R&B ARTIST PRINCE YOUNG ON AFRO FUSION TV.

Prince Young is a Canadian R&B artist and rising star. He was on a very nice but simple Sunday Morning interview today on Afro Fusion TV on local Rogers TV in Toronto. He spoke about his music and goals and also about the death of his brother and how that made him send more positive messages out to youth today. MASTER P'S 14-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER JUMPS INTO THE MUSIC BUSINESS.

Master P.'s 14-year-old daughter hopes to follow in the footsteps of her father, brother and uncles, by launching a career in the music business.

Cymphonique Miller recently signed a record deal with Sony Music, in addition to a new television deal with Nickelodeon.

Her first single under the deal with Sony is titled "Daddy I'm A Rockstar," which is a "new genre" of music Cymphonique has dubbed "Hip Rock Pop."

Cymphonique, who is an honor student, will be one of the keynote speakers at a charity event this November titled "From Girlz II Women," sponsored by the Urban Born Foundation.

The focus of the event is to "empower young girls to become effective women of tomorrow," according to Urban Born's founder, Johnel Langerston.

LADY GAGA and KATY PERRY are set to go head-to-head at this year's (10) M TV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) with five nominations a piece.The pop stars are leading the field ahead of the awards show in November (10) with nods in categories including Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song - and they will compete against Rihanna in all three categories. Miley Cyrus and Usher join the trio in the Best Pop category, while Shakira and Cyrus are also up for Best Female. The Best Song prize will be a competition between Gaga's Bad Romance, Perry's California Gurls and Usher's OMG, while Rihanna features twice wit h Rude Boy and her Eminem collaboration Love the Way You Lie.

The pair's rap collaboration will also go up against Gaga's Telephone and Perry's California Gurls in the Best Video category, along with Thirty Seconds to Mars' Kings and Queens and Plan B's Prayin'. ADAM LAMBERT SAYS PHOTOG SCUFFLE WAS HARMLESS.

ADAM LAMBERT has dismissed allegations he grappled with a photographer during a scuffle in Florida on Thursday (16Sep10) - calling the incident "harmless". The American Idol star became angry with a paparazzo during an outing to a Miami beach with friends, and was reported to have wrestled the man to the ground. Lambert fuelled rumours of a physical altercation by mentioning the incident in a post on his Twitter.com page, telling fans, "I lost my temper for a sec (second) but wow it felt great..."

But the singer has returned to the microblogging site to clear up rumours the dispute became physical. He writes, "Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground... It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime - that's all I'm guilty of."

The use of Facebook and Twitter has made a huge impact in crime fighting in Toronto, so big in fact that the 'bad guys' know it and want it shut down. On Wednesday someone posted extremely inappropriate material to the Facebook page for the TPS.At the time of the post, Constable Scott Mills, the man behind the scenes, was at a funeral. He came back to work to discover that the photos, which were of graphic, brutal and pornographic matters. They had been posted to the page by someone with a bogus account.

Toronto Police Intel discovered the photos but not before they had been on the page for a few hours. Because of that person's actions the page no longer allows for photos and video to be posted by the public. That move was a hard one for Mills.Constable Mills is one of the nicest men you will ever talk to. His dedication to serving the people of Toronto is non-stop. Scott works with the Public Information Unit. The unit is behind the press releases that journalists use to begin their reports on crime in the city. The unit is also behind the department's social media networking. For the past six years Scott has been the key player for that part of the work.Six years ago Mills teamed up with Crime Stoppers.

The move was a bold one for the police and for Mills personally. If Crime Stoppers didn't work out online then it would be unlikely for the Toronto Police to move into the social media age. While the program partners with the police it is not part of the Toronto Police Service. Crime stoppers is a group of concerned citizen volunteers serve on the Board of Directors to oversee the Toronto Crime Stoppers program. The TPS provides them a coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations and talks the program School Crime Stoppers but that's their limit. The program celebrated their 25th year in Toronto in 2010.

