HEARTBREAKER KNOWS SHE'S THE WOMAN BEHIND NE-YO'S HITS.

The woman behind R&B sensation NE-YO's pained love songs knows she's helping to make her ex millions - because he keeps telling her. The singer/songwriter admits new song Stop the World and hits So Sick and Do You are all inspired from one broken romance - and he still speaks to the ex-girlfriend who broke his heart when he was a teenager. He says, "I talk to her from time to time. She knows she's responsible. Her man knows, her daughter knows, and they're flattered. "She makes for great song lyrics, but she better not ask for 10 per cent."

The babe in the picture however is his current girlfriend.

PLIES SETS UP NEW ORGANISATION TO AID THE INCARCERATED.

Rapper PLIES has set up his own non-profit organisation aiming to help cash-strapped convicts cover legal costs. The Big Gates and Plies Power Of Visions will provide funding for legal representation and aid to needy individuals, specifically those who are incarcerated. The organisation will also provide educational forums, classes, workshops, training, opportunities, and other charitable activities aimed at rehabilitated former prisoners Plies hopes his new venture will promote preventative measures aimed at combating re-incarceration in the Tampa and Ft. Myers areas of Florida.

The organisation's first drive will be the Somebody Loves You Scholarship Fund 2008, which is named after the rapper's new song. It is designed specifically for students attending an accredited college or university, who have a parent incarcerated, and who is financially disadvantaged. Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to one male and one female.

AMY IS GETTING BETTER AND HAPPIER WITH THE HATERS VANISHING!

AMY WINEHOUSE was relieved when MARK RONSON walked out of a recent recording session - because the superproducer was too "uptight". Ronson produced most of Winehouse's Grammy-winning album Back To Black and has recently been working on material for her forthcoming third LP. But the music maker failed to connect with the Rehab star during a week of recording in Oxford, England last month (May08) and stormed off after a bust-up. Ronson subsequently hit out at Winehouse, referring to the singer's recent drug and alcohol problems, saying, "I'm not sure Amy is ready to work on music yet." But Winehouse insists she was happy that Ronson left - as she was able to work on her music in peace.

She tells Rolling Stone magazine, "We are close enough that I thought we could be like, 'Hello, darling, it's me,' "I played him tracks I liked, just getting the vibe, and he was like, 'Amy, come, let's work.' He was really just uptight. "He left after three days, and I was like, 'Breathe a sigh of relief, I'm in the country and I can write.'" Meanwhile, she has hit out at rumours she is suffering from an eating disorder - putting her skeletal figure down to stress. The star has endured a variety of health problems so far this year (08), including a trip to rehab to kick her drink and drug addictions and a bout of highly contagious skin condition impetigo.

And last week the Back To Black hitmaker was hospitalised after collapsing at her London home. She was subsequently diagnosed with traces of deadly lung disease emphysema. But it is her super-skinny frame that has sparked major fears for her health - and led to rumours she is suffering from anorexia. However, Winehouse has dismissed the speculation surrounding her size, insisting she is eating normally and actually trying to put on weight. She tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I'm on a strict pizza diet. I'm on a strict put-weight-on diet. I love food. I'm just stressed out."

I heard that Amy also has reportedly turned down a lucrative book deal - because she feels she is too young to write her life story. The Back To Black hitmaker has struggled with a variety of personal problems throughout her career, including drug and alcohol addiction and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil being incarcerated on charges of assault and perverting the course of justice. But the 24-year-old star is adamant that she won't be documenting her troubles any time soon - and the lure of a multi-million dollar fee will not change her mind.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "Amy's been battling off book deals for over a year, but the latest offer would have earned her millions.

"But she thought the idea was ludicrous and turned it down outright. Firstly, she feels she's far too young at 24 and secondly, when she does get round to publishing her life story, she wants to write it herself. She doesn't need a ghost writer." She insists her problems with drugs and alcohol stem from "boredom" and feeling like she has "nothing to live for". In a rare interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the Back To Black hitmaker reveals that after her husband Blake Fielder-Civil was jailed on charges of assault and perverting the course of justice in November 2007, she felt like her life wasn't worth living.

Emphysema, Anorexia, Tuberculosis, Impetigo? Seems like everyone's Amy's Doctor. Boy, did ma gurl look good at the Mandela concert yesterday in the above picture!!! LONG LIVE AMY !

LOPEZ TO GIVE DEPOSITION IN COMBS' SHOOTING LAWSUIT.

Singer/actress JENNIFER LOPEZ has been subpoenaed to testify in a lawsuit filed against hip-hop mogul SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS over his involvement in a 1999 New York club shooting. The Latina was dating Combs at the time of the incident, and was present at the now-defunct Club New York when shots were fired in the venue on 27 December 1999, injuring two people. Combs' rap protege Shyne, real name Jamal Barrow, is currently serving a 10-year jail term after he was found guilty of assault, reckless endangerment and gun possession in the trial following the shooting. The rap heavyweight was arrested for various charges including weapons violations, but was acquitted of all counts.

However, both Combs and Shyne are currently fighting a $130 million (£65 million) civil suit filed by victim Natania Reuben, who was shot in the face during the incident. Combs completed his deposition in the case in March (08), but now Lopez must reveal all she knows at an upcoming deposition after being served by Reuben's lawyers last week (ends20Jun08), according to the New York Post. She was not called as a witness in the 2001 criminal trial and split from Combs shortly afterwards. A judge will soon be required to decide whether Shyne acted alone or as part of Combs' Bad Boy collective - the record label the hip-hop giant founded in 1993 - before the case goes to trial.

If both Combs and Shyne are required to stand trial, it will be up to a jury to decide who should take responsibility for the shooting. Shyne, who did not testify during the criminal trial, may be required to take the stand and testify about the incident. He is currently incarcerated at the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York State, and could be released as early as next year (09).

JENNIFER LOPEZ is at the centre of a $5 million lawsuit after her pet dog allegedly attacked an air stewardess. Lisa Wilson filed suit in New York's Brooklyn Federal Court on Thursday (26Jun08) claiming that the singer/actress' dog Floyd "lunged" at her when she walked past him during a flight in 2006. Wilson claims she fell over after she was bitten and needed surgery for debilitating back pain, reports TMZ.com. A spokesman for Lopez was unavailable for comment.

LATEST: Rapper RICK ROSS has put a stop to marriage reports claiming he is to wed FOXY BROWN - insisting it's a false rumour. The stars were expected to reveal their happy news at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on Tuesday (24Jun08) - but the announcement never came. And now the Here I Am MC has shot down the wedding talk, telling MTV.com, "Nah, nah, nah. The engagement is just speculation. I'm married to the money."
