Why is Aisha Buhari frying Akara in the Community? #Nigeria Decides #HNNCommunity

Why is Aisha Buhari frying akara? This is an insult to we dedicated community activists. This show is so fake that electioneering gets that way. While Patience Jonathan her counterpart is out there blasting people with medical abuses and inciting violence, we don't even know the Mrs Sambo counterpart. I've been frying akara and puff puff forever on the streets empowering people. Stop the show and start doing it daily like me!

#HNNCommunity Nigerian Prez Jonathan speaks out on how he EMPOWERS WOMEN

On his Facebook page, he writes:
I have always been an advocate for women empowerment which is why I am proud of the record of the efforts our administration has made. We have appointed more female ministers than any other administration in the history of Nigeria.
I also promoted gender equality by ordering the Nigerian Defence Academy to begin accepting female cadets and I have never regretted that decision as our women folk have gone on to win laurels in Nigeria and abroad. We are all products of womanhood. Never will our women be relegated in our national life. They must ever be visible and appreciated. When you empower women, you empower the family.
Nowhere has this been more prevalent than in the agricultural sector were 2 million farmers are contributing their quota to making Nigeria meet her national food security targets.God bless Nigeria and may God bless our mothers. GEJ

#HNNFiji #Fiji celebrates #OrangeMonth this December by painting the walls #HNNCommunity

Credits Kimberley Sachs

DECEMBER is orange month and the Fiji National University is making that known by painting a 37 metre wall orange in recognition of 16 Days of Activism and the elimination of gender-based violence.

FNU's College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences has taken the call by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon seriously and dedicated much of the month of December to standing up for women's rights and indeed human rights — and encouraging the community to do so also.

"We want to orange up our hood and support the UN Women's call for people to write a message by making an orange wall and inviting the whole community to come and write a message," college Dean Professor Ian Rouse explained yesterday.

"We are trying to get the community involved and encourage everyone, especially boys and men, to write some positive and empowering messages."

The wall, which was painted a bright orange yesterday, is something of a public canvas that people are being invited to write on or draw on with messages pertaining to the elimination of gender violence.

"This year, the UN is calling for more action and to be honest, I think it's time we all got involved. It's time for all to say enough. And it's really time for men to start saying so."

The wall will be painted until December 10, when the 16 Days of Activism officially ends.

#HNNCommunity Mourning the DEVASTATION in my neighborhood #Molete #Ibadan #Nigeria

#HNNImpact I grew up here, I use to come here to the Molete roundabout at 10y/o to buy moinmoin at nite for my late grandmother. I have never seen sheer devastation in my life. This is politics and why we elect leaders. Governor Ajimobi owns a lot of assets in oil and gas. That is how he succeeded as a biz man before he became a Senator. As Governor he has not regulated all these oil and gas tankers that continue to endanger my people. Nobody will stop me from talking. APC is definitely DONE in Oyo state. This state doesn't even have a Senatorial candidate for APC, a position he once held. This culture of personalized governments HAS TO STOP! Fuck my junior sister, Funke Olunloyo, Monsura Sunmonu, the speaker who is a fraud herself authorizing huge 170BN budgets and allowing almost half for infrastructure. YOU ARE ALL THIEVES!

Rest in Peace to #MOLETE.

24 hours later

Governor Ajimobi do your job! Why do u even have a Ministry for Works and Transport? Every big rig tanker should be INSPECTED. You lived in America and claim u are turning Ibadan to a modern city like America. Looks like the money only stays in the USA. UnitedStates of Agodi. To the morons who says Ajimobi has no power to regulate tankers passing thru his city, was your relative burned to death over the weekend? Stop giving me this federal govt bullshit. For all ur weak brains only know my dad was governor for 3 months but none of you knew he also held 40 appointments in 51 years and he designed and built this bridge in 1976 under Governor Jemibewon. The same Buhari that ended my dad's governorship regime is the same one u wanna vote as president? This is why I call Nigerians morons. AS CHAIRMAN OF OYO STATE TRAFFIC COMMITTEE, NO DAMN TANKER OR TRAILER COULD PASS THRU HERE. MY DAD WILL NOT ALLOW IT. THEY ONLY DID IT ILLEGALLY AT NIGHT AS THIS TANKER DID.

Just compare the photos from last Friday when I was visiting my dad. I came to the bridge as a 10 y/o nightly to buy moinmoin for my late grandma. Do not blame the roadside sellers. You are the same one that blames the govt for their poverty.

To all those who lost relatives, stay strong. #RIPMolete

#HNNFood #VIDEO Watch how Northern #Nigerian girls sell the famous #Suya pepper #HNNCommunity

The girls sell the pepper condiment used to make Suya. They sell their own wares next to their fathers making the Suya BBQ treat. This pepper is very precious especially to Nigerians who live overseas that have to import it in.

#HNNCommunity My Above and Beyond Commitment towards #Nigeria's ABANDONED #DISABLED Teens #HNNOpinion

STATUS FOR MY AMERICA and CANADIAN FRIENDS: Nobody who LIVES and grew up in Nigeria will ever get the point why Dr Brantley is #Ebola free!! Get to know how Pharmacy is practiced in MODERN countries I always tell them. Quit praising Dora Akunyili, our former Food and Drug Minister who took her last pill ABROAD because of the poor health care. These morons dead and alive always wanted the power for themselves rather than hire the right people. They always shared power using their tribe etc instead of the QUALIFIED PERSON. I attacked her since 2006 and when she died. Nigerians keep praising her and the others. They ruined our profession. We US/Canadian trained Pharmacists cannot practice in Nigeria and thus I work 22 hrs daily here as a Journalist. Many have no second degree and just go back. You CANNOT walk into a drug store abroad ever to BUY drugs. Everything can be purchased here, even narcotics!!

