The MTV Video Music Awards Nominees have been announced.

The Moonmen will be handed out Sept. 6 at L.A.’s Staples Center, airing live on MuchMusic. Alicia Keys and One Direction are the first confirmed performers. Also most importantly most of those moon men may be dropping into Canadian hands as several Canadian were on lockdown in the nominee list. Drake, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen and even KNAAN and Nelly made the list. As always, I highlight who I predict will win. Tune in on MUCH Sept 6th 2012.

Normally I work all award press rooms but could not make the VMA's this year because of TIFF. The Toronto International Film Fest. With Oprah, Gayle, Mariah and Snoop in town, it was a clash. I contacted an MTV executive who told me it was a media stunt. Fantastic PR Stunt!!! During the awards, I spoke to this Executive at MTV Networks who told me that Kanye always makes a fool of himself yearly at the VMA's ......BUT THIS ONE WAS A PUBLICITY STUNT! TAYLOR WAS ON IT BUT NOT....BEYONCE. Taylor got her word out happy that she got one of these. Watch Taylor's new album, it will probably be with Yeezy. She's already worked with T-Pain. Tommorrow all the white kids are snagging Taylor's album. The sympathy factor!! Did you see anyone black girl in that subway dance?

BUT Taylor FORGOT TO THANK BEYONCE AND MTV WHICH MEANS my source at MTV WAS RIGHT BEYONCE WAS NOT IN IT.....WELL PLANNED STUNT. HOST RUSSELL BRAND RECEIVED DEATH THREAT AFTER MTV AWARDS.

British comedian RUSSELL BRAND received a death threat after ridiculing U.S. president GEORGE W. BUSH at last month's (Sep08) MTV Video Music Awards. The comic came under fire from angry TV viewers after branding the president a "retard" during the Hollywood ceremony.

He tells Britain's Radio 1, "(Hosting the awards) was a lot of fun, especially the death threat. "If you are going to kill someone, don't give them advance notice, that gives you a chance to prepare. "How can you, while watching the telly, think 'Oh, I don't enjoy this. No, I'm not enjoying this at all. Right, I'm going to kill him'. That's a huge jump."

These are some awful brand of British comedy that landed on MTV USA on the VMA's by British Host Russell Brand. He says he's famous in England.

I never hated her. Many did and never supported her during the terrible 2007 meltdown but I believed in Britney. She slowly moved up there and regained herself. Did you see how she and K-Fed hugged and kissed when she got the Video Of The Year award?

Brit snagged the Best Female video, Best Pop female and Video of the Year! She thanked God, her "beautiful" family and of course we the fans. Brit is the one to cover all the magazines this week. L'il Wayne did a bad ass show with T-Pain starting with Leona Lewis and another one with Kid Rock. Weezy's "Lollipop" won for best hip-hop video. Something that surprised me was that he didn't say any tributes to his friend and producer who co-made the video, the late Static Major.
