Was MTN FINED TRILLIONS because #Biafran Engineer David Nwawuisi installed transmitters? #MadamKOOBiafra

David Nwawuisi is locked up with Nnamdi Kanu. Why isn't the government telling us the real reason behind the MTN fine? It doesn't appear to be unregistered SIM cards. Buhari has encouraged investigative journalism and sources tell me it's because of this. I was the first one who alerted you to the closure of MTN kiosks and offices and data, phone etc was all down in July 2015. MTN even tweeted it. CJ my Enugu based personal Assistance had someone text me that morning. Coincidentally that is when they discovered Radio Biafra transmitters on the masts and the NCC busted MTN.

Was it illegal for the Erricsson Engineer to do that? The entire comany shut down, CEO in South Africa and Nigeria all forced out? Fines in the trillions as heavy as the masts themselves. Is it illegal for transmitters to be brought into the country as Buhari said? Popular Internet station based in Osun, Tiwa radio and many local stations broadcast on the internet and use US and UK transmitters. I've been in radio 21 years and know those rules. Does that apply to the NBC who doesn't regulate Internet radio. Yes, internet radio is not regulated in Nigeria.

Below is the story Copyright Punch newspapers Nigeria

A telecommunication maintenance engineer, David Nwawuisi, has revealed that he got an initial payment of N150,000 to install a Radio Biafra transmitter on an MTN mast in Ngwo, Enugu State.

The 29-year-old, who was on the payroll of Ericsson, the firm managing mast sites for MTN, revealed this in a statement which he made to the Department of State Services on July 27, 2015.

Nwawuisi, who disclosed that he was managing 45 MTN sites for Ericsson, said the Radio Biafra transmitter had operated for three months on MTN mast before it was discovered and his subsequent arrest by the DSS on July 15, 2015.

Nwawuisi, who obtained a B.Sc degree in Biochemistry from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology in 2010, said he was being paid N73,000 plus per month by Ericsson.

He stated that it was the same amount he was being paid as a trainee when he joined the company as a trainee in 2014.

He narrated how he was contacted by one Chidiebere Onwudiwe, whom the Federal Government said was at large, and one Obioma, to seal the deal for the installation of the transmitter at the mast site.

Nwawuisi stated, “I came to know about Chidiebere and Obioma one day the security woman called me to tell me that that they will like to install a radio ( transmitter) on one of my sites at Ngwo in Enugu State and I told them that I don’t know who they are that if they can make out time so that we can see face to face because I don’t know them and that was in May.

“So the next day, they called me. I was working in one of my sites at St. Michael Catholic Church Asata in Enugu State. I asked them to come down to that site and that was the place I saw them for the first time and they introduced themselves as Chidiebere and Obioma. They also asked for my name and I said David. They also asked for my native name and I said Chukwugozie and from there Chidiebere started saying that the radio (transmitter) they are asking for my permission to install in my site is to help them educate our people (Igbo) and let them know their brothers and where they come from….

“They called me again to remind me of that and that was when I told them ok and we agreed that they are going to be paying N25,000 only per month which they paid six months upfront. N75,000 cash was given to me that day they came for the installation and out of that I gave N5,000 to the security woman. The balance was paid into my account at Ecobank after the First Bank (account) I gave to Obioma failed to accept the payment.

“The payment of the balance was done two weeks after the installation of the radio (transmitter). On three different occasions, Chidiebere and Obioma called me to do some maintenance on the radio (transmitter). I gave them access into the site and left and when they finished, the security woman informed me that they are through and I came and locked the site.

“The items Chidiebere came (with) were an electronic that looks like a decoder and a DSTV dish which was installed on the fence. The other items were installed inside the MTN site shelter. The equipment has been there for three months and on July 15 the MTN staff went to the site and called me from the site and asked me what the equipment is. The name of the MTN staff is Mr. John Ibekwe. When he was calling, I couldn’t get what he was asking due to the environment because I was driving and when I parked, I called the security woman to ask her and she told me that is the equipment that Chidiebere and Obioma installed that his asking of.

