie’s ex-wife Nicole helped them reconcile their issues, too. Angel is Eddie’s youngest child, and Nicole wanted her children to know her. That helped Eddie to come around and get past all the animosity he had toward Mel. All of the children were there for the party, and it appeared that they’re one big happy, blended family.”

The comedian reported invited Mel, Angel, and Mel’s husband Stephen Belafonte to a party at his Los Angeles compound last week.

NIKKI SIXX AND KAT VON D BREAK UP!!

MOTLEY CRUE rocker NIKKI SIXX has ended his romance with TV tattoo artist KAT VON D. The pair began dating in 2007, following Von D's divorce from fellow tattooist Oliver Peck. But Sixx has released a statement announcing the love affair is over. He says, "I want to wish Katherine (Kat Von D) nothing but the best in her life.

Liam Gallagher Breaks Silence: Oasis Are Dead!

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has broken his silence and told the world: Oasis are dead.

"Oasis is no longer. I think we all know that. So that's done," he said.

Well, der.

Liam's older brother guitarist Noel said the same thing over a month ago when he quit the band for good, saying: "I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

Still, Liam wanted the final word.

"It's a shame, but that's life. We had a good run at it. The thing about Oasis is, no one...we ended Oasis. No one ended it for us. Which was pretty, kind of...cool," he said.

And plans for the future? The singer is launching a range of clothes called Pretty Green, but his heart is still in music.

"I'll be doing music to the day I die," said Liam.

Phish announce summer tour dates five years after breaking up.

The Phish reunion is in full swing: The band just announced plans for a summer tour.

Phish disbanded five years ago with a grand goodbye concert in their home state of Vermont, but announced last fall that they were getting back together for a trio of concerts starting March 6.

On Thursday, the jam band said they would kick off a summer tour on New York's Long Island on June 4.

Phish - a quartet of Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman - got its start in 1983. Their improvisational style and mix of different genres made them an enormously successful touring group with a cultlike following. They decided to call it quits in 2004 after fatigue and personal problems took a toll.

KATY PERRY DUMPS TRAVIS MCCOY!

Katy Perry has split from her boyfriend Travis McCoy. The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer - who had been dating the Gym Class Heroes frontman for two years - has ended their relationship after months of troubles. A source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "It's sad, but they were fighting a lot in recent months because they never saw each other. "When somebody becomes very famous very quickly their relationship usually suffers. She's going through such a huge time at the moment so needs to be on her own."

Devastated Travis - who has previously claimed his relationship with Katy brought him back from the brink during a self-destructive time in his life - has been posting lyrics by hip-hop act Main Source on his on his personal blog to express his upset. They read: "We fight every night, now that's not kosher. I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer." He adds: "My laptop is my new b***h, LOYAL, LISTENS, and NEVER LETS ME DOWN!"

BEYONCE KNOWLES OPENS UP ABOUT DESTINY'S CHILD SPLIT.

Superstar BEYONCE KNOWLES has opened up about the controversial split of the original members of pop group DESTINY'S CHILD, insisting she's not to blame for the break-up. The singer came under fire in 1999 when LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson left the group and filed suit against the group's manager and Knowles' father, Matthew, claiming favouritism. But the singer insists she was any easy target to blame for their departure before she and bandmate Kelly Rowland rose to superstardom with new member Michelle Williams. She says,

"It was definitely difficult because I was so young and my father was my manager and the group was like family. I felt like, what are we gonna do? We weren't making any money yet. "I was the lead singer, so I got the blame... That was the first time I had to deal with rumours and people attacking me. I was an 18-year-old kid, so I didn't understand it was just a part of this life and it wasn't personal. I didn't have a thick skin yet. I was so embarrassed and wanted to defend myself and please everybody."

The Destiny's Child trio eventually parted ways in 2005. Meanwhile, KNOWLES has discovered how to keep the peace with her manager/father MATTHEW KNOWLES - they've banned business-talk over the dinner table. The 27-year-old singer has been advised by her dear dad since before her rise to fame with pop group Destiny's Child - formed in 1990.

And she admits it's taken time and patience on both ends to find balance in their relationship.
She says, "My father and I had a tougher time years ago. But there's been a gradual transition, a power struggle. I've never had a problem standing up to my father when it's come to my business. He taught me the importance of business...

"It's difficult because I started out young. And when I was 21, I was still the baby to him. So we'd fight. But after a few years of that, it got better, and now we have rules. Like, when we're having family functions like Christmas or birthdays, we're not allowed to talk about business."

YAWN! Simon Cowell Splits with Girlfriend!

Simon Cowell and longtime girlfriend Terri Seymour have split, Cowell's rep confirms to PEOPLE.

"Terri phoned Simon and finished it in September, about six weeks ago," says Cowell's rep, Max Clifford. "They are going to remain close friends. Simon thinks the world of Terri and that isn't going to change. He also understands her reason for ending it."

The couple were together for six years. Seymour, 34, first met Cowell, 48, when she was 18, but the couple didn't begin dating until she interviewed him for a show in 2002.

"In the past Terri has said that she wants kids but that just isn't Simon," added Clifford. "Nobody else is involved, certainly not on Simon's side." The split was first reported by the UK's Daily Mirror.
