WHO CARES WHAT BEYONCE AND JAY-Z WERE PAID FOR A CONCERT 7 YEARS AGO?

Jay-Z and Beyonce in Nigeria 2006
Sahara Reporters has uncovered a document indicating that a million dollars of Bayelsa State’s poverty alleviation fund was spent by then Governor Goodluck Jonathan on bringing American entertainers Beyonce and Jay Z to Nigeria in 2006.

In a letter stamped and signed by Bayelsa officials, N150 million (approximately a million dollars in 2006) was released from the state’s poverty alleviation fund for the first ThisDay Music Festival in Lagos.

The document came to light after a controversy was ignited over how much money American “reality TV” star Kim Kardashian was paid for a brief visit to Nigeria.

Ms. Kardashian, star of a US TV show about her idle rich family and who shot to international fame after a sex tape featuring her and her rapper boyfriend went viral, was reportedly paid half a million dollars for the 24-hour-visit last week.

Does anyone really care 7 years later? Can we not get Bey and Jay in the Nigerian beefs that is going to cost Nigerian fans the next concert? 50 Cent got N1Million too and so what if Kim got $500,000? Nigerians wanna see these stars and mingle with them. Just look at what ME and my pals Perez Hilton and Necole Bitchie became just starting as bloggers. You brand yourself, you become an item and they start talking about you. #SMH and fuckery

BEYONCE DOES A TRIBUTE TO WHITNEY HOUSTON ON CONCERT COME BACK

Live at Revel Ovation Hall 5-25-12, Beyonce came back to the stage. The way she merged "I will always love you" with "Halo" just tells you that this woman is the BEST performer on the GLOBE. Beyonce rocks! She's gained that baby weight back again or it's my eyes tricking me?

Jay-Z made it clear on a tweet earlier today on what we already know. Bey, pls!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come back to Canada.

The last official time was the 2007 House of Dereon launch and concert. That was the concert where I was in line with another concert goer who was an actor on the show Degrassi. We were in that long ass line at the Molson Amphitheater. That will be Drake. Two years later Beyonce was rumored to be backstage at that 2010 Drake concert where he brought out Jay-Z--MsKemi

His fellow Canadian and protégé Carly Rae Jepsen will open the 46-date North American tour, with other guests to be announced soon. Wednesday morning, Bieber tweeted a link to the dates ( via MTV) and then wrote, "yes... @carlyraejepsen is coming on the #BELIEVEtour !! my other special guest is.....you will have to wait and see (sic)."

Earlier this month, the 18-year-old pop star's manager, Scooter Braun, tweeted a hint about the upcoming tour. The arena tour hits 44 U.S. and Canadian cities over a span of four months, wrapping in Florida on Jan. 26. Bieber's sophomore album "Believe" drops over the summer, on June 19. "Boyfriend," his first new single, has sold 1.98 million downloads to date, while his Mother's Day charity single, "Turn to You," has sold 102,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan. Over the weekend, Bieber performed "Boyfriend," at the Billboard Music Awards and won the fan vote for Most Exhilarating Performance. Watch below and then check out the tour dates to see if the Biebs will be stopping by your city.

TWO BOSSES IN TORONTO LAST NIGHT!

It's quite rare but Bruce Springsteen and Rick Ross were both in Toronto last night for concerts.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band opened their sole Canadian tour date tonight with a rousing performance of the 1978 hit "Badlands" at the Air Canada Centre.

The 59-year-old was backed onstage by eight players, including longtime E Street bandmates Clarence Clemons on sax, Steven Van Zandt on guitar and Max Weinberg on drums.

Springsteen is currently touring in support of "Working on a Dream," his 16th studio album.

Max a good friend of mine too and also plays drums for Conan O'Brien's show. Here we are at a 2003 gala.

Phish announce summer tour dates five years after breaking up.

http://www.wuftfm.org/pubaff/Specials/pictures&graphics/phish.jpg
The Phish reunion is in full swing: The band just announced plans for a summer tour.

Phish disbanded five years ago with a grand goodbye concert in their home state of Vermont, but announced last fall that they were getting back together for a trio of concerts starting March 6.

On Thursday, the jam band said they would kick off a summer tour on New York's Long Island on June 4.

Phish - a quartet of Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman - got its start in 1983. Their improvisational style and mix of different genres made them an enormously successful touring group with a cultlike following. They decided to call it quits in 2004 after fatigue and personal problems took a toll.

There is an effing recession out there. Take what you can get! What the....Phish?

JAY-Z TO TEAM UP WITH LIVE NATION FOR INAUGURAL CONCERT.

Rapper JAY-Z is set to team up with concert promoter Live Nation to play a special one-off concert to celebrate U.S. President-elect BARACK OBAMA's inauguration into the White House. The 99 Problems hitmaker has announced plans for an "intimate performance" in Washington, D.C. on 19 January (09) - the day before the Democrat is sworn into office. Jay-Z will take to the stage at the city's 1,847-capacity Warner Theater, where he will perform with a full band.

And the star has vowed to play the set, entitled 'In Concert on the Eve of Change', for his fans - tickets will be open to the public on Friday (09Jan09). The hip-hop icon was a staunch supporter of the politician throughout his historic election, frequently showing video images of Obama throughout his Heart of the City tour with Mary J. Blige. And Jay-Z won't be the only star performing in celebration of Obama's inauguration - Rihanna, Sting and Kanye West are all reportedly playing gigs on the eve of 20 January (09).

So many of those concerts, it's getting ridiculous. I just wanna know who's singing in the White House. Trivia: Did you know I attended the 2001 inaugural ball for President Bush? Condoleeza Rice invited KJ the Kid Reporter's father and I tagged along as the guest. Condi and KJ's papa were college classmates. Didn't see my Top 10 of who should sing, click above.