Now an restricted untested drug ZMapp shows up after Pfizer's Kano polio disaster in the late 90's to 2003 when the Nigerian govt allowed a pharmaceutical giant to test a vaccine and ended up causing DEFORMITIES in several babies??? Many of you Nigerians know NOTHING about our own country sitting around like DUMBASSES! NO ZMapp DRUG is coming here. They will tell you they have run out. The same American scientists that created the virus in 1976. Better know the politics of the big Pharmaceutical giants.

I feed and interview these abandoned disabled teens, those babies now 17-22 years-old weekly in my city. All Northern Nigerians from Kano, Zamfara, Kebbi states who the Nigerian govt take advantage of. Who clothes, feeds and gives these ones an education??

#HNNCommunity SEE Photo of >>@PoliceNg Inspector General directing traffic in #Abuja setting an example for leadership.

Inspector General of Police – MD Abubakar - fully dressed in Traffic Police uniform and controlling traffic at the popular Ministry of Finance Junction at Central Abuja.

No big deal? Chief Blair of the Toronto police used to come to communities driving a police car and doing the beat shifts all the time when I lived there. They should have been doing this way before now to give the NPF good PR but however, NEVER TOO LATE! Nigerians must get to know more top cops and quit their hating cops mentality. Join my NPF cop supporters page.

What Contributions are #Nigerian Youth making ASKS @USEmbassyAbuja? #HNNCommunity

“The U.S. is investing in you because we believe that positive change in Africa will come from a generation that rejects corruption, supports peaceful reforms, and advocates for the rights and dignity of all citizens, regardless of gender, religion, or tribe. You’re that generation” - Chargé d’Affaires Maria Brewer at the pre-departure orientation for our YALI Fellows

#HNNCommunity KKK White Supremacist group recruiting to clean up streets.

KKK recruitment signs showed up but not illegal says the police There is outrage in Emsworth after someone posted signs trying to recruit people to join the KKK.

Police say the signs aren’t illegal, so people in the neighborhood are taking some action of their own.

Some are doing a double take, others are mystified. “Hopefully, they’ll find out who did it and find out what it’s all about,” said one Emsworth resident.

Still others have taken matters into their own hands.

“I tore about 30 of them down,” said another resident. “I told everybody in the neighborhood what I saw, and collectively, we’ve been tearing them down all day. We don’t want it in our neighborhood; we don’t need it in our neighborhood.”

They are Ku Klux Klan recruiting signs, which were posted up and down the main street in Emsworth.

They say things like “Take a stand!! Join the Klan.” They also give instructions on how you can join an organization known for violence and white supremacy.

“It’s a small town, it seems like everybody knows each other here,” an Emsworth resident said. “When you told me what the sign said, I was just actually shocked. It’s hard to believe.”

Despite the fact that it’s illegal to post signs on utility poles, police say the signs themselves aren’t illegal.

“They don’t meet the level of any type of criminal activity. So, at this point, there’s nothing we can really do about it,” said Ohio Township Police Chief Micklos Norbert.

But police aren’t discouraging people from tearing down the signs.

Meanwhile, everyone wants to know who put them up?

“It’s got to be either a kid or somebody from out of town because we’re not like that around here,” the resident who was tearing down the signs said.

#HNNCommunity Why @YRP Chief spent cold nite on the streets to HELP KIDS @360Kids_York.

When I lived in Canada 2007-2012, one good cop I met DIED in a very sad way. He was Constable Garrett Styles. Run over by a teen driving at 5am in the morning with pals. This story is so sad on every level that I can't begin to explain what his family, colleagues and community endured.

Here is the page I built an hour after he was pronounced dead. We had to keep his name in the news.

For months after that, I engaged a lot of people in York region about how we can lead our teens into a better and safer life. Many spoke, we shared ideas. Some were police haters, they were banned from the page, now I live in a country with no emergency response system. YES, Nigeria has no 911 system. You are on your own if someone breaks into your home or even worse. We always have to wait for police at every event and it may be too late!

The Toronto Sun even reported the man shot in front of my house coming from the bank and how I took the bleeding man to the hospital and apparently captured the armed robbers while taking an innocent selfie in the garden. The case was solved with arrests and the man lived. I refused any hero awards after that. I got enough of that in the US and Canada.

Now cut to the chase, Garrett's death is always on my mind and the role of reaching out to teens and young people in general. Enter 360 Kids York. 360ºkids is a community-based organization empowering children, youth and families through prevention, education and advocacy to enhance their overall well-being.

The key word is OVERALL WELL-BEING. The participants of #360Experience got ready to head out onto the streets all over York Region to different shelters and help get homeless kids off the streets.

The highly dedicated York regional Police Chief Eric Jolliffe was out there too as you see above in that tweet. See how leadership begins from the top? More photos later today. If we can improve the life of one kid, we have done our jobs. This is why I reached out as a Toronto Police CPLC member at 12 Division when I lived there.

KUDOS to YRP and 360ºkids!! We are watching you from Africa!! Social media brings us together!

Follow @HNNAfrica and @Snitchlady on twitter for the album when its posted. We are still 5 hours ahead of them. Many in Africa are major police haters here. Maybe we can learn something here people. Police and community working together. It ain't a one way street, it's a two way street.

Se e gbo eyin eyan mi!! (My people can you hear me??)

KOO 4.20am Nigeria 3/21/14.