He posted the first video on YouTube in April 2007 launching a new way for the site to connect with the public. From YouTube came a page on Facebook to a Twitter account and a presence on Vibe.TO.Mills efforts paid off. In 2009 there were a record number of tips that lead to arrests. One-third of the more than 10,300 tips were drug-related.By 2010 Toronto Police had a good view of what social media networking could be doing for the city. Mills left Crime stoppers in April right before the G20 Summit to become the Social Media Officer for TPS.While the tips on crimes is invaluable to the police it's the stories that don't get in the media because they never happened that are most telling of the use of the program."Since I started with Crime stoppers I can say that we have stopped crimes from taking place.

Two school shooting didn't happen because of the tips we received and countless teenagers didn't commit suicide because we were alerted through social media networking."Getting those tips in takes a lot of work. It's more than the 40 hours that Mills is paid for. He works hard, often in the background because he knows that the program is making the streets of Toronto safer."I sleep better at night because of this work. It's very productive and very time consuming.The possibilities of how to use social media in policing are endless, it's a huge tool. The TPS is putting a lot of faith into this program."

RAPPER PETEY PABLO GOT NEXT WITH GUN CHARGES!

Rapper Petey Pablo was arrested on Saturday, September 11, after trying to get a gun through airport security. The rapper, also known by his legal name, Moses Barrett II, was arrested at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. He allegedly had a gun in his carry-on bag.

Charges against the rapper include carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a stolen firearm. He was on the way to LA for the VMA’s when airport security found a Smith & Wesson 639 in Pablo’s carry-on luggage. Petey Pablo’s Real Life “Get Me Out of Jail” Experience:Petey Pablo is already out of jail on a $50,000 bond. He is due in court in North Carolina on Monday.So, how much sense does it make to carry a gun through an airport these days? Especially if you are a felon and the weapon is stolen?

To top it all off, Pablo tried to get through the airport with the gun on the anniversary of 9/11, when security is always heightened. Smart.Seems like Petey Pablo was almost begging to be arrested.

Will.i.am Defends His VMAs Blackface Make-Up.

Will.i.am has caused controversy by attending 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in an "all black everything" ensemble. The Black Eyed Peas star wore black outfit from head to toe, literally, with his face painted dark.

Apparently learning that his choice of fashion style has offended some people, will.i.am quickly wrote on his Twitter to downplay the issue. He started his self-defense, "1st. just because I where all black including head mask as expression and emphasize my outfit, it shouldn't be looked at as racial..."

"Let go of the past. there are far more important things 2 bark about. (Jobs, health, education) not a black man wearing all black everything," he continued. "Are you guys serious? my outfit set 'black people back 100 yrs' choose your twits wisely. no education sets people back, no jobs, bad health."

While some people slammed will.i.am, Lil Duval took it as a comedy. "I think will i am took a dip in the oil spill for that performance," he posted on his own page, referring to the rapper's "Check It Out" performance with Nicki Minaj. Duval later on added, "I'm a comedian people so if u get upset u look real stupid."

Blackface first gained popularity during the 19th century and typically promotes racist stereotypes toward African Americans. Earlier this year, Estelle also came under fire for using black paint to cover her body and face in "Freak" music video. At that time, she responded to the controversy, saying "I'm black, so how do I do blackface? Missy [Elliott] did the same thing [with her video]. She's a B***h. I refuse to defend it, I didn't put any white ring around my mouth - never that."

RAPPER T.I ORDERED TO APPEAR IN FRONT OF FEDERAL JUDGE!

On Thursday U.S. District Judge Charles Pannel Jr., ordered to appear before a federal judge in Atlanta and explain why his probation should not be revoked because of his recent arrest in Los Angeles. Pannell did not set a date for the hearing.

The order lists three possible violations of his bond: possession of ecstasy on Sept. 1, testing positive for opiates on Sept. 2 and associating on Sept. 1 with Cortez Thomas, a convicted felon.