“I called back the MTN man to tell him what the equipment is for, that is a Radio Biafra (transmitter) that was installed by Chidiebere and Obioma. I told him that I will like to see him which he asked be to come to Shoprite and I came and after I was taken to the MTN office by the MTN security patrol team. From the office, after telling them how the equipment came about and how I got to know about Chidiebere, I was taken to Enugu DSS office.” (sic)

He stated that the MTN thereafter uninstalled the Radio Biafra transmitter.

He added that the last time he spoke with Chidiebere on the telephone was when he was at the DSS office in Enugu.

The Federal Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr. Mohammed Diri, who signed the fresh charges, the case summary and other processes accompanying them on behalf of the government, alleged that Nwawuisi agreed to install the transmitters “and did install IPOB radio transmitters on MTN masts for a consideration.”

The prosecution alleged that the transmitters were smuggled into Nigeria by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, and were discovered during a search in Madubugwu’s residence.

The Federal Government had charged Nwawuisi and Benjamin Madubugwu along with the founder of Radio Biafra and Kanu, with treason and other related offences including management and assisting in the management of an unlawful society (IPOB).

The accused persons were charged with six counts before the Federal High Court in Abuja but have yet to be arraigned.

Why I ANGRILY CAUTIONED #Biafra Advocates on #SocialMedia-- #MadamKOO

I have rebranded my page and will be very silent as from now on working in the background. To all the Yorubas and Igbos tribalists alike who attacked me last night, some calling me fake as Nnamdi Kanu told u not to trust Yorubas, and to the yorubas attacking me of breaking up Nigeria, u just don't know how powerful I am on the globe. I'm not going to prove that to you. I know about activism. It is not learned. It is something you were born to do. Today, all the political types are reading Punch the most widely read and #1 daily in Nigeria on their desks and some of you continued to call Punch brown envelope journalists. I have a President who has tampered with the judiciary and you sit there calling him a pedophile because Nnamdi said so? Is that your priority to get heard by a former dictator?

Buhari just appointed a political adviser Babafemi Ojudu, a yoruba man easily accessible who may be able to change his mind on at least exploring a referendum at a strategic time like this and all I hear is he "raped Aisha at 9". Who cares about the age difference? Anenih is almost 83 and married to a 26yo. Can you not focus on the bigger picture? I have never reached out to BIM or IPOB or Radio Biafra who may not even know their rights but they watch and share all I'm doing. This is strategic teamwork. This is NOT Ojukwu's era. I warned u to stop chanting Biafra or Death (Nnamdi said that one too) Now I've lost 15 already. It's Biafra or nothing and nothing means Buhari begins solid non marginalization of Igbo youth like they all did Niger Delta youth.

I've been in radio 21 years and know those rules. Does that apply to the NBC who doesn't regulate Internet radio. I will be quietly researching it. Some of you saying that Buhari has paid me to tell u not to call him a pedophile. I have never met Buhari and have nothing to do with his administration but to make sure voices are heard. What if Nnamdi Kanu was a Hausa or Yoruba British who came in with transmitters for a separatist state. Wake up Nigeria, Catalonia is getting ready to separate from Spain. Always Focus on the bigger picture. Keep calling Muhammadu Buhari names. I do not play with ppl calling me Ashewo or prostitute bcos they have no evidence of me selling my body. I viciously attack such ppl on social media. If you want to use it as an abusive one, pick another word. Don't slander anyone on my page. Did Presidential Spokesperson Femi Adesina Collect N50M from Dasuki handout? #Dasukigate

Today NG reports that Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, on Wednesday reacted to the allegations made against him by Chairman and editor-in-chief of Thisday newspaper, Nduka Obaigbena over the collection of N50m from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Dasuki Sambo.

But Adesina said the guild of Editors will be in the best position to respond to Obaigbena’s claim.

“Please direct all questions to the Nigerian Guild of Editors. But I believe the body will soon issue a statement on what actually transpired” he said. Obaigbena, who is also the President of the Newspapers Propriators Association of Nigeria (NPAN) had on Monday revealed that the Nigerian Guild of Editors collected N50 million from the Office of the National Security Adviser, in a further widening of the arms purchase scandal.

