Chris Bundas has some hot swagga! Ladies have to e-mail me to get a piece of Chris.
KJ took in some good rock music alongside fans
Louis Bundas is their Manager and father of Chris and Matt

It is not news if you have not heard that MRO (if I can get my hand on their logo name MяO™)
won the first two band contests that may lead them to
London, UK where they will open up for Bon Jovi. This is a rock'n'Roll band that I have been following from day one. The Gandinetti and the Bundas brothers were at Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Toronto just 2 weeks ago where KJ and I attended their first challenge in the "Battle of the Bands" and they soared with some sets out of this world. Going to an MRO show is a PARTY! They are not a cookie cutter band. Everything's original and smooth.
The album name is a secret and there may even be a song about me...lol. OK, they spoke to me about young children getting into music and how we have all seen them popping up as YouTube phenomenoma. They really value the fact that LIVE music and playing the actual instruments is a valued thing when delivering good music to an audience. I talked to Matt Bundas the drummer in the band about the dynamics of drumming. Watch that segment in the video.
I spoke to
David and Daniel Grandinetti and how the bass guitarists connect with the drummers, in this case with Matt. Daniel is the vocalist and does a good job at it!!
Chris Bundas is the guitarist with some
"extra" swagga aka lead Guitarist. The shiny lens glasses always on making his good looks even hotter. I tried to snatch them off his face but he guaranteed that there is another one coming right out of his pocket. Tonight 2/23/11 is the finals and we wish them good luck in winning this trophy. MRO is the band that woke up Rock N'Roll!
ALL PERFORMANCE SETS ARE COMING TONIGHT.
ABOUT MяO™The New Rock N’ Roll…
When Mary Rose Obsession released their demos for their upcoming studio LP and hit the clubs of their home town Toronto, they caused a roar in the local rock scene. Finally… a real rock n roll band had surfaced after many years gone. The band quickly became notorious for their image, sound and shows being an energetic party atmosphere; wild fans singing and dancing, loud and rowdy, lots of alcohol and gorgeous women to top off the great music. This band knew how to rock… and how to roll; something that has been lacking in the music world for a long time. Without question… this band had something about them.
But if the industry and fans thought that this was the peak of the two pairs of brothers’ power, they may want to reconsider after hearing “Mary Rose Obsession’s” debut studio album “Chains to Nowhere.” Released by their own independent label; F.A.M.E Records, “Chains to Nowhere” continues the bands goal of bringing rock n’ roll back to the mainstream.
The truth is… we all can't deny the love of a good rock n' roll song. Whether you’re a fan of jazz, country, hip hop, rap, or even opera, chances are you're a fan of Rock N' Roll. Yes… Rock N Roll is music, but it's also so much more. Everyone has a little of that attitude… the coolness… the swagger… the edge that is associated with Rock N' Roll …and everyone would like to have a little more. Why? Because it’s a lifestyle…it's infectious…it's decadent…it's fantasy.
The music of Mary Rose Obsession (MRO) has been attracting the attention of crowds wherever they go…Why? MRO is a good old-fashioned Rock N’ Roll band with a modern edge. Classic…Timeless! They are bringing back the party, the energy, the sincerity in music. The intensity is growing! Yes, Rock N’ Roll still lives… it just has a new face… a new name… Mary Rose Obsession.
"We put our money where our mouths were and took the band to its next level. It’s tough to get a break in this industry and we weren’t going to wait around for someone to give us our shot and tell us how to do it. We were going to get our shot ourselves and do it our way… now!" adds guitarist and lyricist Christopher Bundas.
"We want to leave a big mark…” lead singer Daniel Grandinetti continued. “We started our own record label and went into one of the top studios in Canada to record. We brought in some of the most well respected people in the business to help us do it too.” The band has taken its time with a number of the industry’s tops to produce this album to the fullest.
In May of 2009, the brothers of MRO started tracking at Metalworks studio just outside of Toronto. Alongside co-producer and head engineer Chris Crerar, (Three Days Grace, The Stills, Moneen,) lightning struck with their recordings and the Toronto indie band was on their way with something big. After spending a year in the studio recording and mixing, the album was then sent down to Hollywood, California where Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver,) gave the final touches in mastering. The record came back undoubtedly… delivering on every level.
“Chains to Nowhere” has every type of song you need for it to be the soundtrack of your life. It’s one of those records you put in the car and just drive to. With its stunning melodies, driving guitars, and undeniable grooves, “Chains to Nowhere” surpasses the promise that Mary Rose Obsession is new… is fresh… is “Rock N’ Roll”. From the lead track and first single off the album “She Used To”, let the record play through all 14 songs and you won’t find a disappointment. Whether it’s the feel good “Rock N’ Roll Queen” or the vulnerable “Say Goodbye”, the emotional intensity, raw energy and true talent is so refreshing to hear and connect with. “Chains to Nowhere” is all heart and soul from start to finish… Literally speaking as the album is a concept that tells a unique and haunting story, deep within the hooks and catchy rock n’ roll melodies.
Based on lost journal entries that date back to April 14th 2006, the album takes you on a rollercoaster by diving into the emotions and characteristics of an obsessive personality. The concept shows the journey of an individual’s struggle with their obsessions and how it becomes a never ending circle, an overwhelming battle that takes control of everything in your life. Sex, drugs, money, lies, lust, love and fame. … The trip of self destruction down obsession’s way…
Based out of Toronto, this Canadian Rock N’ Roll band consists of lead singer and guitarist Daniel Grandinetti, bassist David Grandinetti, lead guitarist Christopher Bundas, and drummer Matthew Bundas. The two pair of brothers have created a modern sound of Rock N’ Roll for a new generation. No auto tune… no Mickey Mouse branding. The band believes in the roots of rock where the musicians wrote, sang, and played their own material based on their experiences…their lives. They spent the time and the money, worked with some of the industry's top professionals and made an album that was a reflection of themselves, something they would be proud of, an eclectic snapshot in time…something they felt would leave their mark on the history of music.
There is an aura that surrounds the band…their style, the sound, the energy. They exude confidence…a kind of hypnotic trance not seen in a long time. The boys of MRO are bringing back the party…and you definitely want to be on the guest list.
