Toronto, ON (September 22, 2009) – Wanted: A fresh, young Canadian face for the coolest job in media that can give MuchMusic fans a dose of everything they crave. Must love: Music, pop culture, and getting close to celebrities. Job description: Interviewing the best bands in the business, meeting fans, travelling across the country, and being able to work efficiently in an environment with extremely high decibel levels (screaming fans, loud bands, etc.) at the iconic MuchMusic HQ. Experience: Not Necessary. Sound interesting? Hell yeah, it does! Applicants can go to muchmusic.com until Monday, Sept. 28 to apply to be the next MuchMusic VJ.

VJ applicants can post a profile on muchmusic.com where they are encouraged to make it their own by posting pictures, YouTube videos, Facebook, and Twitter profiles. Showing personal style, interests, opinions on up-and-coming bands, trends, movies and more is what makes trendsetting hopefuls’ profiles shine. Individuality is essential! And as with everything MuchMusic does, fans are at the centre of the action by rating all VJ submissions at muchmusic.com.
On October 13, MuchMusic announces 16 VJ hopeful semi-finalists who begin a series of interactive and online challenges at muchmusic.com to prove they have what it takes. MuchMusic fans are back in the mix helping trim the search even further. Fans can continue to rate just how hot and cool the 16 semi-finalists are to help MuchMusic find the final four. These four finalists are announced in late November.