Since the revelation was made, some Nigerians have been demanding the resignation and interrogation of Adesina, who was the president of the Guild when the payment was allegedly made.

UPDATE: The President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Garba Deen Muhammad, has denied that his predecessor, now the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media, Femi Adesina, collected N50 million in cash from former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Mohammad said the amount was the contribution of the former president at the N850 million fundraising dinner on April 10, 2014 for the building of a befitting secretariat to be known as the Editors’ Plaza.

In a statement made available to THISDAY wednesday, Mohammad said: “On 10 April, 2014, the NGE held a fundraising dinner at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, to raise N850million for the purpose of building a befitting secretariat in Abuja which shall be called The Editors Plaza. It was a public event, attended by several dignitaries among them federal cabinet ministers, state governors and captains of industry or their representatives.

“Former President Goodluck Jonathan was invited to the event at which he was represented by the former Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr. Labaran Maku.

“At the event, Maku, among other donors, publicly pledged N50million as the federal government’s contribution towards the building project. Indeed the announcement of this donation has been on the website of the NGE since April 12, 2014; and is still there for those who may wish to verify.”

According to the statement, shortly after the event, the federal government redeemed its pledge through a transfer direct into the Zenith Bank account of the NGE.

“For the avoidance of doubt, neither Mr. Femi Adesina, who was the President of the guild at the time, nor any other official of the guild collected cash from the government.”

What #ChristineLagarde told #Nigeria's President #Buhari? #IMF #HNNMoney #HNNGov

There have been several calls for Nigeria to take very tough economic decisions like increasing the Value Added Tax, removal of fuel subsidy, devaluation of the Naira and reduction in the cost of governance. The IMF Managing Director, Christine Lagarde, also echoed the same. Are all of the these measures not putting more burden on the poor than the rich? Who should be making more sacrifices: the poor or the ruling class? Can you imagine this was Splash FM's status on Facebook. It's no longer the poor or rich class anymore. RULING CLASS?

Germany shocked by Cologne New Year gang assaults on women #HNNImpact

The mayor of Cologne has summoned police for crisis talks after about 80 women reported sexual assaults and muggings by men on New Year's Eve.

The scale of the attacks on women at the city's central railway station has shocked Germany. About 1,000 drunk and aggressive young men were involved.

City police chief Wolfgang Albers called it "a completely new dimension of crime". The men were of Arab or North African appearance, he said.

Women were also targeted in Hamburg.

But the Cologne assaults - near the city's iconic cathedral - were the most serious, German media report. At least one woman was raped, and many were groped.

Most of the crimes reported to police were robberies. A volunteer policewoman was among those sexually molested. Many women will not tell if they were raped or sexually assaulted in other ways serious. It is very traumatic. I went through a similar case in Lagos at 13yo and for that reason I never visit Lagos but once a year, have no business connections or affiliation with that city.

Iran accuses Saudi Arabia of Yemen embassy air strike #HNNTerror

Iran has accused Saudi Arabia of an air strike on its embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa amid rising tensions between the two countries.

Tehran's foreign ministry said on Thursday that Saudi jets "deliberately" struck Iran's embassy in Yemen in an air raid that injured staff.

"This deliberate action by Saudi Arabia is a violation of all international conventions that protect diplomatic missions," foreign ministry spokesman Hossein Jaber Ansari was quoted as saying by state television.

"The Saudi government is responsible for the damage caused and for the situation of members of staff who were injured," Ansari added, without specifying when the alleged strike took place.

The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen will investigate Iran's accusation, said coalition spokesman Brigadier General Ahmed Asseri said, according to a Reuters news agency report.

Asseri said coalition jets carried out heavy strikes in Sanaa on Wednesday night targeting missile launchers used by Houthi fighters against Saudi Arabia.

He added that Houthis had used civilian facilities, including abandoned embassies.