Several pills that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department called a "controlled substance" were found on Grammy award-winning rapper and his new wife after they were stopped Sept. 1 on a Hollywood street after making an illegal U-turn.

It is reported that the pills were found on T.I. and his new wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, and not in the Maybach, the luxury car they were in.

KANYE'S CRAZY SONG IS VOTED AS HIS BEST SINGLE.

It has been five days, but Kanye West's "Runaway" is still in heavy rotation in the MTV Newsroom. We're still trading our favorite lines and allowing ourselves to get wrapped up in the haunting piano line that tumbles in and out of the beamed-from-Pluto beat.

It's truly a great song and will no doubt end up on countless best-of lists at the end of the year. But how does it match up against West's library of killer singles?

ADAM LAMBERT ALLEGEDLY BEATS UP PHOTOG!

Former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert is accused of simple battery on a photographer on Miami Beach.

A police report says 38-year-old Victor Eras was taking pictures of the singer Thursday when Lambert started running toward him "in an aggressive manner." Eras claims Lambert grabbed his back pack and wrestled him to the ground. The photographer did not suffer any injuries. He declined

to comment to The Associated Press on Friday.

No arrests were made. A police spokesman says there will not be an investigation. The state attorney's office will review the report and decide if any charges will be filed. TMZ first reported the alleged attack.

Lambert's publicist did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

KID ROCK TRIAL JURY AWARDS BEATEN MAN $40,000.

A suburban Atlanta jury awarded $40,000 Friday to a man who says musician Kid Rock and his entourage beat him and smashed his cell phones during a 2007 fight at a Waffle House restaurant.

Harlen Akins sued Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, and five members of his entourage over the fight. DeKalb County State Court Judge Johnny Panos on Thursday dismissed two of the defendants.

Akins sought $6,000 in medical fees and an unspecified amount in punitive damages. The jury decided not to award punitive damages, but gave him $40,000 in compensatory damages.

The jury saw a lot of provocation from both sides and couldn't attribute blame completely to either, said the foreman, who declined to give his name.

THE 2010 BET HIP-HOP AWARDS NOMINATIONS ARE OUT WITH JAY-Z LEADING WITH ELEVEN!!

Rap superstar Jay-Z will lead the way at the 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards after scoring 11 nominations.

The hip-hop mogul is up for the top prizes of Lyricist of the Year, Best Live Performer and CD of the Year for "The Blueprint 3", while his Alicia Keys collaboration "Empire State of Mind" has put him in the running for the Track of the Year and Perfect Combo titles.

Jay-Z will have stiff competition from the likes of Lil Wayne proteges Drake and Nicki Minaj they've scored eight and six nominations, respectively. All three artists will battle it out with Eminem and Wayne for Lyricist of the Year, and Jay-Z will face his pal Kanye West in the Best Live Performer category, alongside Drake, Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes.

The CD of the Year award category will be a scrap between Jay-Z's "The Blueprint 3", Drake's "Thank Me Later", Eminem's "Recovery", Rick Ross' "Teflon Don" and "B.o.B Presents The Adventures of Bobby Ray" by B.o.B.

Jay-Z dominates the Best Hip-Hop Video category with three nods - "Empire State of Mind", "Run This Town" and "On to the Next One" will go up against B.o.B.'s "Nothin' on You" and Drake's "Find Your Love". Damian is the son of legendary Canadian reggae singer Tanya Mullings. This is a tribute to his grandpa. Damian's late grandpa Karl Mullings is a legendary manager/promoter and producer. This young man is HIGHLY talented. Music runs in the veins of children of musicians. He's a natural.

Remember what Hall of Fame April Wine's Myles Goodwin said at the JUNOS? "Teach your children at least ONE instrument." KJ is learning the guitar and drum set now. Tanya and KJ are great pals. She once changed her awesome FB profile picture to the picture below.