Thanks to Motley Crue's marketing gal Jessi at Sneak Attack Media. Jesse you know Nikki Sixx owes me that phone interview. That better be my Xmas/New Years present! Didn't see my coverage of the guys on Larry King live? Check it out below dahlin readers.........Trust me, I'm gonna shake one of these guys out of Jesse for my owed phoner!!!

ORIGINALLY POSTED JUNE 20th 2008

As CNN's graphic described them as "still raunchy still rockin." The band came to tell all about their latest album, tour and more. The heavy metal fest is next weekend in Montreal and they will be performing too. Meanwhile Larry asked questions about everything you wanna know except the Pamela Anderson one with Tommy getting back with Tommy Lee. This show was all professional arena based. Asked what was the weirdest any of them ever did, they said Tommy did not have a shower for 30 days! Ewww! Can you imagine the stinky tatoos? Also when the viewers Larry cam was put in motion, one viewer even asked them about same sex marriages.

Another viewer asked Vince if he still plans to beat up Axl Rose of Guns and Roses? He replied that was 20 years ago.

Another asked Tommy about the "breast cam " they use in concerts. I guess that one has to do with the ladies flashing? Tommy answered......O yes! We still use the "titty cams!" The whole show was funny as they even took Larry to their studio to play those loud guitars and Tommy's drum. Larry has had Snoop Dogg, Motley Crue and now he needs 50 Cent on the show to ask all the questions we are all asking. Great show!

So Jesse, you owe me Vince, Nikki, Tommy....any of the guys for my Xmas gift phoner.

JACKSON TOUR NOT HAPPENING WITH MICHAEL !!!!.

LATEST: MICHAEL JACKSON has ruled out a family tour, despite brother JERMAINE's promise to fans that the entire clan is set to hit the road together. Jermaine teased fans last month when he stated Michael, his brothers and sister Janet would record a new album together and tour in 2009 to revive the family's flagging fortunes.

But the Beat It singer has slammed the reports, insisting there are no plans to reunite the Jackson 5 or any other family group. In a statement, Jackson says, "My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we've certainly shared many great experiences, but, at this time, I have no plans to record or tour with them. "I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon."

IS DUFF'S BAND GONNA TOUR WITH GIRLS ALOUD?

http://www.juhaseila.com/Velvet%20Revolver/slides/Jk20040810_221759.jpg

Former GUNS N' ROSES star DUFF McKAGAN is a massive fan of British pop band GIRLS ALOUD - and has offered to support the group on an upcoming tour. The rocker, who now plays bass for Velvet Revolver and sings in his own band Loaded, recently admitted to being a follower of the Biology hitmakers and even got in touch with the girls to offer his backing.

Bandmember Cheryl Cole admits she was shocked to hear from McKagan - but was flattered when he told her the five-piece could use his band on their next string of live dates. She tells Attitude magazine, "He offered to give us his band to take with us on tour. I mean Guns N' Roses? What's going on?"

Maxwell's smart show in Toronto.

http://z.about.com/d/randb/1/5/Y/5/-/-/Maxwell.jpg

The Toronto Sun reporter Jane Stevenson reports that the 35-year-old Brooklyn native, on his first tour in six years, touched down at Massey Hall on Sunday night and the charismatic singer-songwriter was greeted by swooning females and barking males during a sexy, souful and smooth hour-and-20-minute set.

Maxwell has described the trek as a "pre-party tour celebration" for the forthcoming Black Summers' Night, a trilogy of new albums he expects to release over the next three years as the followup to his last studio record, 2001's Now.

The first installment, titled Black, was represented on Sunday night by two strong songs, Pretty Wings and Bad Habits, which had the crowd in the palm of his hand. Sun Rating: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars Read the rest...

MCCARTNEY PLAYS FOR 40,000 IN TEL AVIV, ISRAEL.

More than 40,000 music fans turned SIR PAUL McCARTNEY's first show in Israel into a huge celebration on Thursday night (25Sep08). The former Beatle greeted the audience in Hebrew before performing at a peace concert in Tel Aviv - four decades after the Fab Four were banned from the country.

The Friendship First concert featured 31 hits from McCartney's music career, including Beatles songs, Wings hits and solo tunes. The Brit also performed late Beatles bandmate John Lennon's Give Peace A Chance. He finished the set with Fab Four favourites Yesterday and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Guess the suicide bombers gave up on their mission cos I heard that they had Israeli commandos working security at that gig! Glad everyone was safe!

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK CONCERT WENT DOWN GREAT LAST NITE I HEAR!

Ashante Infantry of the Toronto Star reports that......"Nobody does cool better than Donnie Wahlberg, with his working-class Boston sensibility and ever-present baseball cap; but there he was on the opening night of New Kids on the Block's reunion tour acting like an insecure lover.

"I can't hear you, Toronto. I don't know who feels better: you or me? I look good, too? Toronto, how you feeling?" queried the quintet's spokesperson, again and again during the first half of the concert.

Asked every which way but straight on, what he really wanted to know from the audience was: Do you still love us? Did we do good? Are you getting your $39.50-$75 worth?

Yes. Yes. A resounding yes!

After a 14-year hiatus, the boys are back in fine form, straddling the line between the puppy love pushers they used be, and the damn near 40-year-old-men they've become.

The two-hour show was more sedate than their raunchy new album, The Block, augured. There was no grinding on the four female dancers; only one choreographed crotch grab; and Joey McIntyre didn't seem to know what to do with the black bra that was tossed at him (he threw it back into the crowd). Read the rest.....

Jason McNeil of the Toronto Sun gave the concert 2.5 stars!