Asseri said the coalition had requested all countries to supply it with coordinates of the location of their diplomatic missions and that accusations made on the basis of information provided by the Houthis "have no credibility".

Why Rapper Olamide Fans are Apologizing to me on Instagram for being DISRESPECTFUL #HNNMusic

As said earlier, Olamide fans are mostly core illiterates from the streets. Many of them are also Yoruba, the Western Nigerian tribe I'm from. Olamide raps in his language. Most cannot read or write proper English and my video basically explained the music business to them and what #RIP meant in the music industry. Nobody is wishing the artist death but I was wishing his career DEATH because of his stand on female artists. They can't even spell Don Jazzy's name the mega producer Olamide cursed on stage at the Headies awards. After watching the #MadamKOOLIVE video on my Facebook page, They started apologizing, begging to be mentored in their music career and more.

#Facebook Posts are getting people TWO YEARS IN PRISON in #Jordan #HNNTech #HNNImpact

(Amman) – Jordan’s State Security Court on December 7, 2015, sentenced a Jordanian professor to two years in prison for critical social media comments.

The court convicted Iyad Qunaibi, 39, an Islamist activist, under a terrorism charge based solely on a Facebook post in which he criticized what he perceived as un-Islamic developments in Jordan. The Facebook post did not advocate violence.

“Jordan’s claims that it respects free expression aren’t credible when an innocuous Facebook post can land someone in jail for two years,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East director. “Jordanian authorities should halt prosecutions for peaceful speech and ensure that the country does not backslide on basic rights.”

The ruling signals a harsher approach by Jordanian authorities toward speech-related crimes, Human Rights Watch said. Earlier in 2015, the same court sentenced a prominent Muslim Brotherhood figure, Zaki Bani Irsheid, to 18 months in prison for a Facebook post in which he criticized the United Arab Emirates. Reuters said at the time that he was the highest-profile political figure to be imprisoned in Jordan since 1995.

Jordanian police arrested Qunaibi, a pharmacologist and professor at Jordan’s Applied Sciences Private University, on June 15, 2015, after he wrote a Facebook post on June 10, “Jordan Heading toward the Abyss.”

The State Security Court charge sheet, which authorities did not distribute to Qunaibi’s family members until August 16, indicated that prosecutors had charged him with “undermining the political regime in the kingdom or inciting opposition to it” under article 149 of Jordan’s penal code, which the law defines as a terrorism charge.

The charge sheet cited, as its sole evidence, sections from the Facebook post, including, “[In Jordan] bearded [i.e. religious] men and women who wear head scarfs are arrested and thrown to the floor as part of exercises called fighting terrorism, and this coincides with the reception of the pope of the Vatican with celebratory religious rituals.”

The charge sheet also cites as evidence criticism of Jordanian officials’ participation in the Paris march that followed the Charlie Hebdo attack in January; an accusation that the director of Jordan’s Standards and Metrology Organization has encouraged Jordanian farmers to grow grapes for wine production; and criticism of then-Israeli President Shimon Peres’s visit to Jordan in 2013 for the World Economic Forum. The charge sheet notes that Qunaibi has more than 735,000 Facebook followers.

Qunaibi is in Muaqqar II Prison, 40 kilometers southeast of Amman, the capital.

Authorities previously arrested Qunaibi in 2011 and held him for 14 months while prosecuting him for sending money to the Afghan Taliban, which he did not deny. Human Rights Watch wrote to the head of Jordan’s Judicial Council in September 2011 regarding the case, urging the council to halt application of the penal code article then being used to prosecute Qunaibi on the ground that its vague and overly broad nature opens it to political interpretations that can result in violations of freedom of expression. An appeals court later acquitted Qunaibi in that case, but a family member told Human Rights Watch that he remains banned from speaking in mosques.

Freedom of expression is guaranteed under article 15 of Jordan’s constitution. The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), which Jordan has ratified, protects the right to freedom of expression, including “freedom to seek, receive, and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice” (article 19). The Human Rights Committee, which interprets the covenant, has stated that: “States parties should not prohibit criticism of institutions, such as the army or the administration,” and, “All public figures, including those exercising the highest political authority such as heads of state and government, are legitimately subject to criticism and political opposition.”

Under article 9.3 of the ICCPR, “[i]t shall not be the general rule that persons awaiting trial shall be detained in custody.”

“Arrests and prosecutions for peaceful criticism are not only unjustifiable and punitive for those they target, but have a wider chilling effect on free speech and the expression of legitimate dissent,” Whitson said.

Buhari ARRESTS Jafaru Isa, the first APC Chieftain in #Dasukigate

A former military governor of Kaduna State, who’s a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Lawal Jafaru Isa, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. His share is N100M

Isa, a close political associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, was picked up by officials of the anti-graft agency on Wednesday night.

The APC chieftain is the first member of the ruling party that has been arrested by the EFCC in connection to the investigation into the alleged diversion of $2.1 billion meant for the procurement of arms, under the last administration.

Isa, a one-time governorship candidate of the defunct CPC in Kano State, is a close friend of the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

Premium Times reports that Isa was arrested at about 9pm on Wednesday, at his Abuja residence at Ajayi Crowther Street, Asokoro.

He was reportedly invited last week to appear before the EFCC on Wednesday clarify ‘some questionable receipts’ from Dasuki.

@NgrPresident Buhari NEEDS to ARREST KILLERS of Attorney Gen Chief Bola Ige, Abacha #HNNCrime

President Buhari NEEDS to investigate and ARREST in 2016 those who KILLED #OyoState Gov and Nigeria's Attorney Gen Chief Bola Ige. The culture of letting political murders go SCOTT FREE has to stop in Nigeria. There is a long list of murders that have not been solved. Nigeria has a fear of controversy  and that fear has to go. I am fearless and controversial because I stand for the truth. A leader and the Attorney General's murderers don't have to go free in society. Nigeria remains the #2 country in the world for political murders. Jamaica has always been number 1.

Why #Biafrans need to STOP calling @NgrPresident Buhari a Child Rapist and Pedophile

Pls DO NOT call @NgrPresident Buhari a child rapist or pedophile ON MY #socialmedia platforms. I do NOT subscribe to anything I cannot PROVE. I am an award winning international investigative and opinion Journalist and one of those awards came from The White House from President Bill Clinton. If I cannot prove something I will not publish it. Don't post or PROMOTE unsubstiantiated allegations on my pages. There are many bad things Buhari is but that is not one that I have proven. It is especially common with Biafrans. If Nnamdi Kanu said it, let it end with him not you. I don't play around with child pedophilia.

#YejideGirls60 Olunloyo Women Beauty and Brains Feat (Bunmi Olunloyo) #HNNEducation

BEST DANCE CHOREOGRAPHER in #Nigeria. Bunmi Olunloyo. Learn how to dance with her. #FF her on IG @Bunmi_Olunloyo and her Bailamos dance company. She was featured on CNN on her choreography work. She is also a lawyer and she does make up beautifully. She has worked with some big celebrities including Funke Akindele.

The Olunloyo women remain the smartest in Nigeria. Beauty and Brains. Get ready as we celebrate our ancestor Yejide Olunloyo the first girl to go to school in Ibadan, Nigeria. Yejide Girls Grammar school is named after her and the school Mrs Folake Solanke, Nigerian First Ladies Agagu, Fashola, Olunloyo (My Mom), My aunt Late Mrs Peju Art Alade (Darey's mom) and many other prominent Nigerian women.

The school turns 60 this year. Anna Hindrerer. The first two children they received into their home were given them by a young war chief, Olunloyo. He committed his six year old daughter and four year old son, Yejide and Akinyele respectively, to the couple. Yejide insisted on returning home at the end of the first day with the missionaries and persuaded her younger brother to follow her back home, because she had been told that white people eat human beings at night. Akinyele, at first, followed her counsel but soon returned to the mission house while her sister passed the night with her parents. Yejide was only convinced of her safety with the missionary couple when she returned the following day and found her brother alive and well.

It is not certain why Olunloyo gave his children to these strangers in town, about whom many were still uncertain. It may not be possible to ascertain his motive, since he did not live long enough to commit himself to Christianity. However, he was deeply committed to the well being of the missionaries and did all that was within his capacity to see them fully settled in the town. He appears like one of those drawing close to the light of the gospel by degrees when death took him away in the battlefield while the couple was away to England between 1856 and 1857. He only had a foretaste of what conversion could mean when Akielle refused to participate in one of the family's traditional sacrifices after taking residence with the Hinderers. His quiet acquiescence in the face of his son's vehement refusal is the only evidence that a longer acquaintanceship with the mission might have led him in the way of the new faith. However this relationship is understood, Christian tradition in Ibadan today rightly recognizes his children, Yejide and Akinyele, as the first converts to Christianity in Ibadan as well as the first children to go to school.

Why I taught Rapper Olamide a lesson about GOD and Keeping Secrets #HNNMusic

Olamide and his new baby
Most of you heard that I accused the Yoruba rapper of being a ritualist. Speaking to credible sources who confirmed it to me, He has been in the occult world for years along with his late father. The father died recently and my source says he used his own father for rituals so as to succeed in the music business. Olamide said in an interview that he could not sign women on his record label because their lifespan was short in the music industry.

So I replied him by burying his record label and him when I tweeted #RIPOLamide_YBLN. His fans came attacking me asking if I was GOD? Is Olamide GOD predicting the life span of female artists? His fans are mostly core illiterates and street urchins. Olamide came from the dirty streets of Lagos and does not instill enough positivity in his fans. My tweet generated a lot of new negative fans. Maybe I can now teach them something credible in their lives. They asked if I was God predicting his music career death, he's not God saying females can't succeed in the music industry. It's nonentity male artists these that have consistently not allowed the Nigerian music industry to get enough global acclaim. I am a feminist and will reply any topic on gender sensitivity.

Olamide later had a verbal altercation with Don Jazzy on the Headies stage cursing everyone's mother. For someone who cannot sign a female, curse mothers and has a child from a single mother who he says he's not planning to marry, he will be ripped by me.

Nobel Laurate Wole Soyinka's Birthday Dinner cost N82M and govt official wants it PROBED #HNNGov

Soyinka, in a statement entitled, “Those who flounder in the sewage of corruption,” said: “This morning, I saw only the headlines in one or two print media regarding the 80th Birthday dinner to which I was hosted by the former governor of Rivers State, the Honorable Rotimi Amaechi, now Minister of Transportation. I ignored them. It was not, and remains not my business to probe into the catering and logistical implications of the hundreds of institutions and governments all over the world to whom I acknowledge an immense debt of unsolicited recognition over the years.

“Since then however, I have learnt of some unsavory statements by the insecure incumbent of the Rivers State government Lodge. These included a loose invitation to anti-crime agencies to investigate the potential crime of being honoured through any occasion. The unprecedented call by this governor is prescient of a warning I recounted in my recent pamphlet publication THE REPUBLIC OF LIARS, and was taken from my address to an anti-corruption global conference that took place in Tunisia two years ago. Those words were: CORRUPTION STRIKES BACK. In this ongoing instance, that expression translates most vividly as “Those who are neck deep in the sewage of corruption ensure that they splatter sewage in all possible and improbable directions.”

“I do however fully support the Wikeleaks call for multi-directional probes. I recommend further that he involve the services of INTERPOL to guarantee its extension to all international organisations and governments to whom I owe uncountable events of recognition – including birthday luncheons, dinners, cultural receptions and events of real, fictitious, or simply opportunistic flavoring – to which I have submitted myself.

“The descent to this present level of abominable distractions makes one truly despair. It is one that even I did not envisage when I warned – CORRUPTION STRIKES BACK! Whether it brings honour or dishonour to the nation is another matter – I am saddened, but indifferent.

“EFCC and company – over to you! You all know where I live,” Soyinka stated.
